This hotel has very few bells and whistles. It does have satellite TV, and only wi-fi in the lounge area, but for the price you can get on Orbitz, it is hands-down the best deal in Glasgow. Being right next to Central Station makes it easy to get to and from anywhere. The staff are friendly. My bathroom faucet wasn't secured to the sink, and the sink drained slowly, but that wasn't a huge problem either. As long as you don't expect a harem to greet you and suckle your toes, it's a good stay. And for the location, friendly staff and especially the price, it'd be neigh impossible to beat.

For what we wanted this hotel was perfect - perfect location, nice clean room - a bit small - but we weren't there much, friendly staff, lovely breakfast, great price. Beside Central Station and around the corner from all the great shops. We really had a great stay and would stay there again. Fran, Ireland

Sometimes you get hidden gems, it my opinion this is not one, that said you get what you pay for and for under £40 what more can you really expect?!! I would not be that happy if I paid rack rate. You win some you loose some.

In a prime location in the heart of the city, yet it is very quiet inside the hotel room. The is however occasional shaking that can be felt as the train station is below. Free internet was a plus. The included hot breakfast was great. The staff were very friendly. Modern bathroom, comfortable bed. Hundreds of satellite TV stations. Very much enjoyed our stay there & especially since we payed half the hotel price by booking online.

Good location, poor hotelIn desperate need of a full refurb. Room could of been cleaner but wasnt disgusting. TV didnt work. Breakfast was average.

The internet picture of the hotel is nothing like the hotel itself. Parking is in public parking two blocks away. No elevator and reception is one flight from entry with narrow stairs. Staff was nice but new and appologetic when told the hotel was unlike the internet presentation, admitting that many before us had made the same comment. It seems the deception is intentional.

Not what i expected from the description of the "Hotel"It would actually be an insult to class this establishment as a "Hotel", a B&B would be more appropriate! I know on the website it states that as it is a Victorian building there is no lift available but what it fails to mention is that you have to climbe a spiral staircase from the street to the reception desk with luggage! They only do breakfast, no other meals so that you have to go and find sumwhere else to eat. The washhand basin was cracked and the bathroom door didn't close. The fan came on every time you switched on the bathroom light which made it very noisy. They need to update the facilities if they wish to attract more guests as it is in a very good location for exploring Glasgow.

central location , clean enough , ideal for a cheap place to stay after a night out in glasgow if all you want is somewhere to sleep , would have no hesitation in using again , does exactly what it says on the tin! be warned though it is £3 for a tin of tennants at the bar , i would recommend taking your own!

Very noisy all night - rooms at front are directly across from a city centre bus stop and fast food outlet - noisy until about 6am.

Basic hotel perfect for short stay, my room was very comfortable bathroom/toilet very small but very clean, fresh towels and room cleaned every day perfect hotel for city stay

entrance to hotel was dirty and therefore offputting. First sight was messy carpet at entrance. Things did not improve when we reached the top of the stairs and found the reception area untidy and the staff unwelcoming. There was a couple complaining that there was a pool of water in their room. This was met with relative uninterest from the staff who made excuses saying rain probably came in the window. The couple were trying to explain that the water was no where near the window but in the middle of the floor! The staff refused the invitation to inspect the room. First view of reception in the morning was two police officers questionning the receptionist as to her boyfriends details who had stayed in the hotel overnight.
