Nothing, It was a dump! Everything was horrible! It was disgusting in every way from the dirty linens, dirty bathtub/shower, dead bugs, cigarette smoke smell throughout even in non-smoking rooms and the disgusting trashy bar in the hotel in which the locals seem to frequent to top it all off.

somebody should have informed me or at least indicate in the website that it has changed its name, its not Regency but Red Roof Inn.

It was better than I expected. The pool looked incredible though did not have a chance to try it. I tripped at rise near elevator on the floor. It was not marked with a red or yellow band. I liked the hotel. Their continental breakfasts rocked.

We were in Lubbock for our TX TECH student. While the room was fairly inexpensive, it was in desperate need of repair. I used more linens on the floor to sop up the leaking water than I used for the shower - which I couldn't get to work! There was no outlet by the desk for use with the computer. Also, the name of the hotel is "Red Roof", not "Hotel Lubbock Regency", so we had difficulty finding it. The name changed 2 months ago.

Nothing. Wake up calls were not provided. No free coffee for morning dirty floors with paper. This is not a hotel for business t revelers. I would not stay here again. There are too many hotels without the convention center Name attached to do any good. Stay in your car before you stay here.

We travel frequently and stay in hotels ranging from 1 star to 5 star. This hotel is the first that I am writting a bad review for. Room was non smoking and yet reeked of smoke when we arrived. Stayed two nights and got awaken early each morning around 6:00am by the sound of slaming doors of other guests and kids screaming in the hallway. We were delayed in arrival because of weather out of DFW so we were rushed when we got to the hotel and needed to quickly iron our clothes for a formal dinner. The iron in our room left black residue on white shirt and was not usable. We called the desk for a replacement and told them we were in a hurry and asked if it would be quicker to come down to the desk to pick it up. No she said she would be right up with another. 15 minutes later we called and same lady answers and says she is on her way. Another 15 minutes goes by before the iron arrives. We arrived 10 minutes late to our dinner. Next morning go to make coffee and the coffee maker doesn't work. Called the desk and they said they would bring up a pot of coffee right away. It never arrived. On check out we told the Manager [...] of our problems and he gave us a "is that all, well I hope everything else was fine" and walked away. This lack of any concern for our complaints was appalling. Perhaps this was small compared to more severe complaints he gets everyday and we should consider ourselves lucky??? I would highly recommend staying at one of the other hotels located along this strip and one much closer to Texas Tech if that is what is bringing you to town. If you do stay here then be prepared that things will be broken, noisy mornings and very little help from staff. If you have noisy kids that get up early and let the door slam as they constantly go in and out then this may be your place to stay.Last thing: Hotel name is listed on travel sites as Hotel Regency, but when you pull up it is Red Roof Inn.

For the price, it was sufficient. When I booked online, the website showed it to be called "Lubbock Regency" and the pics showed a grand hotel for a great price. When we got to Lubbock, we couldn't find the hotel sign, but based on the address, it took us to "Red Roof Inn". Not sure who's error that is, but when we went to curiously check in, they didn't have my reservation nor the room I reserved on the website. This may be cheaptickets.com fault, but no one from the website responded to that complaint either. Since my husband and I were only staying a night, I would have rather paid $10 more and stayed somewhere else. They are completing renovations, which would have also been good to know, so maybe it'll be nicer once completed!

Did like smell, lack of ellavator, darkness, bath sheetrock fall off, rust on fixers, damp mole smell hall , lobby smell like the pool. Would not want to stay there again.

My stay at the hotel was nice. There are a few things that I didn't like about my stay however. One was, not being familiar with the city at all, I would have liked to see what restaurants where close to the hotel. Two, the hotel had a terrible oder that made me sick from the stomach.

Price was good. Very filthy. Overall I was very disappointed with the quality of the hotel. Only 1 of 6 ice machines worked. Everything was dusty and the carpets were dirty (lent/papers/ visible dirt). Pool was nice but many people swam with their clothes on. Felt very dirty!

The hotel was difficult to find because it had a different name (Red Roof Inn) than was listed in the reservation. The room was fine but the bathroom was unclean.

The outside was nice to look at. Bathroom problems, missing lamps, dirty, no ice. Hotel has good potential, needs a new management team. Maintenance was poor.

Great hotel for the price I paid. Equivalent or better than some of the hotels in Lubbock which charge anywhere from $25.00 -$50.00 more. The pool area and free continental style breakfast was a big bonus.

Staff went out of their way to be nice at check-in. Got my 5:00 wakeup call at 6:00 and no coffee cups in room. My first night was uneventful. The staff was nice and gave me extra coffee for my room on request. But you have to drink coffee out of glasses and the room is very basic with no extras. And I came home to find 15 bug bites on my body. I will never stay in that hotel again.

Perfect place to stay if you are making a quick one day trip. We went for a concert and needed somewhere to rest our heads before driving home that was affordable,conveniant and clean. The inside is dated and could use some updating. For the most part it was clean. The room we has was very dim, hard to get ready in.

The hotel was very easy to get to from the freeway. The room was clean and very nice for the price. Hallways and lobby entrance are in need of some updating. Breakfast was plenty and a good variety. Staff were very friendly and helpful. For the price it was an OK place for the night.

The rooms were clean and updated, the pool was clean and fun, the little restaurant was sad. The restaurant needs a lot of help. It worked for us, 7 adults and 9 children, kids loved the pool, the adults loved the rooms.
