Price does not match hotel condition. The room has strond odor, bathroom light switch and exhaust ventilation are filthy. If you accidentally touch the wall paper, you will have white powder on your hand. Most of the Staff are friendly, except the operator and the night shift front desk supervisor. Our accommodations far exceeded our expectatons. Our room was large and cheerful. Hotel staff was, without exception, helpful, courteous and cheerful. And the restaurant was exceptonal. We would happily stay at this hotel on any visit to Philadelphia.

The only problem was the non draining tub. The maintence crew fixed it which was cool and gave me comp breakfast. Now I am still trying to figure out how comp breakfast ended up costing me $10!! LOL The Hotel view did allow my family to watch fireworks in Philadelphia from the room! kids def digged that.

Staff was friendly, informative, and held guests to comply with rules. Staff was great and helpful. The pool was too warm for me (95) and the spa was scalding hot. Everything else was good except the pillows were too full.

This is listed as a 4-star hotel and it is far from that. Let me start by saying that hopefully you made meal plans in Philly, because there is nothing nearby the hotel except car repair shops. The hotel food is expensive ($30 for breakfast for 2 people), and the only vending machines there sell sodas, so bring your own snacks. Housekeeping is LAZY and LOUD. Doors being slammed heavily and constantly (forget that afternoon nap); our room service tray from breakfast sat outside our room in the public hallway from 8:00 a.m. until 6 p.m. that evening, so no promp collection of that and you get to stare at everyone's breakfast leftovers. Speaking of that, they never picked up our breakfast card (you check what you want for breakfast and hang it on your door to be collected before midnight) and we happened to be on a tight schedule, so we had to call down and they said they would "rush" it to us. Hallways looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in months. Our shower was never cleaned (still had hair in it!). The inside of the toilet bowl (right under the rim) was BLACK. The toilet kept clogging. Furniture was very old and beat-up looking. The bed was comfortable and looked clean but the carpeting and wallpaper didn't look too good. Outdated decor. You get what you pay for, so if you're looking for a deal and don't plan on staying too long, this is fine, but if you want good service and higher standards of cleanliness, spend a bit more and stay elsewhere. But like I said, this is definitely NOT and NOWHERE NEAR being a 4-star hotel.

The hotel was a little difficult to get to from the airport, but it was not far from it at all. The building was nicely furnished and the staff was friendly and helpful. My biggest dislike with this hotel was that the room service was extremely expensive and totally not worth the price. My husband and I don't mind spending on good food, but the menu lacked imagination and variety. When the food was delivered, the dishes were not garnished and were just too plain. We paid 14.00 for a small bowl of fruit and a tiny muffin, 12 for 2 eggs, potatoes and toast and the night before, 60.00 for chicken and pasta. On top of that, they said that they could not bill our room for the service so we had to pay them cash. We stayed for 5 days--ordered room service twice and learned from our mistakes. If you are going to stay here--plan to order take-out.

The staff member that waited on us was very friendly, he took very good care of us. We recieved free drinks, a discount on the restaurant, and an extended check out time. The room was very clean and stocked. The lobby looked very nice, I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We stayed at this hotel on the eve of our flight to Jamaica. From the moment we entered the front desk to the bus ride to the airport the next day, and back to the hotel the following week from the airport everything went very smoothly. I can be a bit of a picky person when it comes to cleanliness and this was by far the perfect fit. The front desk was the best I've seen ever for service. I know we are going to stay here again even if its not to catch a flight.

Location. They did not have a room for us, they were sold out. We arrived at 11pm and they told us that they were sold out and no rooms were available? They offered to transport us to their downtown facility. As we were headed out on an early flight the next morning this was unacceptable. After pleading with them they put us in a room that had a door falling off the hinge and could not be accessed via the key, they told us that we could lock the door but that once out we would not be able to return. We went to the bar in shifts no room reduction was given, but they did send us a half bottle of wine to compensate for the situation, which not enough compensation for not having a room reserved.

The room was extremely hot and stuffy and the cooling mechanism was found to be defective. The engineer that responded was friendly and competent, however he admitted that the hotel was well aware of the fact the many of the heating/cooling systems were not functional. The room cooled down slightly, but continued to be extremely uncomfortable. This room should not have been rented, given that the hotel was seemingly aware of the problem. No effort was made to change my room or to adjust the payment. This hotel was simply not worth the cost in any way.

They were able to attain my room 2 hours ahead of schedule without me even asking, and were very nice about it. Vending machines on my floor did not work. Had to try 3 different floors to find one that did. Rude hotel operator when asking about this problem. It was good, but maybe I just got lucky this time. Maybe I was just in right place at right time. Pick up service from the airport back to the hotel was horrible. Called several times, with phone ringing approximately 20 times each time I called before anyone would pick up. Took 20-25 minutes for shuttle to arrive at airport for me. Then, when it did, it passed my girlfriend, and me by. I had to recall the hotel which was another inconvenience, and more time wasted. The driver finally picked us up, but it was more that he knew who the other fellow was that he picked up. He dropped him off first when we got back to hotel, he also only socialized, and payed attention to this other passenger. He knew all about him, which suggests to me that it's who you know, when it comes time to dealing with transportation at the Renaissance hotel.

Hotel was nice but the bathroom in the room was not clean (it smelled like mould and the bathtub did not drain properly). Otherwise, the hotel is a great value for the price. Location is easy access to the city and back, but a map is needed for sure. If you get a room by the side of the pool, note that it gets noisy as early as 9 and as late as 11pm. If you need to sleep in, ask for a room that's not on the side of the pool."

The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was not informed about the amenities and how to use them. There was dirt in debris in the elevator. One gets the feeling that this hotel is not being very well cared for by its owners. The staff was not informed about how the gold members should use the lounge (the doors had been re-keyed and the staff didn't know about it). There was a lot of dust and dirt in the elevator. It just seemed like it was almost abandoned even though it was still open for business. However, the room was very nice and clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Even in the path of the airport we couldn't hear any planes taking off or landing. That was very nice.

Clean and comfortable beds and linens. Water leaks, noise level. For the price I got, this was a good deal for a decent hotel. However, I would never rate this at 4 star. I have stayed at much better hotels at lower stars than that. Used mainly by airline crew and families on vacations looking for cheaper places.
