Nice location to do all kinds of family activities. However, I found the staff to be not so friendly and the fact that you are being charged $16.00 a day for parking. The parking fees should be waived if you are staying at the hotel. Also, the parking spots are very tiny and hard to get into. Everything else on the hotel was ok.

Friendliness. Nothing. Very pleasant, clean and accommodating.

My husband and I stayed for one night in December 2008. They gave us a corner room with balcony but neglected to tell us there was a pet room as well. We were greatful and excited because we could have fresh air. The room smelled like urine and smoke from the cigarette but when the sun rise, oh my gosh, there were white pet hair all over the floor. Looked like they did not vacuum at all. We had to tip toe even with our socks on. We told the staff at check out and he didn't even apologize. He just said, oh we are going to remodel the room anyway! He was a young guy, no public relation experience what so ever. Now we learn to ask for the room that has no pets.

Room was near-perfect, with picture window to ocean views, small balcony and luxurious bed. A small refrigerator would have completed our experience. Ask for an even-room number to face the ocean, 7th floor or higher.Concierge service was a challenge. When staffed, the concierge seemed to know little and was short on recommendations. Recommend arriving prepared with ideas for activities.Very few restaurants in the immediate area offer breakfast--recommend the hotel's breakfast, is good quality but expensive. Lunch/Dinner recommendations: nearby Rock Bottom Brewery and Sevilla.Overall, a great experience though expensive for the value. We'd stay again, but search for a better-priced arrangement.

Since we were on the 11th floor, we were entitled to complimentary breakfast and happy hour. The breakfast was great. It included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, variety of cereals, breads, tea, and coffee. The happy hour consisted of a light meal and non spirited drinks. Spirited drinks could be purchased, if desired. The fitness center was nice, as well. After your workout, you can grab a nice crunchy apple. Everything was clean and maintained. Also, the shuttle was right across the street (leaving) and on the same side (returning). The shuttle can take you to the major sites of Long Beach.

It was clean and in a great location.

The hotel is nice but in my opinion not a 4star. I was on the 9th floor facing the queen marry so the view was very nice. Every night I herd several police or fire sirens. After spending 150 per night I thought 12 dollars a day to park was a rip off!

I was there to get married. It was very nice.

Central location. The rooms and beds were smaller than I am used to. You have to be ready for bed when you get in. I thought the window seat was cute until I looked down to the pool area. The service and restaurant was good. The buffet was good, I found something I could eat. I really don't like buffets but I liked yours.

I had a laundrey ""emergency"" and the staff were very attentive and went above and beyond the call of duty to help me. The view was great and the central location to the convention center and aquarium, as well as a variety of restaurants was a plus

It was a beautiful hotel, with great views, great location, and a very comfortable bed!

Can't think of anything. Food, noise. Staff was very nice, having a Starbucks was handy, but the food we had was lousy (wait person didn't charge us for it) and the noise on Saturday night from 0200 to 0400 was awful! Doors slamming continuously.

I am glad we changed to be closer to the rest of our family and everything was as it should be. Mini maps of everything within walking distance would be nice too. Conceignor personally helped us plan some of our free time. Extremely helpful and did his job well.

Hotel room was a little on the shabby side. Not as I had hoped.

It was convenient to dining and convention center. Not well run. Only one valet, one concierge to sign in. Not as clean as could be. It's very good for overnight or short stay. Would not stay for extended period of time. Close to dining and convention center. Harbor just down the way. The view of the harbor we asked for was very obstructed and not the most attractive view at all.

My hotel stay at the Renaissance LB Hotel was fantastic. Hotel staff was courteous, helpful, and friendly. The pool was great and the gym was awesome. The only disappointment I had was the hot tub or whirlpool next to the pool. The hotel should add jets to give the pool a hot tub feel. Otherwise it's like sitting in a hot bath. By the way, room service was fantastic.

Comfortable beds, nice lobby with the fresh flowers everywhere and excellent food for breakfast. Pool shaded too quickly. Overall the hotel was beautiful with the contemporary design.
