when we arrived we were given room 11 which was a basement room with only a view of an outside wall. As I am claustrophobic I went and said we could not stay there. The rec eptionist then offered us , at the same price, a very much upgraded room on the top floor. The replacement room was absolutely fantastic. The staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. I would not like to chance booking and getting the basement room again.

Management/staff exceedingly friendly and helpful. Room was very comfortable and clean, essentially beyond fault. The hotel location is perfect - very quiet yet situated for easy access to the city. Although the food is very good the menu is limited and not subject to regular variation.

Room very nicely decorated. and comfortable. However, did not like the bars on the windows(room in basement ). Could not open window for fresh air. Would definitely stay again, but would ask for a room on first floor.

Excellent staff -- very helpful. Evening meal relatively inexpensive given the quality of the food. Room small but adequate for an overnight stay. Would stay there again.

The Staff are helpful and eager to help. The Bar staff are pleasent and quick serving.Being near to the town centre was a help. though the steps up to the street from the town centre is not for the disabled or infirm.. a taxi is a must. more so with a lot of luggage.Altogher an enjoyable stay.

Highly recommendedI only had one of the single rooms but it was perfect for my stay. Small but perfectly adequate - clean, refurbished to a good standard and with Freeview TV. The shower cubicle was a little tight - if you have long arms they could argue with each other for space but other than that I have no complaints. The staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly, I'd definitely recommend it to friends.

In the centreGreat last minute choice. Room was lovely though a bit noisy late on because we were underneath the restaurant.( We could hear some folk walk across the floor) The noise didn't last too long and we were so tour day out and about that we were asleep in no time.We had our dinner in the restaurant both nights of our stay. Food was absolutely fantastic and not too pricey. I can highly recommend the home-made burgers.

Thoroughly RecommendedI really enjoyed my stay here. I've previously stayed at some of the larger \"brand\" hotels in Inverness but the Redcliffe was far superior in terms of customer service, high standard of accommodation and excellent food. As I was on my own, I did the usual solo-traveller trick of eating early at 6-7pm and the waiting staff were really good. My accommodation was in \"The Town House\" across the road and room was exactly as per photos on the website. I selected Double Room for single occupation and there was lots of space so i'd recommend that option if you can afford the slight increase in cost. Freshly cooked breakfast and poached eggs that were superb! Thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone and definitely for any solo travellers out there.

Rockness 2009Me and my girlfriend travelled up to the Rockness festival. Really quick check-in and good travel advice from the staff. Comfortable room had everything we needed.

On the whole, excellent - would stay againVery good - was very happy with the service and attention. Only downside that the room was on the lower ground floor and there were a number of potential trip hazards (esp. doors at steps) which would mean I might avoid recommending this to anyone with mobility / sensory issues. Central location, close to centre. Restaurant for lunch and the breakfast were very high quality.

Weekend BreakThis was my second visit to this hotel & chose it because of it's central location. I found the staff to be very helpfull & polite. My room whilst small was presented to a good standard & suitable to my needs. The breakfast as always was great, with a good selection to choose from & cooked to order.I have to congratulate the owners on the transformation of their hotel, the refurbishment work that's been undertaken over the last few years has much improved the overall look & feel of the hotel.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The single room was tiny but very pleasant. All in all it was a very nice hotel and I would stay there again. However, the room was directly above the kitchen and I was woken quite early - not very nice on a Sunday morning!

Redcliffe hotel, InvernessThe only drawback to our stay was that when we arrived we were told we were at their \"town house\" accross the road. Not sure if this was because we had booked only 1 night but the room was great and the view was terrific! We were made to feel very welcome at the hotel. Food excellent and very good location for the town. We would stay here again but would prefer to be in the actual hotlel next time.

close but no cigarplus: Well positioned, easy to find, friendly staff, newly refurbed, clean, breakfast very nice.minus: Room was downstairs (from ground level) so not much view, toilet/shower room too tight for comfort, room door lock didn't want to lock, a little too expensive.

Central Inverness Hotel - Great ValueThe Redcliffe Hotel is extremely good value for money and it's management very professional and helpful. The rooms are modern, clean, warm and a decent size with all the mod cons you'd expect and you are issued with your own set of front door keys. There's a restaurant and bar, both of which were very busy in the evening. Breakfast was included in the overnight rate and whilst we didn't make it up in time, management offered us juice, cereal etc when we did surface. It's less than 5 minutes walk from the centre of Inverness and on the day of check out they willingly stored our luggage until it was time for us to head to the train station. We would definitely return!

Bruised legs.Except for the small size of the room, everything about the hotel was perfect. The staff were so nice, friendly and informative, nothing was too much trouble, so much so that I hate saying anything negative. We both have bruised legs from the wooden surround of the bed, perhaps a divan bed in such a small room would have been better.
