very nice clean hotel but reception was very slow on arrival

In spacious grounds with leisure club which i didn't use but looked ok and was popular I think with locals. A lot of conference business. Dinner 2 courses + 1 bot approx £70. Easy access to Bristol (if via bridge 50p toll in silver coin, no 50, into bin, but change booth at bridge.

Value for MoneyIt would of been better value if breakfast had of been included, once you add on £15.95 to have breakfast, then this becomes less value.

Hot water didnt work, reception took 30 mins to answer phone, they all seemed to be polish, and at reception they were quite rude. Did refund 10% of room. Service charge for food, not stated on menu. Food wasnt very nice, but very xpensive. In general. We went to use pool, but it was full of kids, it is joined with a lesure centre, so not solely owned by hotel. Overpriced! NOt recommended

No wayI have spent a night in some poor places before and should of guessed what sort of place it was when you seen dirty walls behind reception. got to my room and it was not a double as reuqested and whilst not brilliant I was totaly put off by the apparently grey sheets, guess they should of been white.The state of the corridors should of been a give away with more then threadbase carpets in places

Room now very dated. No hot water in bathroom. Night we stayed the hotel was only partly occupied but we were placed in an end room as far as possible from reception\ enterance, we passed many empty rooms before reaching our room. The price we paid made it worthwhile to book, but would have been very dissapointed if we paid full price. Staff all gave excellant service.

Tired, could do with updatingDecor, expecially carpets very tired. Food Ok but pricey in main restaurant with little choice.Now what i expected from the photo's, would have been nice in 1990.

Overpriced and untiidy. Acoomodation tired and in need of major investmentThe price of meals partcularly breakfast was high based upon quality. The rooms were extremely untidy with, dust and litter under every piece of furniture, from full sheets of paper to sweet wrappers etc. The room was intolerably hot with no means of temperature control and a necessity to leave a window open throughout the night. There is no mobile telephone reception within the hotel premises which makes it unlikely that we would consider reusing this hotel for business purposes again iin the future.

The leisure club is excellent, we were lucky that the weather was great, as we stayed by the outdoor pool. The gym is really good, loads of equipment, great standard. The room we stayed in could do with some updating/tarting up, but good value for the money.

Nice place - good value for the Laterooms price we paid. Indoor pool was full of children and impossible to use so it would be worth going offpeak! Food and drink very expensive when you're there - £6 for a glass of wine just because you have a captive customer is not acceptable, particularly when the barman is rude. But the reception staff were impeccable and we enjoyed our short break.

4 stars?The picture looked great, as did the description, and I was looking forward to a jacuzzi... but no, couldn't see one there. A sauna and a pool, which were nice (especially the sauna), but the changing-rooms had an unpleasant whiff, and the bedroom had no soap or shampoo. I expect a hotel apparently rated 4 stars to have at least soap in the bathroom.The breakfast room was cold and we were seated in the children's room for some reason despite plenty of space elsewhere in a warmer environment, with music. Breakfast was nice but over-priced, even with the discount cutting it from £15.95pp to £10pp.

We were very disappointed with the decorative state of most of the areas, it definatley requires updating, and there were some issues with the cleanliness of the rooms, we had to move rooms due to their being a large yellow stain on the sheets, the window in this room were broken, just generally unkempt.

A family weekend in BristolVery pleased with the hotel. The family room was spacious and clean. We did have to request additional towels but they were delivered promptly. We stayed during a very hot period so the use of the hotel outdoor pool and sun area was ideal. The grounds were also very nice and ease of access to Bristol over Clifton Suspension Bridge was really straight forward. The food was reasonably priced and the choice was good. Breakfast was a little sparse as we were there at the same time as a large wedding party and a little late for the best choice. Altogether a good weekend at a nice hotel which I would recommend and definately use again

We arrived to be told they had not got a reservation for us. Whether this was their mistake or Late Rooms, I cannot say, but they did their best and found us a room despite being full. However, they had had housekeeping staff off sick so the room had not actually been cleaned but we had a wedding to get to so had to get some clean towels and use the bathroom despite it being dirty. That being said, it was all clean when we got back that night although the previous occupants paper was still on the floor and the bin still full! Beds were comfortable though and it was quiet, even though there was a very loud wedding in full swing (not the one we went to). Breakfast was adequate but not the best I've had in a hotel. Staff were helpful (if they could speak English), especially the young man in reception who gave us Late Room rates even though we had no paperwork!

Good price, reasonable quality hotel.The hotel hadn't received the fax from laterooms to give them notice of our bookings. However, they gave us a new room quickly, even though it was 11.20pm. The reception staff seemed slightly unsure of what they were doing at times. The room was nice, although less impressive than the photos suggest. The shower was slightly tricky to use- you had to run hot water for 2 mins from the tap before the shower would work properly. One of the bedroom lights was not working properly. Old plates/ food were left outside rooms in the corridor for long periods of time. We didn't experience any of the leisure facilities at the hotel, although they were all close to the main hotel building.
