The Renaissance Munich Hotel, Munich is a great location convenient to the U-Bahn and markets. The bed was outstanding but I found it difficult to get into and out of the ub/shower. It was a very high step for one who has had a hip and knee replacement. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. i would not, however, stay here at full price.

Nice size rooms for Munich, great value. Furnishings are a little dated, bed not the best, and no AC. If you stay here call or email ahead and request a non smoking room (if so desired), and request a courtyard side room, the driveway side rooms are loud. If staying in summer, keep in mind there is no AC here. Restaurant is expensive, however, there is a Mueller bakery in the pedestrian road side of hotel as well as a grocery store. Also, recommend you walk to restaurant Zum Brunnwart, excellent German food and beer garden within a few blocks. Some are put off by how far this hotel is from the city center. I have stayed here twice. I find it a nice escape from the busy city center.

We were offered a stay for breakfast get-away special here when searching for a place to stay in Munich that was a good value for the price. We hit the jackpot! We got our room with two beds and a garden view with a balcony for 69 Euros, including breakfast for two. The beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious. The bathroom is a bit older, but just fine. Their breakfast is a fantastic buffet of hot and cold foods and wonderful pastries. The staff treat you very, very well and try to meet your needs for anything you ask. We were offered bathrobes and slippers and a welcome treat was left in our room with a personal note. The hotel is true to its Marriott brand. The subway entrance is directly next door, so we took the train in from the airport to the subway and the hotel without a problem. We bought a day pass for the subway and commuter trains and traveled all over Munich from our hotel. I would definitely stay there again!!

We stayed here to complete our travels around Europe and had a wonderful experience. The room was very clean and very comfortable. It was a 10 min ride on the U-Bahn to get right downtown and there was a shuttle nearby that took us directly to the airport for 10.50 euro. The staff was very helpful, with lots of advice since neither of us had been to Munich before. We would definitely be staying here our next time in town!

Right next to the metro stop. There was no safe in the room and the overall look was outdated. This hotel was very nice, and very clean. Everything about the hotel though was dated, including the doorbell that was outside our room, which the maids used when they woke us up at 9:30 am after we had spent five hours on the train the night before. The bedding was really nice, though the shower was oddly set up which would be difficult to explain.

This hotel was fantastic. The only reason I did not score it as excellent is because our room was hot. I am not sure if there was no airconditioning or if it was broken during our stay. Aside from the heat, the room was extremely comfortable. After two weeks of traveling and staying at sub-par hotels, this hotel was a much welcome luxary. It is less than 5 minute walk to the metro station and travel into the city is really easy. I would definitely stay here again and the price was great compared to other hotels. The staff was very friendly except the maids came into our room several times to check various things which got a little annoying (but they were very nice about it).

Very helpful staff. I had a medical emergency and they were very helpful. Need internet access that is affordable. Much too high a fee.

Location. No air conditioning, staff at reception not helpful, hotel is old. The room had no air conditioning and when when we opened the windows it was so loud we could not sleep.

The location to the subway was great. We liked everything about the hotel. It met our expectations and more.

Very clean, helpful and friendly staff, and comfortable bed. No air conditioning, but there was a fan. I really liked this hotel. It was located very close to mass transportation, grocery store, pharmacy and a coffee house. It was quiet and a perfect spot for us to start our day. We just stopped at the coffee house for coffee and a pastry then walked a few steps to the U-Bahn train station. From there we could go anywhere in Munich we wanted. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful and our room was very clean and comfortable. Also the bed was very comfortable so we could always get a good nights rest before starting our next adventure.

The sauna, the Jacuzzi, the TV, the subway was very close. Expensive breakfast.

I liked the nearness to the subway stop. No AC. The room was very worn - lots of chipped porcelain in the bathroom, every desk and counter top was stained and swelled from water having been on it, and to top it off there was no AC in the room - no AC vents at all. I have stayed twice before and had nice rooms both times. The weather outside was in the 70's and the room was sweltering. I will not stay at this hotel again.

There was no AC. A hotel of 4 stars should have AC.

Wonderful location, friendly helpful staff, good restaurant, charming room, free parking place nearby. We had to change elevators to get to our floor. A swimming pool would make it even more enjoyable.

Nothing special to like. Internet is not free and 20 Eur per day. Located far from the center but just near the subway station which is 4 stops from Marianzplats. Quite place. 26 Eur per breakfast. Internet is 20 EUR a day.

There were only 5 per cent or so of all rooms that didn't have a balcony and they gave us one of those. We got a very spacious standard room on the 1st floor. As requested, they gave us a room with two single beds. The beds and the pillows were very comfortable. The TV was not a flat screen and we didn't have any coffeemaker in our room. They had an ice machine in every floor, which was very nice.

Clean, modern, and friendly staff. A bit too far from the city center. Except for the location, everything was good.

Great room, most comfortable bed and fantastic staff. I liked everything. Munich renaissance is a charming, comfortable hotel with a great staff and nice ambience. It is also close to most of Munich's most desirable attractions.

Close to subway stop, a grocery store and bakery, side street parking, Room safes were not available. The Renaissance Munich is a good hotel, located in a residential area about 10 minutes north of Munich with easy access to the highway and subway station. The hotel and restaurant staff was excellent and the rooms were well furnished.
