Residence Inn Cal Expo Sacramento. As a Marriott Platinum member (120 nights in Marriotts in 2009)I was shocked at the condition of this room. Carpet and couch had holes, water heater was leaking, fan turned on by itself in the middle of the night (electrical short). Mold on shower curtain, bathroom floor curling up. Room would not cool below 85, front desk said that the air conditioner termostat was locked so that one unit did not freeze out entire property...the only problem is they all had their own air conditioning unit.

Free breakfast. Room a little dated. Overall a good experience, clean and well located, room a little dated and mattress needs to be replaced soon.

We stayed here to attend the NCAA volleyball tournament. Overall, the room was alright. We got a studio (expected a double) for 4 people. This made things very cramped. The sofa sleeper was uncomfortable, and they never gave us enough bedding and towels, we had to keep asking. The bed was comfortable. The hotel appeared a little older than the photos on the website, a little worn. Pluses, close to Arden fair mall - good shopping, breakfast was good. Staff overall was nice, helpful when asked.

The Residence Inn Sacremento Cal Expo was nicely located in a residential area and restaurants. An upstairs unit that was very quiet from traffic and other quests. The room was a large suit with a full kitchen, table, couch as well as the bed. Nicely decorated and was very clean. The down side was the smell when you first walked in like cigrettes or dirty carpet and the closet door was open and off the track. Since my visit was so short and arrived late and left early, I delt with the smell and didn't use the closet. Their breakfast had a nice selection and everything was hot and delecious. The lobby area where the breakfast was served had a staff member replenish the food and was very clean.

Hotel very clean, rooms nice and large. Nothing. This was one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. We had a very nice time.

After a long day on the road, we were delighted to be greeted by such a friendly staff. They told us about their services and bragged on about the breakfast. It was as good as they said. I'd stay there again and recommend it to friends. Good job! Good value too.

I like that the Residence Inn feels like a small apartment. The bed was not comfortable.

We truly enjoyed our one week stay @ the Residence Inn. We have always stayed at a Vacation Home while traveling because we have a large family--so I wasn't sure if the room would be comfortable for us. But we were pleased! The living area wasn't as cramped as it seemed in the photos online. Our only disappointment was that the upstairs bedroom provided no privacy because of the half wall! Everyone loved the great breakfast! We also like that each complex was set up like separte apartments--so we felt like home. Cost of laundering was a little expensive though.

Convenient, comfortable, had kitchen and office space. My college age daughter decided to stay with us at the last minute and we were able to accomplish that because of the fold out couch in the room. We enjoyed using the kitchen and office facilities also. My husband, daughter and I also used the little, but adequate fitness room on-site.

The breakfast buffet was great, the jacuzzi and gym were very close to the room and the room was very large. The in room kitchen was convenient! Highly recommend.

Price and location. Nothing. Breakfast is always good stayed many times and the hotel is consistently clean.

The multiple pools. Motel, expected a hotel. There was nothing to indicate that this hotel was actually a motel, so I was in for a surprise when I got there. All Red Lions I had stayed in before had been hotels, so that is what I expected. It was still nice and there was no reason to feel unsafe, I was simply disappointed I had not gotten what I expected. The multiple pools were very nice and allowed for easy access from any room in the motel.

Conveniently located near the Cal Expo/Arden Fair area. They serve a very good breakfast and have Manager's Hospitality hour that included BBQ hamburgers and hot dogs in the evening. Overall, it was a very nice place to stay.

Great breakfast in the morning. Bed was a little lumpy. Great rooms friendly service, I do prefer a pillow top mattress. But I will definitely stay her again.

Large room with separate kitchen. Bathroom a not cleaned properly. This hotel is conveniently located, the room was very large with a full kitchen and living room area. The free breakfast was great, with a large selection of breakfast goodies and a large dining room area.

We loved the nice quality bed and bedding. No posting of rates or check out time. I was very happy with this hotel. We had a really comfortable bed and the bedding was very clean. The room was nice and big and refurbished. There free movies and free microwave popcorn was a nice additional touch. They also have a really nice fireplace in the room but were sold out of the fire logs.

Good breakfast. Well-appointed rooms with sofas, dining table, chairs, and Internet access. Small debris floating in outdoor swimming pool. Excellent location a short drive from historic Old Sacramento. Convenient to restaurants including Elephant Bar, Chilies, Baja Fresh and Outback Steakhouse. Close to two movie theater complexes. Good hot breakfast. Nice facility and convenient rooms with hide-a-bed sofa.

Room available was smoking & totally uninhabitable, dangerous to one's health, took two hours to get unacceptable situation resolved, then we left at 2am!
