this was our first time to hilton head. the hotel was great and centrally located to a lot of the stuff we wanted to do. the pool was great and the room was fine. the only downfall is the other folks that stayed that couldn't follow the hotel directions. it's a pet friendly hotel which is fine but all the folks that booked with dogs way way bigger than the hotel allows and then bringing them into the pool area which is not allowed. i didn't go back to the pool after i saw that. that is not the fault of the hotel just the people staying there. all in all great trip. we will be back to hilton head.

It was very decorative. My husband, daughter & I travel allot and it was the most colorful place we've stayed. The yard man saw us with my 4 month old and continued our way with a weed eater. When I turned around he was about 20 inches from my daughter. The yard man was about 40 feet away when he first acknowledged my husband, daughter and I standing outside. We had my daughter in her stroller as we were putting stuff in the car. When I turned around he was about 20 inches from my daughters face with his weed eater at full speed. Stuff was flying everywhere. We also had got an okay to check out 30 minutes late, since I had to work until 11am. I arrived at 1120am to find that my husband and 4 month old daughter had been thrown outside with all of our stuff. The manager did apologize but, the lady who throws them out (the same lady that gave permission for us to stay) continued to be rude. I was very unhappy compared to my previous stay at the same hotel just the week before. My daughter could have been seriously injured or worse.

The Red Roof inn was sub standard. The room was small. We asked for a deluxe room, i believe we did not get checked into a deluxe room.. The bath area was small also. Most of all, our room had a strange odor, to the point that our clothes smelled. We had to purchase a candle and a can of "oust". The shower itlself had a brown slime on the walls when i went to use it I had to clean it first. There was a stain on the bed clothes as well. Hilton Head is one of the more beautiful places we go too. The accomadations we arrived to were poor at best. I would have expected to pay less then **$ per night for what we stayed in but my wife and I paid well over ***$ per night. The room had no ammenities, no coffee, no waters, ect... The TV was outdated and poor quality. I was also very disapointed that upon arrival, I was asked to pay for wireless internet service. We were honestly disapointed in our stay. We would not reccomend this hotel to anyone.

Don't waste your money on this dump! The staff was unfriendly and the room was unkempt. We found 3 roaches in our room. We moved to Days Inn next night which was a much nicer hotel with a better rate!

The only bad part was that our booking read that check in was at 1pm but when we got to the hotel at 1:30pm they told us we would have to wait until 3:30 or 4pm and after breaking down in our car on the way down, that was the last thing we needed! Also it was very hard getting someone to answer the phone on the way over to get directions to the hotel.

They did not have hot water on our first day there. I called the front desk to find out what was going on. The hot water heater broke, and was fixed later in the day. We left the room and came back in the evening and it was fine. Then, they did not clean our rooms on our second day. Called the front desk again: was told that one of their cleaning employees called out that day. Starting to get annoyed, but OK, people call out. Went to the front desk for clean towels. Guess what happened again on our fourth day! That's right, no cleaning! Called the front desk and complained heartily. Clean towels were brought to the room. They cleaned our room first the next day. It was a cheap room, and we weren't in there too much, but I do expect to have hot water and cleaned rooms with fresh towels every day. We left a day early.

Just spent 2 nights at the Red Roof Inn at Hilton Head Island and couldn't have been more pleased. We have stayed at hotels of every caliber all around the country and world. We were returning from a trip to Florida and decided to grab 2 days in Hilton Head on our way back to Bethesda, MD. This hotel was completely renovated in February of 2007. The rooms are excellent with all new amenities and infrastructure. The employees were friendly and courteous. The location is excellent and within a short distance of all major sites. Great value, clean rooms - would definitely stay here again.

YOur rooms are clean, simple and user-friendly. Check-in was a breeze and the staff at the front desk was friendly and efficient. The reason that I could not give a highest score for the dining facillities was that there were none at our Red Roof Inn, but this was not a problem since there were many good restaurants close by. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at thr RRI, especially the fact that they had 3 HBO channels for evening viewiing and a WONDERFUL coffee machine that produced delicous special coffes.

This was a great hotel for what it is. It is recently renovated, well located and at a great price. We loved the coffee machine and the bakery on the corner. Everyone was really friendly with us and our dogs.

The Red Roof in was confortable, the location of the hotel was great. You could eat, shop and gas your car all in the same area. Right beside the hotel was a diner where you could eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The gas station and shoppette was available. There was a donut shop within walking distance also. Shopping was near by. The Red Roof Inn was comfortable, the room was large and it was very peacefu

This hotel was fantastic for us because we did not mind having to drive ten minutes to a public beach. The room was extremely clean, and it did not smell smoky. This hotel was quite a bit cheaper than the other options and was close enough to everything to still feel like we were at the beach.

I was a little worried about staying at this Red Roof Inn because of the cost (compared to others). But, we needed an affordable night at the beach, so we gave it a try. We were very pleased. The room was clean and looked fairly new. The beds were comfortable. We slept well and felt that we got plenty for our money.

We were very pleased with the check in and out at the Red Roof Inn in Hilton Head SC. We stayed for 3 nights and the inn was located in a nice area. However, you will need a car to get around. The room was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. They had a gourmet coffee and hot chocolate machine in the lobby and packaged muffins and danish. The ice machine area was clean and always had ice (and the hotel was full). We did not try out the pool as we drove to the ocean. There was a pancake house, bakery and convenience gas station in the parking lot with the hotel. Nice restaurants nearby. We would recommend to people who have a car and who are on a budget visiting Hilton Head.

The Red Roof Inn at Hilton Head Island was a pleasant surprise for the value and also the location on the island. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was comfortable and met our needs.

the red roof inn was a very nice place to stay. i called for specific directions and the staff wasn't able to give me very good directions. the room was very large with 2 double beds, a decent vanity area but the bathroom was like being in a closet, not very large at all. if i was a heavy individual it would have been very difficult to use the bathroom and shower. the wireless wifi should be part of cost of the room because most people bring their laptop computers with them whether they be business or non business individuals. only 1 suit case stand was provided which made it difficult for 2 people to unpack their belongings. the hotel was located in a very nice part of town with ample places to eat.
