The Hamburg Renaissance Hotel is well located for sightseeing, within walking distance of everything we wanted to do. The only things that bothered us were the charges for parking and internet use, which I feel could have been lower.

Very friendly personal. All rooms are connected via separation doors, no noise insulation, very loud. Get in any case a room and the end of the passages. Otherwise you'll have a separation door in your room to the next room. This is very annoying. You can hear every single word from the other side, including snore.

Nice & elegant interior. A/c not working. Liked everything except for the room temperature. The a/c was too weak which prevented a more comfortable sleep.

Perfect location. Rooms did not meet star classification. If you want a nice place to stay in the middle of a great shopping district, this is a good selection. My room, however, was really lacking. Seemed on the old side. Was definitely spacious, though. I hope other rooms are nicer.

Good location, quiet environment, very helpful staff. Air conditioning was a bit difficult to adjust. Very nice hotel with a good location near city Centrum and shops. Quiet area with a walking distance to most places. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The room was very comfortable, staff was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay at the Renaissance Hamburg. The service is excellent and the staff are first class. I ordered room service and because they took a longer than 45 minutes, the meal was complementary - nice touch. That was the only time service was slow. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was stocked with many extra useful toiletries for the forgetful traveler.

Large room. Sound of toilet flushing of neighbors. Great Location, expensive food. Expensive parking.

Very good location in the city of Hamburg. Breakfast is very expensive (24 Euro). Nice rooms, very good location, friendly staff!

Very interesting exterior architecture. Amenities cost extra: internet, parking, use of spa. Staff was overly friendly & wanted to be more than helpful whenever you were in their presence. Location wasn't perfect but was not bad; however, Hamburg has more than one city center. The architecture/history was interesting. It's a shame that at the price/star level of this hotel that every little thing comes at an additional cost & at rates higher than lesser hotels (which often offer the same things for free).

Location / Nearby Attractions. Check In was poor. Rooms spacious and clean. Bit noisy towards the street. A/C didn't work first night, too warm in the room, has been repaired next day.

In the middle of the town. Parking price to high. So far ok.

The location is ideal (it really doesn't get more central). The breakfast was expensive for what it was. The building is a magnificent historical building; the location is great, central to the city but easy to get to the airport as well. Several u-bahn stops nearby. They have a lot of construction going on and it was inconvenient, because you can't use the main hotel entrance. You have to go through a mall basically, and one night I got back late, the mall was closed, and I had to go through the parking lot. But it was a pretty small inconvenience and the mall is open pretty late so it only happened once.

Excellent hotel for a great price has convenient location! The hotel is actually under renovation (free earplugs for every guest). We got the excellent hotel for a great price. The rooms are big and the location right above the shopping center "Hanseviertel" is very convenient.

In the heart of great shopping areas. Sauna facility and main entrance under construction. Charged more than quoted price for extra night's stay. This was a modest hotel with a good location before they began renovations. Currently, with the ground floor unavailable, the entrance is difficult to find, difficult to navigate, and feels like a youth hostel. We were looking forward to a long sauna, only to find that the sauna facility was also being renovated. The breakfast was not included, and $19 is a bit much for a couple of toasts, coffee, and juice (since I don't eat eggs and bacon for breakfast!). We wanted to stay an extra night. This hotel is much overpriced considering its basic lack of everything.

Super staff, location and value. Still renovating while we were there but staff did everything possible to make up for it. Hotel was centrally located; we walked everywhere, many shops and restaurants near by. Rooms were generously sized and clean, and I can't say enough about the staff. They did everything possible to make our stay pleasant. They even helped us check in early since they had a room available, which was much appreciated. They knew this was a special trip for us and the front desk manager had some cherry strudel and a personal note sent up to our room. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Location. Room cleaning after 4 p.m. Reconstruction began Sunday morning, lobby was cleared from all furniture, no more parlor room. Entrance via parking lot. Room cleaning sloppy, several calls needed and after 4 p.m. only.

Clean, comfortable, spacious and in centre of shopping and attractions. Steps in lobby difficult to navigate with luggage. Great hotel. Great location right downtown close to everything. Comfortable rooms and beds. Superior, helpful staff. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

Great location, and attentive staff. It was acceptable but I have experienced better Renaissance staff (e.g. Koln). Excellent property in a historic building in the middle of downtown. Good facilities and attentive staff.

We loved the staff, the room, the location - everything. A wonderful experience. We liked everything. The location could not be better, 2 minutes to Jungfernstieg and Binnenalster and public transportation. It's In the middle of a huge shopping district, the room was spotless und tastefully decorated, and the staff was extraordinary friendly. A wonderful experience of which we enjoyed every single minute. Highly recommended!

Very central, very clean, very comfortable. Expensive parking. We have stayed at the Renaissance Hamburg previously and always enjoy the wonderful central location, the lovely rooms and the friendly staff and the fantastic beds. You can walk everywhere in the center of the city and feel perfectly safe in the area. We look forward to our next stay.
