Overall, we found the Kalamazoo Red Roof to be a decent value for the money.. I knew this was not a 5 Star Motel and we were not paying a 5 star price. There was no hair dryer which was a surprise. The shower-tub did not drain very well. The bath towels were quite small and not very absorbent. There were no plastic laundry bags provided for dirty clothes. The king size bed was very comfortable and probably the most comfortable that I have ever had when I was on a trip. The room was a decent size for the price. The location was good. There were shopping centers nearby and it was a short drive to the city so I considered the location a good one. We were going to a wedding and were only there for one night so we did not have time to truly evaluate the overall surroundings and the stores and restaurants nearby. I would stay there again based upon price, location and cleanlinness despite the fact that there were some shortcomings.

The stay was comfortable overall, but the room was damp and smelled of stale cigarette smoke. It was a non-smoking room. The staff however, were extremely friendly and accomodating.
