Date of Stay: May, 2009

The hotel was perfect for staying in downtown Brisbane. It was right across the street from the train station and in the lobby had the times for the next train back to the airport so you could estimate when you should WALK ACROSS THE STREET and hop on your train. You didn't have to lug your luggage and the hotel held our luggage while we took a two day trip to Cairns and then came back to Brisbane so we could just pack a smaller carry-on bag. It is right next to ANZAC Square which is a memorial park to veterans and one block from the Queen Street Mall and Adaleaide Street which is where all the bus stops are. It was only a 10-15 minute walk to the ferry. I am 52 so it took me more time to walk, 15-20 but i walk slow.

I loved this place from the moment we arrived until the time we left. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and the location is the best. Two minute walk to the shopping mall and Central train station directly across the street. If you are coming from the airport, take the airtrain to central station, so simple. I will certainly stay here again.

Ever so convenient coming by train from the airport. One bedroom suite was a tad small, but had eveything we required. Convenience was the main factor and this was great.

This hotel is perfectly located to everything in Brisbane. The room is lovely, large, and a wonderful place to relax after a full day of sightseeing and fun.

Nicely appointed hotel easy walk to main centre. Sml problem with our first room smelling of cigarette smoke moved to another room. Make sure you don't get an ajoining room next door sounds like they're in the room with you otherwise I recomend as nice place to stay

With all the recent negative comments about this hotel, we were concerned about what it would be like as we had booked it months ago. Either the hotel has attended positively to all the problems other people found or we were just lucky. The room was clean, air conditioning worked very well and front desk service was quite satisfactory. The valet parking at $25 per night was a bit expensive but this hotel in in the city right opposite Central Railway Station.

Some great ideas such as a reasonably priced breakfast pack and quick easy snacks for purchase that could be prepared in the microwave. Bed comfort was reasonable, only downside is that there was but only one towel per person and they were very tired.

The proxximity to the Central Station for access to and from the Airport is a real bonus with this hotel. The station is straight across the road from the hotel.

We thought the hotel was excellent - the service was good and the rooms were very comfortable and clean. The staff on reception were very helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel was well placed opposite the train station.

The hotel is very conveniently located opposite the train station which comes direct from the airport. It is only a short walk to the main shopping precinct. The staff are very friendly and accommodating which makes for a very pleasant stay. The hotel itself is well appointed and very charming and the rooms and bed are large. I would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to anyone.

The room was really small and it was very noisy - we think from the air conditioning units on the roof?? For one night it is fine but wouldnt want to stay much longer.

Superb heritage listed property right opposite Central Station. Beautifully furnished rooms...I was upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite so very comfortable. TV needs updating in lounge area and the toiletries need to be upgraded to a "name" brand of quality. Food in the intimate restaurant was mouth watering as was the room service breakfast. Staff so very helpful and pleasant. I will certainly make this hotel my first choice when visiting Brisbane.

Really super place - an old office building that has been done up to very good standard - without being over the top. Very comfortable accommodation - even a Nespresso machine, which was fun! Great position, right opposite Central Station, which is great for the Airport train. The staff were friendly and helpful. Strongly recommended.
