The Renaissance Esmeralda Resort had excellent service. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and made us feel very comfortable. When we arrived mid week, the hotel was very busy and that's why we thought we were treated so well. As the weekend came, we continued to receive the same great service. It would be nice to have a couple of more stores and another dining choice. We would definately stay there again.

Spacious rooms and sandy pool deck. 25 dollar resort charge for parking and internet.

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The service is impeccable and they are so accommodating to families with children. The pool area is nicely laid-out and the beach area for children is large. Pool-side service is plentiful and staff goes above and beyond in every way to accommodate guests. Kids eat free in restaurant as well as in-room dining and food and drinks at pool are very good quality. Numerous activities for children. Nice hotel for the value. Would absolutely stay again.

FROM THE TIME YOU PULL UP TO THE LAVISHLY LANDSCAPED FRONT ENTRY YOU HAVE ALREADY STARTED TO RELAX. THE GIANT COPPER ROOF LINE TO THE 3 LARGE FOUNTAINS, AND THIS WAS JUST THE PARKING AREA was extremely impressive. The entry of the loby was gorgeous. We highly recommend your resort. The pool area with beach sand and water falls were absolutely amazing! Family fun for everyone!!!

The room was nice. I did not like the resort fee and the self parking was not close.

It was so nice to pull up on the front drive and be greeted quickly and assisted with my bags. My husband and I just drove in from San Diego with our 3 month old and needed to move quickly! When we approached the front desk we were given a cool refreshing beverage. Again,,,just what we needed. We were checked in and on our way to the room. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had requested a crib and refrigerator. It was already in the room along with extra towels and a baby necessity kit! I plan meetings so I took a walk around the property to see the meeting space. It was newly renovated and every time I encounter an associate I was greeted kindly. We had dinner with some friends and their kids in the Cava restaurant. The food, service and value incredible! Kids eat free! My friends were pleasantly surprise. We ended the evening socializing in the lobby. This has been newly renovated. It was comfortable and relaxing to have the kids, an adult beverage and listen to the great music that was playing the Stir Lounge. We didn?t go inside but it looked like lots of fun. There were people dancing, many different areas for people to relax and they don?t charge a cover! The next day we had breakfast in the Cava restaurant. What a delicious array of food on the buffet! I then had a quick work out in the fitness center before my massage in Spa Esmeralda. This spa was amazing! The spa is intimate and so relaxing. Our resort stay was definitely a memorable experience. We can?t wait for our next visit! I recommend for business, pleasure, romantic and family getaways!

The hotel was just too big for a weekend stay in the desert. The front desk was friendly, but the air conditioner in the room was broken. The staff acted like it happened all the time and it was just too bad. The layout of the lobby was nice, with a bar and restaurant in a convenient location. But, a friend came to visit and the valet was not only expensive, but took 20 minutes. Would recommend you try another location -- I will next time.

Enjoyed the pool, excellent food/drink service at pool and very friendly staff.

Checked into room and carpet was soaking wet and smelled musty, like the maid have spilled a bucket of water. We were moved to the only other room available which was handicapped. The hotel didn't seem very crowded to have all 560 rooms occupied! Staff were excellent. Bikes could have been a little nicer for $*/day resort fee. Pool was fabulous. I think it was a nice touch to provide swim diapers for the little ones. I have never seen another hotel do this.

Everything! It was beyond our expectations! Peaceful, beautiful surroundings! Huge property but easy to find your way around. We later went to the Westin Mission Hills for a conference and were so disappointed! We wanted to be backat the Esmeralda!

I just returned from a four-day trip to visit my mom. I brought my 10 and 12 yiear-olds with me and we had a great time. The pool is fantastic and the whole facility was really nice. We went when the daytime temperature AVERAGED 109 degrees, so the only places to hang out were the pool and the air conditioned building. The pool water was quite warm, but the hotel did a good job of providing lots of cold water for guests....this must be a regional thing, but many restaurants have cold mist coming down from the ceiling or roof to cool people off! It was funny to sit at the pool bar in boliing heat and have cold mist falling on my back! With the exception of a less-than-chilly AC in my room and steep prices on food, this was a wonderful hotel. (At night, the hotel featured "Dive-in Movies" right by the pool. Guests could hang out in the water and watch a kid-friendly movie...very clever idea and a great way to end the day.

Check in was very easy and the staff was great and very helpful. I would like to stay there when I have a week just to sit by the pool and relax and look around it was a great relaxing place to stay.

"The pool is big with a beach on one side. My one MAJOR complaint is it is just too crowded. I had to set the alarm for 7 am just to get a lounge chair. There were easily 200 people in the pool including lots of babies in diapers. Someone threw up in the pool and one side had to be closed. I was really grossed out by how dirty the pool got by the end of the day. If you are looking for somewhere to just relax, this is not the place. If you want a nicely decorated room with great sheets and crowds don't bother you, stay here. Drinks at the pool were expensive so bring your credit card."

"The hotel and pool are very nice but on Memorial Day Weekend unless you get there at 8:00am there is not a chair or lounger to be found and there was probably 300 people in the pool. Also, there really is no kid's club. It is only open on the weekends and then only from 9:00am to noon. I'm not sure who would ever take advantage of that."

I like the overall atmosphere, very relaxing and fun. The hotel was nice, clean and the rooms were nice sized. I went with two small children and they have lots of activities for them. The golf course was really pretty and the room had a balcony over looking the gold course and the water.

"This hotel is truly first class. The rooms were very large, clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable!! Great location...close to shopping and many restaurants. I have told all of my friends and family what a wonderful place this is to stay. We will return!!!"

The resort was very nice and staff was helpful. Rooms were less than average decor. Food left in halls too many hours.(3-6) The hotel was nice except as noted above. Enjoyed the stay.

Last day of trip we intended to relax by the pool all day which is main attraction of resort. We arrived at pool at 10 a.m. and were greeted by 10-15 maintenance men with jackhammers and other machinery to renovate the pool. The front desk had no clue that this was going on and when we stated our frustration during check out and that we had stayed an extra night to relax by the pool they offered no explanation or reparations only that they hope we come back. Well we won't...

A great value for the size of the rooms and location to the Coachella Music Festival. Vehicle was illegally moved and parking structure was too far from hotel entrances.
