This was a great hotel with staff willing to meet your every need. The weekend price was amazing for what you get!

The hotel was offered at a great price and it made for a good home base while we explored the areas around the Royal Palace. We had a huge bucket of steamed mussels downtown for only $15 euros, plus Belgian waffles, beer and chocolate. Awesome! The location was near the train station and a bus stop that takes you to the airport for only 3 euros. The hotel staff was coordial. Hotel services were very expensive, however. Internet access was $15 euros for one hour! Breakfast was $18 euros. Rooms were nice, clean and quiet. Beds were comfortable, but when the reservation says king or queen, you get the queen and its misrepresentation to suggest otherwise because it costs more for the king bed. I would recommend this hotel to any traveler, whether traveling for business or pleasure.

The pool. Incompetent staff. The hotel Itself is a Nice hotel being in Belgium. We have visited Many hotels around Belgium, and I would prefer the American style ones then the European ones as they tend to be cleaner, more modern, etc. The staff however was very incompetent and I had to ask about 10 different times for them to do the same thing over because they kept getting my bill wrong.

Rooms for the smokers should be provided in the hotel

Was here in August 2008 for three nights with family of four - had to take two rooms for about ***a night each (2 to a room). This is an off-season price I believe. King bed we slept in was SUPER comfortable with LOADS of pillows - one of the best beds I've ever slept in. And the room was supremely quiet. Hotel very close to a good grocery store and patisserie, so we ate cheese and baguettes, pains chocolats, fresh fruit, juice, milk, etc. right in the hotel room for breakfasts, thereby saving a considerable amount of money each day as restaurant eating in Europe is about double what you would pay in Canada. Great location. Steps from the European Union Parliament buildings and parts of upper town walkable. Metro a bit of a hike, but not too bad. Luxembourg Square right around the corner seems to have an endless supply of buses, though. Pool and workout facilities good, although when we were there it was crawling with screaming unsupervised kids, and the steam room was out. Pleasant lobby (this is a business hotel) with free coffee in the morning (but get it early, because it disappears fast). Don't waste 5E on the 15 minutes of internet time you get - just up the street in a slightly poorer part of town you get internet for 1E an hour. Staff speak English no problem and are helpful. In room safe was locked and they couldn't figure out how to open it, so we used the kids'. But still, they should have fixed it. The dining room on site is expensive, but nice looking. Overall, a very pleasant business class hotel which is great to come back to after an exhausting, full day of sight-seeing, walking around, etc.

Outstanding facilities with great lounge. We arrived at the hotel at 9AM after travelling for 24 hours, stopped to drop off our luggage and ask about a possible early check in that afternoon. They had our room ready (at 9AM!) and waiting and allowed us to check in on the spot. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the concierge booked us on several enjoyable trips. There is a local neighborhood nearby, as well as a business atmosphere, so we saw the best of both worlds.

We returned to Brussels for the last night of a seven day trip. We returned from Paris on a Tuesday afternoon. We were tired, hungry, and really wanted a room with a bath. The Renaissance Brussels Hotel was just the order. The lobby was beautiful, the front desk was helpful and offered us dark Belgium chocolate and coffee. And our room? It was fantastic -- roomy with a plush bed and crisp linens, a pant-press and a fabulous bath with deep soaking tub. We walked nearby for dinner at a very inventive restaurant called Staff. It was amazing and creative food. The Renaissance Brussels Hotel was without a doubt our best night's sleep on our trip. I wish we could have stayed longer. Next time...

It was a very nice standard Marriott the same quality and size you would find in the USA. The location was very close to the EU. However for a tourist the location was very poor. Standard American hotel with big rooms and bland decor. However for a tourist this hotel is to far away from the old section of town.

The ladies in the front desk should be trained better to deal with foreign travelers. They weren't very courteous.

Very clean American-style hotel. Close to Brussels-Luxembourg train station. Everything from food to Internet was extra and very expensive. The hotel was very nice inside and clean. The location, however, is not great for tourists about a 20-25 minutes walk from the Grand Place, which is a lot after you have been walking all day. When my fiancée and I arrived at the hotel, they only had twins left. We inquired the next day, but there were still no doubles available unless we wanted to pay extra for a club room. We were there for 4 days total but never got a double room. The other downside was that all the extras were extremely expensive for Internet an hour, even a cappuccino at the bar!

The hotel is conveniently located near metro. The included breakfast buffet was very good. Too bad you had to pay extra for internet.

Staff helped with luggage and very friendly. Exorbitantly expensive internet access-- free wireless should be standard.

This hotel is very comfortable, typical for a high level Marriott hotel. A small annoyance of parking fee (EUR20) per night could be easily avoided by free parking on nearby streets (from 6pm to 9am).

Efficient, friendly and flexible service. Pool is a little short for a serious swimmer - but then almost all hotels are the same! I arrived early (09:00) and yet they sorted me out with a room immediately. My gold membership gave me an upgrade to have access to the club level which provided a very good breakfast and early evening drinks/snacks. It is very convenient to the heart of the city, 2 minutes walk from the Parliament.

Very nice rooms, clean, attentive staff. Price of parking. My only complaint is the price of parking. Other than that it was an ideal hotel.
