Good but could be betterOur room was large, comfortable and above all : very clean. The only negative point : the noise on the street does not give you any opportunity to sleep leaving the window open and in july, it can be very hot in München. So I would recommend a standard air-conditioning system in such a hotel. Besides, our stay was very pleasant and the staff very friendly and welcoming.

Great location (near main train station) but rooms were badly outdated and worn out. Furniture and carpet stained/torn. Somewhat noisy near train station, but expected. Clock radio must have been from the 1960's. Breakfast looked good, but had to leave before it was served to make flight.

The rooms are extremely basic, this is definitely no where near 4 stars... the heating seemed to be stuck on very hot and a small bottle of after shave went missing from my room.. All in all, not a great experience!

Rooms were average for the price paid, the twin room was very small for 2 teenagers. Both rooms had broken shower heads. Furnishings needed reupholstering quite badly. The buffet breakfast and service at the breakfast were very good.

After a short time in room we realized we were in a smoking floor. We were never offered a choice upon checking in. After speaking to the front desk, we were told to check back for any cancellations by 5:00 pm. After checking back, the Reception Desk Supervisor said that because the housekeeper had left for the day, we could not move to another room as they would not be able to rent out our "already used" room. The heater did not work and we were told that the technician would have to work on it on Monday as he was off during the weekend. We were only there from Friday until Monday in that cold room. The supervisor was quite indignant and spoke as if it was our fault that we got on a smoking floor for not asking for it in advance. Everywhere else where we've stayed, we were ALWAYS asked if we prefered a smoking or non-smoking room. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. There was no way to reserve a non-smoking room thru online travel website at the time the reservation was made and paid for, in advance.

Stag weekendI pitched up at this hotel with 13 other friends for a stag weekend. Whereas some hotels would have put the closed sign in the window and run for the nearest exit, I found the staff very welcoming. Not only the receptionist but also the general staff and those serving at the bar. There was a slight mix up with one of the rooms, this however was resolved in record time with no fuss or flourish. The bar staff were friendly and helpful providing 14 British tourists with plenty of beer and snacks to keep our whistles more than wetted!!The rooms may appear a little small, but they are comfortable and clean, really what more can you ask for??Anyway to close, I was seriously chuffed with the service and the hotel in general...Nicely done folks.

This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. More like an average 3 star. May have been considered 4 star in the 70's or early 80's. Therefore extremely overpriced at 220 euros per night I had to pay. Parts of the rooms are a bit run down. Bathroom door was rotting. I do not no whats this wifi internet for 20 euros !!! per night, most places in Europe have wifi for free (esp. if 4 star). Service and breakfast was good though. Breakfast was very good.

I've never actually walked out on a hotel before, and I did on this one. I was sent up to my room, and I was a bit nervous as the elevator was very dirty. But, when I got to my room, I was totally shocked. There was what looked like dried vomit all over the bedding; the wallpaper had come off the wall in the whole entrance area and black mold was growing up the wall; the towels in the towels in the bathroom and the sheets on the bed were a yellowed-color with stains on them. The chair had a silk covering which was totally shreded. It was just beyond horrendous. When I went downstairs with my bag in tow, the front desk woman came up and said they weren't supposed to rent that room. She offered apologies, but then showed me to a room that while much improved, was still pretty filthy. I just left the hotel and found another place to stay. Definitely give this hotel a miss. It's gross.

Regent HotelWell situated hotel and quiet and clean. However, reception very unhelpful when we asked directions to a tennis tournament they sent us to a incorrect location on the other side of the hotel. When we told them about their error we had no apology.

i liked this hotel - staff were helpful, room was a delight. Not much to do around the hotel but overall i waould highly recommend it.

Excellent older hotel one block from the main railroad station in Munich. The breakfast was superior and inlcuded healthy cereals, yogurts, eggs as well as fruit and muffins, etc. The hotel is a good buy, especially close to the main boulevards and tourist sites all within walking distance.

When we arrived, the bathroom was poorly cleaned. We found a poo poo in the toilet and it wasn´t flushing at all. WE checked in late so the very kind person in the front desk personally went to our room to throw a bucket of water in there. WE could not use the toilet pretty much for the rest of the night. They gave us complimentary drinks and we did not have to pay for the garage ($13 euro) no discount was authorized though which I think is pretty unfair because of getting a room not at 100%. The personnel is very friendly and hepful but the cleaning employees don´t do their jobs properly. Great location.

Overall good expirence. Beds and pillows were not the best, but okay. Inclusive breakfast buffet was very good. I would recommend. 7.5 out of 10.

Like many other reviewers have noted, this hotel does require some refurbishments - the rooms look quite old and stained. We thought it was more like a 3 star rather than a 4 star hotel compared to many other European hotels we have stayed in. Although we supposedly got a good rate, I don't feel as though we got the best value for our money and could have gotten a nicer looking room elsewhere. However, it is situated directly across from the main train station as well as tram lines which was very handy. Breakfast was very nice and the staff were always very helpful.

Nice calm clean hotel, location is perfect to explore munich or stay over before going anywhere else. Station is right there and city center is 5 min walk.

Very close to Munich train station and an easy walk into the main centre. The room was large and clean and the bathroom was very large with twin sinks and a great shower.

This is a nice hotel with spacious (double) rooms also with really good price per value ration close to the main railway station in Munich. Breakfast was also quite rich.

The hotel is flattered by its 4 stars – the room was drab, verging on grim, and the bedding was spartan. And by the way, it isn't in Monaco, as it says on the page where I am writing this – it's in Munich!Your service was good though, the booking went very smoothly.

Some of the furniture in the room are rather old. Location is ideal since it's near the train station, and just about 15min walk to Marienplatz. Breakfast spread is good but it seems that they are quite short handed as the coffee flask in some tables are not topped up regularly.
