We've stayed here previously and believe it's still a very nice place to stay while downtown. We love the room setup and the staff is friendly and helpful. The internet is the biggest let down, even if you use the computer available in the lobby. When I saw that I would have to use an ethernet cable, I knew this wasn't going to be good! Hopefully by my next visit, the hotel will be offering wireless internet service.

Great location; clean, attractive room; friendly and helpful staff. The Residence Inn Downtown Memphis is centrally located and convenient to the Convention Center, Riverfront, Beale Street and more. The hotel is in a renovated historic apartment building and is adjacent to the trolley lines that serves all of the downtown district. A great stay and I'll stay again.

Our room was great---full frig, dishwasher etc--- not that we used it. You are 3 blocks from Beale so you can walk everywhere. The breakfast is great and complete AND-- beer on tap for happy hour--free!

Enjoyed our stay. Staff and services at the hotel, along with the room was fantastic. It was close enough to Beale Street and other attractions. We would highly recommend this hotel to our family and friends.

Very close to Beale street. Did not have a pool. This is a great hotel. Its very close to Beale Street, looks nice & is very safe. The breakfast was also very tasty. My only complaint is that it said it had a pool & it in fact does not only a small Jacuzzi on the roof, which is nice.

I found everything to be very satisfactory from the courtesy of the employees to the cleanliness of the room. Very comfortable feather top bed, and nice view from roof top hot tub.

Loved the layout of the room studio; location was nice. Liked everything. Located in an old building in Downtown Memphis. Residence Inn did a great job in keeping their layout of rooms. Heard people I didn't know on Beale Street telling others about how nice their rooms were at the Residence Inn. Location was great for Downtown attractions.

I've traveled alot and this hotel was by far the worst,do not go here, and if you do make sure you have all your belongings, because if you dont you will never see them again.

The suite was excellent in every way - far exceeded our expectations. The staff was so helpful - advised us where to eat with children - absolutely perfect. On the day it drizzled, front desk manager stopped us and provided unbrellas! Breakfast was delicious - great coffee. The hot tub was absolutely divine. Housekeeping was so gracious. Just a lovely stay. Valet very prompt. Great place for a family. I can hardly wait to go back.

The employees were pleasant and helpful. The rooms were very nice and clean. That they did not pay for the parking and wanted $10 more to valet than the parking garage charged. This hotel is very nice. It is perfect right along the trolley route and easy access to many attractions in the town. The parking is the worst thing. I feel if the validation of parking was included in the price of the room it would have been acceptable.

A wonderful hotel. The location couldn't be better. The staff was always asking how things were going. We had the car valet parked and the attendent would ask every evening if we the the car the next morning, as he would have it ready at the front door for us. The breakfast and evening cocktail hour was extraordinary. the rooms were always cleaned in a timely manner. I would stay here again without a doubt.

Architecture, staff, location, room design. No food in room, TV's not flat screen. Well, totally pleased. Great location and great price. The rooms are totally cool and comfortable and the entire staff is helpful and smiley.

I stayed here with my parents for the weekend. It was great to be within walking distance of Beale Street, the Gibson guitar factory, the Civil Rights Museum, the Main Street Trolley, and many other attractions. The room was very nice. We had a Queen bed with a pull-out couch. The room had a a kitchenette area and the room was multi-layered with a privacy wall between the bed and the living room area. Very unique. The hotel itself is beautiful. It has been taken very good care of. It's old time beauty and been restored wonderfully. Beautiful lobby. Also had a nice breakfast buffet in the am.

Close to Beale Street w/o the noise. Great hotel. Early check-in was difficult to do w/o manager's help. Aside from one less than helpful front desk clerk, hotel is excellent. Great location in heart of city, close enough to walk to Beale Street w/o the noise when you're ready for bed. Great staff, rooms are nice, free breakfast is worth eating and happy hour for quick sandwich and beer if you like. I'll stay here from now on.

My wife & I stayed here for a weekend with our baby. Though a suite, our first room was very small. The fire escape layout revealed that we were in a corner room which was literally half the size of the normal rooms. We asked for a bigger room and thankfully they accommodated and also provided a crib (we had requested in advance, but they still struggled to find one). Once settled, the room was very nice, multi leveled and nice view of the River and downtown. Kitchen, two tvs, lovely bed, everything was great, even the crib. The staff was helpful and kind. Overally a good stay and nice quiet hotel. The location is pretty ideal, a block from the trolley rail line, and a couple blocks from all the downtown happenings and Beale Street. The only downside is the expense of the valet parking and the inconvenience of it. We typically waited 20 minutes for our vehicle b/c they only had one guy working there. Others in our group had similar issues. Not a great convenience for $15/day. It is downtown so parking is tight, but I think there was cheaper public parking nearby (we did valet b/c of the baby).

"I live in Memphis and wanted to get away . The room was nice, clean and very comfortable. We went up on the roof to use the hot tub and it was so hot you could not put your foot in it. We walked next door to McEwen's for coffee and dessert that was very yummy. Breakfast at the hotel buffet was typical of a hot buffet, but area needed cleaning and the employees were all eating and helping themselves. We left there and took coffee and the paper on the roof and had an enjoyable morning just watching the river and feeling the wind."

The staff were very friendly when we checked in they even told us about the rooftop patio with a view and hottub. The view was great but cold smelly tub. The suite was very nice. There was no do not disturb sign so housekeeping kept knocking the next morning.

"The all you can eat buffet was fantastic. The full kitchen was great, we went around the corner to Walgreens and brought snacks and filled up fridge."
