Date of Stay: July, 2007

This was our first stay at a Residence Inn. We were very pleasantly surprized at the quality for the price. We will definitely consider Residence Inns on future trips and hope they are as good as this one. Elevator was not operating. We were assisted in moving into our second floor room. And aide immediately went to get our Platinum gift of cookies and bottled water. Room was very conducive to doing both work and pleasure.

It was a great hotel, I loved the shuttle to the airport. The rooms were fantastic and the bed was very comfortable. The only bad thing is that there are no restaurants near the hotel. The breakfast was excellent. Will definitely recommend this hotel.

This whole experience was fabulous!! The Residence Inn by Marriott in Charleston WV is just an all around great place. The layout of our suite was perfect!! The living area was very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked (down to the pitcher and measuring cup!) The linens made for great sleeping and the housekeeper even made an elephant out of a towel and set it on our bed. The bathroom was separate from the vanity area and made it easier to get ready for the day. The staff was the friendliest I have ever experienced, from the front desk to the houskeepers. The pool area was really nice and the hot tub was great!! They even had a picnic area by the pool with two huge grills!! The hotel was very secure--keys were required to get in and out of the pool area and to get into entrances except the main entrance. The hotel was close to the airport and downtown. It was on the top of a hill and the landscape was beautiful. I would love to stay there again--and will if I ever go back.

The room was comfortable, clean and organized. I felt like I was at home, and that is a big compliment. Over all, this was a great experience, and I even extended our stay. I couldn't find anything to be improved. Food was great, staff was kind and attentive. The bed was extraordinary.

We rented several rooms for a gathering there. The staff were friendly, the location was good, the breakfast was terrific, the rooms appeared to be clean, but they were smelly. The hotel allows dogs and apparently they do not clean the carpets after dogs use them to do their business. Yuck, very nasty smelling! It was more than one room with this problem! I would not stay there again.

The room was clean and big and the staff was nice. Without a navigation system it could be confusing to find. It was a great experience. Very clean rooms along with a friendly staff make a short stay nice and a long stay great.

Wonderful free breakfast buffet. They need a larger sign at the entrance. This was my first stay in a Residence Inn. I was very impressed and would certainly be glad to stay there again. The room was very comfortable. It would be great for extended stays since it had a stove and refrigerator. The breakfast buffet was very good.

All staff very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. This was a very clean hotel. Continental breakfast very nice. Nothing. We stayed at this hotel for one night while attending an event at the Charleston Civic Center. The hotel was great. One of the better places we have stayed. Location was quiet but a short drive to the civic center. The hotel staff was great and very helpful. We will definitely stay her again if in the area.

All accommodations are suites. Difficult to find. Value, value, value. Great for extended stays. Wonderful hot breakfasts every morning with a lot of variety.
