The staff were generally friendly. Our room was a small, but I guess that's what we paid for. The room cleaning was a little skimpy. The seemed to cut corners and they never left extra soaps or shampoos even after we used them for several days. My wife had to ask for a shower cap, and we were never given more than two towels in our room. Nice hotels usually charge for internet, but there's is $13 a night. There is free internet at the coffee shop in the lobby. They also don't have a pool or jacuzzi, but I should have checked for that before hand. The bed, bathroom, and tv were very nice. I was expecting a little better service and amenities for a 4 star. I was planning on spending more time at the hotel, but ended up only sleeping there.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved the location, and decor of the hotel. Very comfortable and clean rooms. Great lobby and coffee shop. Staff went above and beyond what was expected of them.

The hotel was in a great location sitting in between Foggy Bottom and Dupont Circle and only a few blocks each way to Metro stations. Everything in the hotel was new and clean. The concierge staff was always helpful to assist in directions or even finding us a wine bottle opener. The fitness center was well equipped with brand new work out equipment. Restaurants and bars were within a short walking distance, and the hotel bar was a great option to sit and relax and people watch. All in all, would definitely stay again. Thought it was a great value for a hotel in the city, especially at spring break time.

There is currently construction around the hotel, but there is construction happening throughout the entire DC area. When I first saw the outside, I was concerned. But the inside is clean, cool and very nice. The room had fresh character and the bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever stayed in at a hotel. It is about three blocks from the metro. Through a park/circle and down a couple blocks. It is about 5-6 blocks from Georgetown shopping. I am pleased with my visit and would recommend this hotel to someone who was considering it.

I loved this hotel!!!! Everyone who worked in the hotel was very nice and eager to please. The room service was excellent, I had asked the maid if she could come back a little later to clean and she was so nice about it. The food was great. I loved my room it seemed very sleek and hip with the flat screen tv, and very modern bathroom. There is construction across the street but absolutely no noise. It was just minutes from all the national monuments, and fine dining. I plan on taking a trip back to D.C. soon and I will be staying in the same hotel, it was GREAT!!!!!!!!

Recently remodeled and updated. Great location for visiting George Washington University campus. Short cab ride to National Mall and museums, Chinatown. Much nicer hotel than previous visits. The room we stayed in was small but chic. Only a double bed and very little walk around room for two. The bathroom had a very nice walk in shower. The mattress was fabulous. I wish I could buy one here. I wouldn't recommend the room as a double, only as a single.

Updated and cheerful. Good, clean hotel with big cheerful rooms in a good location.

The food in the lobby bar / restaurant was really pretty good. They have soups, salads, and smaller dishes that won't overstuff you. The layout was a little funky, but they do have several tables and a computer work table where you can eat and work, as I did. I had the crab cakes one night with salad, and they were pretty good. The next night I had the crab chowder and fries (huge carb sticks!) that were really good, especially if you try to avoid fries at home. The room was very nice, recently re-done, and it had a nice tv. The work are was very good too. It was pretty convenient to the metro, but I needed to take cabs due to the rain and my destination. They did not have umbrellas in the room which several other hotels I stayed at did have.

This hotel looks good, the service was great, as was the room. The problem was that we could clearly hear everything the people in the room next to us said. Interestingly, nothing was heard until around 3am EVERY night. It quickly became clear that the room was being used after club hours by various people for questionable purposes. Not really the impression of DC I wanted my daughter to have.

The bathroom was very nice. I did not like that there was not a refrigerator in the room. The reviews I read for this hotel stated that the rooms were very small. I beg to disagree. I believe the hotel room size was adequate for being in a Metro city. The room layout allowed for the maximum use of the space. The room decorations were simple but modern. The bathroom was very nice, but small. I have no complaints really.

the room was clean and modern .....if you wanted to be in a shoebox overlooking the inside of an office building(city view) the new renaissance was not so good and i truly felt ripped off by the tiny room and 35 per night parking fee. The bed was supposed to be a king but was a Full instead and we were told there was nothing that could be done because they were sold out .

The location is more in Foggy Bottom than Georgetown. The nearest Metro stop is about 4-5 blocks away in Dupont Circle. There are several eateries within 1-2 blocks.A great workout room with free bottled water and fresh fruit that is replenished daily.Construction of condos is right across the street, but it never disturbed my sleep. Unlike the guests in the room next to me who kept their TV on max all night. The front desk accomodated me with no problems. They changed my room and treated my party to breakfast in the hotel restaurant.Speaking of hotel restaurant, the food was wonderful and had great presentation. However, like most large hotels the food is overpriced.Overall, it was great experience. I would stay there again if I needed to be based in that part of the city.Note that this is not an ideal location for folks who want to walk a few blocks and be at the National Mall.

The room was compact, had a small table over the a/c unit and a shelf unit with a tv, safe, drawers. Very good use of space, but made it tough to do work at the table on my computer. Froze there! The restaurant there was fine and the location is great, near the universities, hospital and FoggyBottom metro.

Hotel and staff were amazing and very friendly willing to help us not only locate parking for us but very courteous to our whole family.

The lobby and location of the hotel are a definate plus but I was surprised by the room. The bathroom was modern and large, but maybe too large for the room. The area around the bed was very limited and there was no way that two people would be comfortable in that space. The other huge negative was that the HVAC units for the building were about 15 feet from my window. Nevermind the view, the noise was very disruptive and I wasn't able to get a single good night's sleep there. It looked like a lot of the rooms on the 3rd floor would have the same issue.

The best part of the hotel is that it has been recently rennovated, so all the rooms feel fresh and new. The beds are very comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and well stocked. The rooms have a modern feel, so there isn't a great deal of charm. And, that probably true of the hotel overall - it's a nice, modern, clean hotel, but not particularly unique or charming. The location is fairly central, but it's still a few block walk to get to any of the sites you would want to see. The street itself is rather busy. Overall, comfortable and clean, but nothing spectacular.
