| | Regina is located pretty close to central areas, is clean and has a magnificent view of the sea, so ask for rooms with view. I staied in a small room without sea view. The breakfast is served at a restaurant at the last floor, having a nice terrace to enjoy the view and the volcano. The staff was nice and the room clean. |

| | The hotel is quite close to the train station, 15 mins walk. If you don't have a lot of luggage there is no need to call a taxi. Bad: Our room didn't have a fridge (mini bar). Guests allowed using laundry only if they stay at least 3 nights. First morning we asked about the beaches near by. The receptionist sent us to a private very expensive (minimum 9+3.60 euro per person) beach and advised to use an elevator to get down to the beach. After we looked around we found a way to get there for free also there was a free beach closed by. Overall it was an OK hotel. Good The view from the room and breakfast area was breathtaking. I would stay in this hotel again just to enjoy it. |

| | This is a wonderful hotel with lots of charm and a very welcoming, helpful staff. A delightful place to stay in a great location with fabulous views. The property looks better in person than it does in photos. Two flaws: Venere web site erroneously says "ALL rooms have balconies and panoramic views"-- single rooms have neither. You must purchase a double room and request the sea view. The other flaw is noise: the restaurant is on the 4th floor and the tile floor amplified all sounds. My room was on the 3rd floor-- restaurant staff preparation was very noisy beginning at 5:30-6:00 am! I had a fabulous view though! It was still worth the noise to have a nice hotel experience. (Get used to the narrow showers in Italy-- they are everywhere)! |

| | Please disregard the earlier email we sent you about Regina as we were confused about another venere hotel where we stayed. My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Regina very much. It is very well located in respect to the major shopping areas. Both our room and the dining area had a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean sea and the Bay of Naples. The food was excellent and well served. We were appreciative of being allowed to leave our luggage at the hotel whilst visiting the Isle of Capri. An improvement could be to have terry towelling towels instead of cotton ones. Whilst the hotel is excellently located for shopping and our room had a beautiful view, one disadvantage of this room was that it was also close to the road leading to the hotel. This road can get a bit noisy at times and it is also very narrow in parts and pedestrians need to be very careful of the traffic. |

| | My room was tiny with a old worn out mattress and no view. The AC did not work for the first day, but was fixed by the second day. Other rooms seemed much better (my room should have been less than half the price of the other rooms). The staff was friendly and helpful and the view from the dining room was good, and the dinner up there was expensive but enjoyable. All in all I expected a much nicer room for the price. |

| | We were not content! On the Web-site freee parking (not garage) was offered, but we had to pay 12 EURO/day. The indication on the web-site was said to be an error. In the bath the water was only dripping; i. e. completely unsufficient for taking a shower. To fill the bath tub took more than 30 minutes. The excuse was, that we were in the third floor, where the water pressure is low. Between bath tub and wall was moud. The doors to the rooms don't close exactly; every noise from outside - some times very early in the morning - is disturbing. The prices are exaggerated compared with other hotels in Sorrento. |

| | This is a perfectly decent hotel but I was disappointed in the quality of the rooms given the price. We paid much less in Rome and Naples for romms that were much more spacious, carpeted, came with a better breakfast buffet, etc. This room was fine but small, quite sparse, and had a tiny balcony overlooking the street & water view. The street noise was bothersome enough at night, even though it was only cars & scooters, to keep us from leaving the balcony doors open to enjoy the breeze. The breakfast was unremarkable -- smaller selection than at other hotels on our stay, with just the basic breads, salami, cheese & cereal. Staff were courteous and competent. Fourth floor restaurant has spectacular view of the water -- beautiful setting for breakfast. |

| | Generally speaking, a decent place to stay, but sparse. We originally booked a room with no view, but wound up getting a view, which was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, though, they're a little frugal on heat. DON'T GO THERE IN WINTER. They turn the heat on at 8:30 in the evening, and off again at 8:30 in the morning. Each room has it's own thermostat, but don't count on it warming up to what you want it to. We mentioned our problem with the heating to the staff and they did have someone look at our thermostat that day. The next night was warmer, but not a whole lot. They gave us extra pillows and blankets, too. There was a bit of an ant problem, as well. Not major, but noticable. In terms of facilites and services offered, we did not know of half of them listed on this website. They may well have had them, but nothing was posted at the hotel. Also, if you're driving there, be careful. The street leading up to the hotel is extremely narrow and getting your rented car scraped is highly possible. Then, you'll have to maneuver your way into the parking garage, with staff directing you. Good points are that the staff is pleasant, the views great and breakfast is plentiful. No bacon and eggs, but croissants, rolls, cereal, percolated coffee, juices and toast are all offered. |

| | The hotel was exactly what we were looking for, it was in a quiet location but just two minutes away from the heart of Sorrento and convenient for the ferry terminal. The staff were helpful and friendly and the whole hotel was clean and well cared for. The views of Vesuvius and the bay were expansive from the roof, although a little more attention to a better provision of furniture and planting on the roof terace would be a benefit. It might not be suited to a hotel based family holiday but for people wanting to explore Sorrento and the coast it is an excellent choice. We will definitely stay there again. |
