We booked thou the internet .which is normally a good thing but in this case was not. we were given rooms outside in the parking area.the rooms were fare.needed an update , we had to turn of the refrigerator, otherwise it was impossible to sleep at night.the possession of the hotel is very good. We wre doing to orlando 2010. I am thinking about maybe going back again? Price for its position is good

I liked the location, shuttle service, and pool. A lot of exterior (guest noise) disruptions like door slamming. I liked the hotel, but was unaware of the resort fee.

On the upside, the hotel couldn't be more convenient to Downtown Disney. We enjoyed walking the very short distance to go to Rainforest Cafe, shopping and even Disney Quest. The hotel lobby was impressive upon arrival and staff was there to greet you. The pool area was nice and had plenty of seating and a nice outside snack and bar area. On the other hand the rooms were not very clean. If you are unfortunate enough to get rooms in the lower level building west side (104,204,304,404,504) you will look out over the aromatic dumpster and loading dock area. The hotel allowed for a booking of five people however, upon arrival they told us it would be $25/nt. for a rollaway. They said that they allow that many people per room and you can sleep however you want on the two double beds provided!!! Trash often hung around overflowing trashcans in the hallway for several days. Rented a car but heard others from hotel complain about the time it takes to get from hotel to the parks and back again. The snack shop had outrageous prices, $3.00 for 20oz. bottled water! Bought a whole case at grocery store across street for $5.00. We will try something new next trip.

We stayed here in 2006 under the name of The Grosvenor and it was just so-so. At that time the rooms were in need of upgrading and repair, which I think they (the new staff) did.Our stay was near the end of July,2008. This time the rooms were cleaner and newer looking. The only thing that needed to be addressed in our room was that the air conditioner vent had a small leak. It dripped about a drop an hour but to us, that was such a minor thing. The pool area has been updated with a totally brand new pool. That was excellent. The other reason we came back to this hotel was the location to the Downtown Disney Marketplace. It is within 4 minutes to walk there. It has to be one of the closest resorts to Disney without actually being in the Disney chain of hotels or Resorts. The only surprise was , the staff could have been a little warmer and friendlier. More than once we would go down to the front desk and come away feeling a bit turned off from the staff. But that was not going to spoil a great vacation. Would very much return in the future.

Convenient to Downtown Disney. Just steps away and shuttles to all points in Disney. Staff friendly, Florida residents should check with the hotel directly to get resident rate!

Great place to stay near downtown disney. Shuttle to parks every 30 mins. The rooms were very clean and the pool area was so much fun. 2 pools and a hot tub. Room service was great. Close by many resturants.

I book this as an extended business so I would be able to play with my family as well. I have a teenage daughter and two sons under 5 years. There was something for everyone. The little ones enjoyed the Disney character breakfast and the kiddie pool while the teen got a spray on tatoo and played under the pool's waterfall. The kiddie pool was so amazing that the 4 year old wanted to go to the pool instead of Disney. The wait staff at the restaurant were professional, courteous, and great with the litle ones. Fantastic location. Would definitely book here again.

Noisy hotel with people running around and yelling until midnight. Terrible restaurant with a poor menu for a dinner (rip off) and too expensive breakfast with the Mickey Mouse on tuesdays, thursdays and saturdays (with no options than pay 22 dollars for adult buffet and 11 dollars for kids). I would not recommend this hotel for anyone. Shower curtain had mold, the bath tub was rusty, sheets had holes in them as well as blankets. The staff was very unpolite and did not answer the phone when called and all they said that I am sorry. I will never again visit this hotel !!

The best thing is the location, short walking distance (five minutes) to Disney Downtown and very convenient Disney shuttle service to the parks. That's a big plus. But unless you are in the main tower, the other two adjacent small buildings suck: they're old, the hallways look dirty, the rooms and bathroom are very small, the views are not nice. I would stay again but only in the tower.

We looked at many hotels for our honeymoon. This was one of the best priced for what we were looking for so we decided to book it, we originally booked the double bed with courtyard view. When we arrived they upgraded us to the King Disney view, it was wonderful. The staff was friendly, and very helpful with buses and almost anything else. My only very minor complaints were the breakfast issue, and the tv. They have a 24/7 sandwhich place but by 8:30 all the hot sandwhiches were gone, very minor but a bit of an inconvenience... and with the tv, being in Florida it's going to storm, they had direct tv of all things, during the storms the tv would go out!! At one point it was for 3 hours, but at least I had my book!! The pool was amazing, they had 2 pools, and a hot tub. One pool seemed to be heated but was always pretty crowded, the other had the waterfall and was very cold. It is great for spending the days in, but not so much the evenings. Overall it was a wonderful experience!!! We would definitely here stay again, great location, great rooms, excellent service!!! I would definitely suggest it for honeymooners, or couples trying to escape.

The hotel was on the grounds of Disney. Easy asscess to the Disney Market. Buses were constantly stopping to take people to the different parks. The people at the desk were very friendly and helpful and check-in was a breeze. We plan to return next year and stay at the same place.

We enjoyed our stay. Make sure you take a printout to show that you have already paid the daily hotel fee to travel website, I had to dispute it with the woman who checked us in. The Disney view room was very nice. Loved the view of Downtown disney. Unfortunately the excellent looking kids playground in the pool was there when we arrived but two days later was missing and replaced with orange cones and caution tape!!!! I don't know what happened. The food in the hotel was ridiculously priced and not worth it. Luckily we brought snack food with us. The hotel is in a perfect location and we walked to Downtown Disney Everyday for dinner and even for breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Yummy! The buses ran on time every day of our trip. The room and lobby wifi was fine. Loved the bath products. We would definitely stay again, especially for its proximity to Downtown Disney!

When i booked there was no warning of gay and lesbian week. Butch woman and men with painted on shorts shorts abounded. Would have been nice to have an announcement in the webpage. When I got there a big sign said welcome gays ladys week. leaflets with gay sexual adds were strewn in the lobby. Cleaned up by staff to reaapear again he next day. hardly a family place. Everynight 3 to 5 leaflets slipped under the door from local pizza places. When asked, management said there is nothing they could do. There was spit on the floor outside teh elevator, I reported to the front desk and when I returned from Downtown Disney it was still there. When checked in We were never given our breakfast voucher or had any reservation paperwork as they did to the alternative folks checking in when we did. men kissing in the lobby is hardly a family environment. The decor was tacky and chipped formice in the elevator was disappointing for a so called 4 star hotel.

I read some of the reviews about this place before our trip and I was a little nervous. However, it was in my price range. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The hotel is totally renovated and we had great service. It is located in a prime location, right off a main road but also 3 min walking distance from the gates of downtown disney. The buses to the parks were always ontime and came right to the front door of the hotel. Plus in the lobby there were kiosks for car rental, disney information and other helpful information. You didnt have to leave the hotel for any information you needed. I would definately go back. I think if you were going to stay "out side the park" this is the best place you could stay. We didnt travel with children but it was definately kid friendly.

Across the street from Downtown Disney. Run down wing buildings. Was charged $15.00 per day resort fee. This hotel is old and the wing buildings are showing their age. Gated parking lots were broken or missing.
