Transportation:

The drive from Cairns to Port Douglas is just under an hour's drive north via one of the most picturesque coastal roads that you are ever likely to see. To the right is the crystal blue of a very special part of the Coral Sea and to the left the green of the tropical rainforests. It is a place where you cannot help but to feel relaxed and have an urge to stop the car to take in the spectacular sceneries and be a part of nature. This is the only place on Earth where two World heritage listed jewels exist: the Great Barrier Reef and the rainforest of the Daintree and Cape Tribulation.

I recently returned to Port Douglas with my girlfriend for a second time. We were disappointed not to be able to stay in the same resort from our first stay but were looking forward to a new experience at the Rendezvous Reef Resort. We were immediately impressed by the service and happy welcome from the staff. The resort had all the facilities we needed and the staff were very helpful with booking tours and their advice on what to see whilst were there. I am happy to say that the next trip to Port Douglas will also be enjoyed from Rendezvous Reef Resort.

Recently my partner and I stayed at the Rendezvous Reef Resort in Port Douglas. We booked our holiday based on the location, facilities and price with the understanding that it was currently undergoing a refurbishment. Once we arrived at the resort we were overwhelmed with the service and friendly staff that greeted us, we were then checked into our villa which was superbly renovated, great in size and well equipped with all the modern facilities of a luxury resort. This made our holiday the most enjoyable we’ve had for sometime!

Beautiful lagoon pool. Dissapointed that the restaurant was being renovated and was closed. Lots of construction going on around the property. Huge rooms, great kitchen with all amenities. On the bus line, so no need to drive into town. Very friendly staff, helped book all our trips.

Some concerns a bout the amount of people who were clearly living permanently or semi permanently on the site however no problems encountered although old cars/motorbikes/furniture etc outside of apartments were abundant. Gave the site a tacky feel. Hotel facilities, though, are excellent.

Great walk to the Four MIle Beach--staff very friendly and helpful. Excursion buses stop here to pick up.

EXcellent value for money. The villa was very clean. The pool and restaurant/bar area all newly renovated and nice. Tennis courts and gym a little tired certainly useable enough for what we wanted. Gym even had a gym manager there. Exellent value for money.!! HIghly recommend it

Poor resort that needs urgent attention

The hotel is undergoing a refurbishment and is not completed yet, however we stayed in a completed 2 B/R Villa (9 days) and was excellent! nicely appointed and quiet, the kitchen has the basics, no oven though ( micro wave) The BBQ facilities could be improved, there is only one for the whole complex! Culinary not high standard, breakfast mediocre if you should use it, and even at times out of stock, the staff is helpful and friendly though.

The gym facilities were adequate and we visited several times. We noticed that the benches were in desperate need of replacing but apart from that we could find no faults.
