The hotel was very noisy. My room was by the ice maker and all night long I was disturbed by the sound of the machine. Also, every morning, the cleaning staff talked loudly and slammed doors so I was always rudely awoken. Also, the movie station didn't work properly. Sometimes I couldn't even access it, and when I could, I had trouble selecting my movie and I had to call maintenance to get to watch it. And the picture quality on the movie channel was much worse than the normal tv, and of course it was very expensive.

Very comfortable, centrally located, excellent choice for Virginia suburbanites (like us) on a stay cation.

The walls must have been made out of paper because we heard everything the folks next door said all they way up to 3:00am. We even called the front desk to no avail. Other than that, the staff was friendly enough and it was first class. However, we will not stay there again.

Washington DC had record high temperatures during our stay. Thanks to the hotel we still had a great vacation. There was always a dispenser of ice cold water with lemon at the front desk when we would return after a very hot day of sight seeing. The rooms are awesome - quiet, spacious, clean, and comfortable. Hotel staff is very helpful. Family friendly restaurants and the Metro are a short walk from the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

This was a good location for our needs. We were in DC to make campus visits. The Renaissance Hotel offered good value. It's a nice upscale hotel. The rooms were pretty standard. Everything worked and it was clean. The hotel staff was pleasant and attentive. We had a late flight and my son ordered room service very close to the cut-off time. The food was hot and delicious. The hotel is also close to the metro system, which made getting around easy. Valet parking is expensive, but self parking is available at a reduced rate. The garage has in entrance directly into the hotel, which made me feel safe. There is a snack shop---sandwiches, cookies, cereal and fruit, drinks--off the lobby, as well as a Starbucks. This was convienent for grab and go. There is also on-site dining. We ate at the sports bar. The food was pretty good for the price. I would recommend this hotel, it's close to dining options and museums.

The Renaissance was one of the nicest hotels that we have stayed in in Washington DC because of it's central location, it's spacious lobby with great ambiance, it's convenient parking, very clean and spacious room and most of all extremely courteous staff, and their attention to detail in servicing the room. From the moment we entered the hotel we felt very comfortable. We will definitely be back

Location was great . By chance, we used the outdoor public parking lot across the street, no in/out privledges but slightly cheaper. . Breakfast buffet was delicious but service lacking. Internet service should be free. Overpriced in room movies."

The location was excellent, close to the metro and the bus stop right across the street. You can walk to the mall and monuments, although we found we were very tired by the end of the day. Many restaurants just around the corner in China town.Very comfortable beds and pillows. The swimming pool was cold and way too crowded. Most of our group opted out or this experience. They really need a better swimming facility with a hot tub!!

The hotel was very clean and nicely decorated, from the lobby to the hallways to the rooms. Rooms are big and beds are very comfortable. Great location with easy access to all metro lines. Very nice hotel for not a lot of $.

Conveniently located near the Metro. Hotel staff was very accomodating and professional. There are a few restaurants in the area but the hotel restaurants were terrific. I will go back to the Renaissance every time I visit DC.

The location to many sites to explore. The flowers/plants emanated too strong an odor making me nauseous. I really enjoyed the location of the hotel. It was walking distance to everything. I would not mind staying here again.

Beautiful and wonderful staff. Nothing. This hotel was perfect for our stay in D.C. The location was near several restaurants, and it was easy to find our way around the city from the hotel.

"Given a choice, I prefer Westin Hotels, but per chance I booked this hotel and now it is my favourite hotel in D.C. Beautiful rooms, extremely comfortable and beds at this hotel rival Westin's ""Heavely Bed"". The lobby is stunning and the Club Floor facilities on the 2nd floor are to die foor including private club floor lifts on the ground floor."

Location, bedding, service, and quality. No pool for children.
