The room was all I could ask for and featured a very comfortable bed. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and answer questions, especially one guy whose name I unfortunately did not get. Some here have suggested there is nothing to do in the area but I found several restaurants and vibrant nightlife within an easy walk of the hotel on Washington, and with the Metrolink station also just down the street you can easily visit more distant attractions such as Forest Park. My only complaint was that the wireless fee was, in my opinion, excessive and the "business center" was actually a UPS Store on the first floor of the building, so this hotel might be a better choice for those traveling for pleasure rather than business.

The bellhopwas funny and helpful and remembered us when we turned a week later. Concierge was not that friendly. Great beds! I slept so good here. I have a tempurpedic bed at home and this was even better). I loved the shampoos, the soaps everything was just great. I could here the neighbors when I was in the bathroom but other than that everything was wonderful.

My visit to St Louis was very disheartening because of the death of my father but the front desk personnel were very nice and said they would do everything possible to make my stay a comforting one. I have never been treated so well by strangers.

I stayed at this property in conjunction with a trade show I was attending. The hotel was beautiful -- a historic buidling with brand new rooms and interior common areas. The rooms were simply, but very comfortable and clean. The location was great (walking distance to Busch Field...got to see a Cardinals game). I would definitely stay here again. If there were any negatives, it was slow service in the casual restaurant (food was great, setting was very nice).

The hotel is in a great location in downtown St. Louis. Many local attractions (including the Gateway Arch) were in walking distance which was really nice. The hotel itself is beautiful and they have an excellant night lounge for socializing. The breakfast buffet at the hotel was good but I don't think that it was worth the price, so I recommend trying some of the local downtown bistros for breakfast. Overall, I think that this hotel was well worth the stay and I would definately stay there again!

The bed was really comfortable and I loved the bathroom. There was nothing I didn't like. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The room was smaller than expected but very nice. The bed was very comfortable. The building is beautiful and the hotel looks brand new inside. The elevators are very fast and smooth.

Small rooms, and they charge you extra for absolutely everything. It's a serious problem when a 4 star hotel charges $14 a day for parking and $15 a day for internet (which isn't wireless, by the way). I didn't see the concierge for the first 2 days of my stay, and when I asked for flowers to be set up in my room they told me they "didn't do that sort of thing" but they were nice enough to give me the name of a local florist so that I could do it myself!! I was super stoked about them letting me take care of that sort of thing on my own, it was nice of them. Fantastic location, and the maid staff is incredible.

There was a huge convention in town and the front desk had only 1 or 2 people working during check in and check out (with 6 to 8 stations available for desk clerks). The waiting was ridiculous! The room was very small for the price but it was very clean.

Easy trip to the Arch--friendly staff pointed things out to me--helped me find my way--very impressive people at desk, conscierge, bellman--felt like home.

Expensive parking, insistence of staff in helping with bags and parking far away.

The people were all very friendly and helpful, and the hotel is lovely. The beds are super comfy. And A American Place (restaurant) links thru the lobby.

The outside view of this hotel is beautiful, however upon entering my room it was stuffy and as I pulled the bed covers back there where candy wrappers still in the bed. At this point I felt the sheets had not been changed. The towels where old and hard and the sheets even after they had been changed by room service where wrinkled and hard. Parking attendants had no idea if there was a fee to park at the hotel, so I was charged but later given a gate key. I should have been given a gate key when I checked in. There was also a ball room event going on which left parking very limited. At one poiint I had to wait for a parking spot. I will not be visiting this hotel again, It was a huge disappointment!!

Very beautiful hotel. Location near metro saved a ton on transport from the airport. Walkable to Busch Stadium. No real shopping anywhere near this area of downtown (except food). Sure could have used a fridge in the room. Great to have Hertz counter inside hotel. Gift shop prices were ridiculous for water and any other item.

The hotel location was good. I was not impressed with the room. It was not a 4 star plus room. The staff was great, but the rooms were kind of small and no better than a Holiday Inn.

I was dissapointed by the King Jr Suite at the Renaissance St Louis. It was more like a standard room with french doors between the very small bedroom and the very small very sparcely decorated living room space. I am extremely picky about hotels and have high expectation. The furniture was grimmly, room not made up until 4 PM each day and no services - not even a cup of coffe available without buying it. Beware at the valet - it will take at least 15 minutes to have your call pulled around. If you are in a hurry call ahead.

Loved the view and the location. Hot tub on the top floor was neat. Great restaurants in the area. Breakfast buffet expensive but very good. Room was spacious and nice, though my only complaint would be the carpet. It needed to be deep cleaned. Our socks would get dirty every time we walked on it.

Was there to attend a convention, great location for that. But when we checked in although our room was very clean there were only enough towls, wash cloths etc for one person and no soap, shampoo etc. And of course when you check in late you don't notice until the next morning when you need them.

Few restaurants or shopping were nearby.

The hotel is a very good bargain. Our suite was spacious, well-furnished and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. It's downtown, so there's a bit of street noise. Overall, a good bargain.

The staff was great and the hotel was spotless.
