The location was not too bad for the price. It was 2 blocks away from the River Walk and a little ways from the Alamo. We really enjoyed, try the carriage rides if you can.

Location. Font desk clerk, no blankets, no fan in bathroom, moldy shower curtain.

Hotel is conveniently on I-35, between simple shopping and fast food. Rooms were as expected, tidy and clean. The lowest rate rooms have only the beds and TV on a small dresser, no chair or desk or anything. We stayed with our 2 young children, it was safe and quiet (an outdoor access room on the backside of the hotel). Breakfast is simple, just cereal, toast and a few pastries to eat, with milk, coffee, and juice to drink. It's only served from 6-9, and you aren't supposed to take anything from the breakfast area (which is LAME). Show up early if you actually want options, by 8:30 all the pastries were gone. For the price, we'd say it was adequate, fulfilled our needs and we have no major complaints.

The front desk was friendly; however, when entering the room, we found that it smelled of urine. We were majorly disappointed in the breakfast the next morning. There was only cold cereal, muffins and danishes. We were expecting fresh fruit and at least one hot item.

Stayed at this hotel while attending a concert at the Verizon. Had significant concerns for safety/security. Saw many concerning people just hanging around the property. Afraid to stay as well as leave my car in the parking lot. Room was ok. Did accept pets.

I was nervous when I read the negative reviews. However, the people and customer service were great! The room was large. I felt safe and the parking lot was well lit. The free breakfast was minimal, but they did offer some good cereals for the kids, and some nice pastries. Of most of the hotels in the area, this one seemed to be the nicer one. All the people staying were going to Schlitterbaun. The maid kept the room very clean and we had plenty of towels! They have done a lot of updating at this Red Roof Inn. Don't be afraid to try it!

I expected at least it to be clean and bug free, when i pulled back the bed spread the was a dead bug on the sheet. Also for a family of four they provided towels for two people and not enough soap. I wont use this hotel again or suggest it to anyone else!

Room was quiet, bed firm and comfortable. No facial tissues in bathroom. Watched an Houston Astros game on TV with blue outfield grass, and picture not up to par. Price was high, but compared to other motels on Memorial Weekend, was resonable.

Floated the Guad. Friendly staff. Hotel was quiet.

This hotel was about $* for a room on Saturday night. We felt completely taken. The ice machine was empty. The shower curtain had mold on it. Noise from other rooms could be easily heard from our room. The cable TV was fuzzy. The room had two double beds even though we had reserved a king-sized bed. The carpet was stained. The pool was on the gross side. Should I go on?

We had a good time, but....The Google Map provided was way off. We had to call for directions when we arrived, after driving around lost and confused.

"The hotel is quiet and generally clean, altough there was some mold in the bathroom. Not a bad place to stay, but overpriced for what you get."

We were visiting family and did not spend much time in the room which was good because there was not a lot of room, King bed one chair. Designed for a family stay at the water park. Towels were smaller than what we were accustomed to but it was clean.

"The hotel is new and in a good location. However, the beds are too soft, the pillows are non-existant, breakfast is given strictly during the times specified, and the response to issues are very slow (have to keep prompting the management."

This motel was clean and convenient. I'd stay there again.

"The room was quiet, nice and clean and they provide a free continental breakfast. A good room for the money. "

The Red Roof Inn was easy to check-in and very helpful with all my questions. The bed was larger than expected and very comfortable. The continental breakfast was excellent. Check-out was efficient and quick.

the hotel was undergoing renovation, but it was not obvious, they did a great job keeping the process under wraps...........the room we stayed in was in great condition as it was newly remodeled, everything worked great, ac was excellent, great water pressure, staff were professional and friendly.......I would stay again without hesitation.

It was nice to be able to travel with our small dog, but the room smelled like it had other animals in it previously. Though the room was clean, the animal smell was a big turn-off. (I'm not sure if they have certain rooms reserved for travelers with animals since we've never stayed there before.) There were plenty of fast food restaurants, gas stations, and convenience stores nearby as well as a Target and a Wal-Mart, and it was easy and quick to get to all area attractions. If we travel with the dog again, we will probably stay here, but I'm not sure we'd stay there without the dog.
