Good value for the price. Excellent location for all the activities in the area. Average continental breakfast.

Quietness. Bed a little uncomfortable but I have back problems. For the amount of money, it was a great value. Very clean, friendly & competent staff, close to necessities such as restaurants, etc.

Unfriendly staff, they are clueless about directions or attractions. Bed sheets and pillow cases were not changed after previous guests! Breakfast room is soo small, you have to wait till someone finishes. The food was FINISHED whike geusts are still coming for breakfast. Kitchen staff keep lot of fruites for themselves. Tried to complain to front desk but the answer was like "we can do nothing, eat yourself" Wont go there again!

Nice room. Nicely renovated. Carpets in hallways were stained, but overall, a good place to stay.

The hot complimentary breakfast was very good. Staff at the front desk were not friendly. It was an okay hotel but not impressive other than the hot breakfast.

The staff kept getting the wrong room - first it wasn't clean, tnen the door would not open. Very unfriendly staff.

Good continental breakfast. Very uncomfortable room overall. Since I was only staying at the hotel for one night it was sufficient to sleep in however, I would not recommend it to stay in for more than that. The beds, towels, furniture were all very uncomfortable, had old decor and appliances, and thin walls. But for business travel purposes it was fine for the evening.

The cost for the area. Beds were very hard! It was a great location and quiet. The cost was very good for the area. The continental breakfast was okay but not too exciting.

This hotel is in a great location right in the middle of everything. Thats about all that is good about it. Booked room thru Orbitz for 2 nights then arrived early and added a night in front . Desk clerk stated extra night would be $ 73.00 which was paid for with my Credit card. Checked my CC statement online found out Red Roof billed me three times once for $50 one for $60 and one for 193.00. Went to snotty desk clerk who stated the $50 & $60 were for " incidentals " which would be cleared when I check out. The $193 should have been the $73 room rate but was charged in error which they would try to correct. Stayed for 3 nights room was never serviced at all. Called first day to have housekeeper come and never did . Just went and got more towels each day. Went to front desk two times for change once with a $20 bill which they said they had no change for and the next day for change of a $1 bill. Guess what no change again. Do yourself a favor and skip this place.

The hotel is not very attractive. The rooms were clean, however the lobby and hallways were unpleasant looking.

How could Orbitz give such a WORN OUT Hotel four stars ? Orbitz has definitely lost credibility with me. Newly Renovated ?? We had to demand a different room since the 70's era air conditioner wouldn't work. The second "non-smoking" room wreaked of cigarette smoke. The furniture in the final room we were offered was just as worn out, and filthy looking as the first two rooms. Staff was extremely hostile and unfriendly from the minute I came through the door to register for the first time. We left the Red Roof Inn in Lancaster disgusted and vowing to never stay at another Red Roof Inn again.

The location was good right across the street from the Lancaster Host. Noisy, felt like people were walking into my room when opening/closing their doors. Very loud, doors slamming until 4:00 in the morning, the sink wouldn't shut off and almost overflowed, wake up call for 6:45 am was at midnight. The woman at the front desk was very nice and helped with the overflowing sink.

The cost and location were great. However the room I got had some issues. The compact refrigerator had been off for some time but not cleaned, so had mildew and bad odor. The door to the room didn't seal tightly to frame, so noise and light came through around the door. Also had problems with the card keys, often taking many times to get into the room. Light in bath was dim. One elevator is available but is around back - not centrally located, leaving patrons to walk all around building to get to their rooms. Staff somewhat responsive, but busy training during checkout, slowing down the process.

The hotel room had no insulation and every conversation in rooms on all sides of our room could be heard. This hotel was horrible. Conversations from the adjoining rooms could easily be heard as well as all outside traffic and conversations. When we attempted to get our room changed the manager and owner were of no help and very rude. The room itself had small and old beds and the bedding was not clean.

Visited many of the Amish sites and stores - location is perfect for such activities. Had a grand time in Hershey visiting the Hershey company and all its facets. This Inn is close to all stores, malls...and places to eat (the Texas Roadhouse is right next door) - a total good place to stay for the buck.

I have avoided staying at Red Roof Inns due to the uneven quality I have found over the years. The staff was helpful and it was located between downtown Lancaster and the outlet areas, convenient to both. It offered several amenities you would expect from higher rated hotels, including a free hot, buffet breakfast, free wireless internet, exercise room and pool. The exercise room was limited, just three machines and no TV, but at least it was offered. The beds in my room were about ready for replacement, although it was otherwise clean. Despite all of the positives, I would probably not stay there again, as it had very thin walls. I could actually hear the woman in the room next to mine snoring throughout the night, except when the heat kicked on, which was so loud that I had to turn it off to get to sleep. The plumbing is also very loud, you could hear it every time someone ran the water or flushed a toilet in an adjacent room.

We were very pleased with our room. We had a very comfortable king size bed, micro, fridge, double sinks vanity, and our room was very spacious. The hotel offered 24 hour drinks hot or cold. Would stay there again. Very close to shopping outlets and our pick up point for our bus tour to NYC. We also had plenty of restaurants in walking distance to choose from for dinner.

Desk clerk heard us ordering dinner and presented us with a coupon for a free appetizer. Needs some maintenance upgrades. This hotel is a family friendly. It has a computer with Internet services in the lobby and is also equipped with WI-FI.
