The location was great. We easily walked to all the shops and restaurants downtown. Also to Battery Park for the Friday night drumming circle - a real highlight.

Beautiful decorated rooms! Great downtown location. Very few menu items. Very beautiful property. Restaurant was very nice although limited dinner selections Rooms are recently updated and are very comfortable.

I love to travel, and this was my second time staying in Asheville, frist time at this hotel. I have to say that this is the best hotel I have ever stayed at. I will never anywhere else when traveling to Asheville!

On check-in day priority had been given to a late staying convention. Although I had been assured of a 12 noon check-in by phone when arriving at the hotel we were informed that our room would be available sometime but not later than 4PM. Our room was available shortly after 2PM. The room was clean and comfortable. I normally expect to at least have a room safe, two comfortable chairs and an optional room valet (snacks, drinks, etc in refrigerated space). None was provided. I would stay again but only because of the extremely limited options in downtown Ashville. If downtown location is not necessary there are many other very nice hotels in the Ashville area which are more value for the dollar.

Hotel was conveniently located in downtown Asheville. Room was very nicely decorated and cleanly.

"If you suffer from mold or mildew allergies, DO NOT STAY HERE! Rooms are nicely appointed, but are ridden with mold. My whole family was sick within a few hours and cut our stay short after one night."

Location. They didn't have an outdoor pool. Great location and rooms were very nice, exceptionally clean and very comfortable beds.

"We have stayed at the hotel several times as there are not a lot of options in the downtown Asheville area. Easy walk to everything. Service is pretty good, but there were hairs scattered all of the bathroom - in the soap dish, on the floor, and on the shower walls. Also, have to pay for internet and the room service food is very mediocre."

I am picky about beds and found this to be excellent.

"Rooms were clean and ""cozy"" (small but comfortable). Hotel is within walking distance to anything in downtown Asheville. The hotel charges for internet access, a very strange sight these days. Front desk staff were extremely professional and courteous. "

Location, decor, and service. Hotel restaurant is too expensive. Very nice, safe, and clean.

Everything from the moment we arrived until we checked out. Excellent in every aspect.

It was located very close to excellent restaurants and night life, walking distance. The room was very narrow, difficult to get around a person using the desk. Beautiful view of the mountains from the eighth floor, many extras, modern appliances, flat screen TV, quiet even though our room was next to the elevators, efficient, friendly and helpful staff.

The location was amazing. Although friendly at the desk, the directions they gave were often wrong.

Great location adjacent to historic district within walking distance to many restaurants. The rooms were great and recently redone but on the smallish side. The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. The rooms appear to have been renovated recently and there is a nice flat screen TV. The hotel has rooms on the small but very adequate size. The bathroom is tiny with barely enough room to turn around. But we did not go to Asheville to spend time in the room so it was just perfect for the two of us.

Great location for downtown everything is within walking distance. Hotel is well kept and friendly helpful staff. Bathroom is little small. Great hotel for the money and location.

Updated rooms, very clean, nice amenities. Local bar had loud music until late at night. The hotel was nice, clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful. Even though we weren't there long enough to use them, the pool and fitness center looked very good.

Downtown location and always top notch.
