We had a wonderful trip, the location of the hotel was prime and the staff was very friendly. The hotel in general was a great value and they were extremely pet friendly, which is hard to find these days.

Location was good that is all. Room because of smell , AC, noise. This Red Roof Inn was not very clean, the room smelled musty, the AC did not work well. The walls were not sound proof. The Lamp Shocked my daughter. The ice maker on our end of the hotel did not work! When I asked for extra towels, the cleaning lady told me to go upfront she did not have any. We will probably never stay at a Red Roof Inn again!

Minimal, clean, no smells, good value. Located close to a small pond and minutes away from a walk on the Avenel Bridge.

Very noisy-walls super thin. Had problems w/guest next to me. The staff did take care of problem however. You can hear people talking or phone ringing. Also carpet very dirty. Walked around in flip flops. My white socks were black after one night of walking around. The facet was also loose. No water pressure in shower.

Had a toilet problem and no maintenance was on duty. Had to use a plunger ourselves.

Newly renovated with updated colors/decor. The room was very convenient to Mt. Pleasant and Patriot's Point. Room was clean with limited amenities. The front desk has a great little coffee machine. Only negative, the walls of the guest rooms are very thin.

I ended up getting a room here for Memorial Day, and got a pretty good rate. However, the hotel itself left much to be desired. It was pretty noisy outside of the rooms. The room had a humidity problem (the carpet felt damp at all times and some food that we had brought became a bit soggy after just a few hours), and the A/C died during the second night. Housekeeping took our towels and washcloths, but failed to replace them with new ones. I also found the bed uncomfortable, but it may have been more related to the room's temperature problems. I know that you get what you pay for, but you wouldn't buy a cheap brand of peanut butter and be okay with finding a toenail in it. There's a line between economy and just cheap, and I feel like the hotel jumped right over it. The one good thing that it did have going for it is that it was very close to downtown Charleston, and the front desk was able to give us some coupons for the local dining, which was fantastic. The trip itself was great, hotel excluded. I spent most of my drive home planning my next trip. I just think next time I will bite the bullet and splurge on a better hotel.

Our visit to Charleston was a great one. The stay at the Red Roof made it better. A great price, and great service. Staff was friendly and the rooms, (We had two other couples with us), were clean and well stocked with needed items. Room service daily to replace towels. Hair dryers not in rooms but front desk was glad to loan us one for our three day stay. Close to everything. Will stay again when in the area. Thanks!! The Frierson's

We went for a quick weekend and found the price right for the little time we wanted to spend in the room. We were impressed with the friendly staff, and the location to Charleston was perfect for us. The money we saved in the rate was great in comparison to everything else we could find. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

Good location, clean rooms, clean grounds, asked for extra towels and they gave them to me with no questions. It's not that I didn’t like it but the office was locked in the evenings and made me wonder how safe the area was. Overall it meet my expectations and am pleased with the 3 night stay, would probably stay there again.

This hotel is in a very good location for easy access to Charleston, which was our main destination. We ended up staying two nights instead of one. The room was comfortable with easy access to the pool. The area Visitor Center is right across the grounds, where you can pick up tourist info. & coupons.

A quick drive across the bridge into downtown. Some heavy traffic in the morning, but well worth the cost savings. Room was immaculate! Easy check in. I was very satisfied. They might benefit from better signage as the hotel is hidden off the main road a bit. Would be a shame if they lost business because of this.

Location was good. No key card for room and no towels and no free Wi-Fi. We stayed at this motel for the location and for the fact that we would be arriving into Charleston late on a Friday. Unfortunately there were no key cards left for our room. I have never had this happen before. Seemed very common for the staff, but very inconvenient for us. Got to the room and absolutely no towels. Asked staff to bring some up for us since we didn't have keys to our room, we waited but no one came. We ended up going down to the office to pick up our own towels. Will not stay here again.

Just there to see a friend and the beach. Room was clean and the staff very courteous.

The Red Roof Inn Mount Pleasant is literally less than a 10 minute drive from historic Charleston although they need better signage (I had a little trouble finding it because it is behind a gas station). The room was incredibly clean, and the bed was enormous! Staff was very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely stay here again!

Hotel was clean and comfortable. We would have liked to have a refrigerator and microwave in the room.
