The check in staff were excellent and very accommodating. I arrived many hours prior to usual check in time and as I had given advanced notice, my room was ready. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. The room was a bit small but as I was on my own this time, didn't cause any problems. Check out was seamless and I would recommend this hotel to any one who enjoys the facilities of being close to everything in Melbourne.

What a rip off, totally overpriced,a tiny room with no view (brick wall), and dust everywhere. Very nice lobby but the rest is shocking.

Excellent location and room. Hotel staff were friendly and went out of their way to assist. Would definitely stay there again and have already recommended the hotel to friends and family. Good value for money given you are in the cbd.

Our room was double booked, we weren't treated well by several staff, the tea/coffee wasn't restocked adequately, couldn't fill the kettle without using a glass, bathroom dirty and we were charged for items from the mini bar that we didn't consume

Room was depressingly small and basic, Web page said they had cable/satelite TV, they didn't. Shower over bath was dangerous nearly slipped. Towels were threadbear and frayed with holes in them. Did not have ""Pillow Menu"" and pillows provided were not comfortable. Checked out after the first night and moved to the Novatel on Collins - Glad I did rooms were larger more comfortable had Flatscreen TV on wall plus foxtel, was able to order a rubber pillow and had two great nights sleep.

Would have preferred a queen size bed, double isn't really suitable, but they did offer us a free late checkout until 1.00, that was great.

I've stayed here often and found the price good considering the service is second to none, the location fantastic and the rooms nicely presented although small. I would recommend this hotel to all visiting Melbourne for short stays

Once you stepped into the lobby, you feel that there is a certain class and old world feel to it. The lobby leading to the lift is kind of old and dark. The lifts can be considered antique with the old gold push buttons. The rooms are pretty small but has a lovely view of the Flinders St Station. The worse is the bathroom, terribly small and cramp and we have to stand inside the bathtub for the shower. Apart from that, bed is pretty comfortable. Overall, the room is considered cosy apart from the bad toilet layout

Concierge service was very friendly and efficient, met about 4 different men and all were smiling and happy. Check in / out staff all seemed a bit preoccupied, not unfriendly but not that happy either. Great location easy walk to Art Center, Southbank and Casino.. Ray..

Very friendly foyer team from the valet to the desk crew. There was even a guy singing as he was carrying bags at 10am on a Sunday.

We were very impressed with everything. Excellent Formal dining in the evenings however Breakfast was a little inconvenient on busy days with the lack of utensils and staff.

We didn't check out the facilities so no comment. The room was clean and comfortable, although we could smell cigarette smoke outside our room every time we left or entered. The service desk was excellent with friendly staff. Great location and priced well.

Bathroom was very small with toilet sharing apace with the shower. The lighting controls were almost impossible to work and the dark furnishings made the room very gloomy. The restaurant food and service was of a high standard.

easy to walk to telstra dome and shopping areas. Friendly helpful staff. Rooms are quite small, but more than adequate.
