Upon our arrival we noticed the outside looked kind of old, and a little dingy(not as nice as the pictures). The pool also looked very dirty needless to say we did not go swimming. Next we were upset to find ourselves in a King jacuzzi room when we paid for and reserved clearly a King SUITE- a much larger room with a jacuzzi and fireplace. We went down to the 1 desk clerk that was working to show our confirmation letter and picture of our King jacuzzi Suite, he said he would look into it and call us back. At least 15 minutes later we get a call that none of the 2 King suites are open, they overbooked. He said, "well what do you need a fireplace for at this time anyway?" The point is we paid for a better bigger room expecting to get it- and thats NOT what we got. On the better side after at least an hour or so he did give us the employee discount, it took him so long trying to get a hold of a manager that was off duty, once again he was the ONLY one there. We were only staying 1 night on our way to another destination but wanted to spend the rest of our day sightseeing and shopping. This took up enough of our little time that we had. The shower also had grime, dirt and mold in it. This room also had no hair dryer and the suite would've. He also offered us a air mattress without the 10 dollar charge. The worker did try his best to help our stay better. All in all it was not our worst nor our best experience. The rooms are nice and comfortable and the beds were good. But we are not returning in 2009. Hopefully we'll have better luck with the next hotel that we'll try.

My mom and I have been coming to this motel for the past 5 years, I was very pleased with our visit this time, the renovations were great. The beds have pillow-top mattresses, there is a coffee maker, microwave and fridge in the room. The staff was very friendly. We like it because after a day of shopping, you don't want to hear cars going by all night long. There are nice restaurants within walking distance. We will be returning next year, and many years after that.

Beds were hard. Noisy. Door lock wouldn't work. Breakfast typical.

Free coffee/cappuccino machine in lobby, very nice in room Jacuzzi. Doors open to parking lot. Red Roof may have been the first economy hotel chain in America, but this room had no feel of economy. It was a king bed Jacuzzi too that was very nice. It didn't have one of the cheap jacuzzi tubs like some motels do, with a few jets in the Bathroom tub. This was a large Jacuzzi, with Tile surroundings. The bed was very comfortable, and the staff was great! I will definitely stay here again!

This motel is great! We have stayed in Gatlinburg several times and have paid a much higher rate for a hotel and been disappointed. We got a great rate, the people were friendly and helpful, and the place was quiet and clean. Would definitely recommend this motel! The Red Roof can be a little hard to find since it sits back between buildings. Its on your left if coming from the main road onto ski mountain road, past the Family Inn.Oh, they let your pet stay for free too!!

The rooms were really nice and clean. At first, I was afraid to stay at this hotel after I read all the reviews from this site. Once I arrived and checked in, I totally disagreed and wanted to make sure that everyone knew that this was a great place to stay. I stayed here for 2 nights and if I ever returned to Dollywood, this is the place I would stay again. The price is very reasonable and the staff is very friendly. The rooms are very, very nice. The hotel looks like it has been very well kept. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Staff was always friendly and helpful. Location was perfect due to closeness of all facilities and yet off the "beaten track" to allow some solitude. Our room faced a relaxing creek! 'Loved the size of the room!

Clean room. The exterior is a little rough, but the refurbished and updated rooms made up for it. Parking is tight and inconvenient.

Good choice for the price if you just need somewhere to sleep. A little off the beaten path, but not a bad walk to all the action of Gatlinburg. Our room was a King with a gas fireplace. Fireplace was on a timer, however, you could not turn the pilot light off so it ran all the time, which you could smell and hear. Overall, decor and layout was nice. The key did not always work. It would take several attempts to open the door. Staff was very friendly kept the lobby area and breakfast area very clean.

the hotel didnt look that nice as we rolled up on it . looked old but taken care of . the staff was very helpful went out of his way to get us what ever we needed. mostly the outside looked ruf was because of the surrounding areas, older part. breakfast could have been more but was okay. i would stay again. it seemed more people stayed in this hotel than others. was very good for hotel.

Staff members were very helpful. Pool area needs a little work It was 2 blocks from the Gatlinburg strip, the staff was very helpful, the beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. They even had treats (chocolate and granola bars) for the guests all the time and breakfast in the morning.

The price of the hotel was good, the location is at the end of the strip (where the road goes into hiking land) and up two blocks. The cleanliness of the place was decent too. My only problem was that when you walk into the room it smelled of cat/dog urine. It quickly goes away as you stay in the room for more than a few minutes but it's still there none the less. I would recommend this hotel for a cheap place within walking distance from the strip but maybe bring your own air freshener or something. Oh and there is a parking lot at the end of the strip too for $5 bucks for your last day when you need a place to park. This is the cheapest place to park.

The motel was said to have private balcony overlooking a small creek. When we arrived the balcony was only a 30 inch wide sidewalk overlooking a growed up jungle. Not enough parking spaces. Bathroom had wood that had been replaced and not even painted or finished. Did not appreciate being misled by the advertised quality of the room. I consider this to be fraudulent advertising! Have stayed at other Red Roof Inns before, cannot believe Red Roof Inn would let this establishment use their name. Very dissatisfied and would NEVER recommend to anyone and will NEVER stay there again!

Great proximity to area attractions including mountains, dining and shopping. Quiet, off the main street by less than two blocks, easy walk. I will stay there again.

Peaceful quiet. The bed was very uncomfortable did not rest well. Was not located within walking distance still had to pay to park to walk Gatlinburg. Bed was very uncomfortable did not sleep well. But other than that was very good nice clean rooms nice pool but it rained the whole time we were there. Great hot tub, loved the stream outside our room.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hot tub was the perfect ending to walking around all day. I was also impressed that the room didn't have the old Floral pictures and bedspread. It was actually a little more modern looking than most places I have stayed. Overall...for the price I was very satisfied :)

The surrounding properties are a little "low rent" so I was pleasantly surprised at the wonderfully, clean and modern room we had. The room was very clean, the air conditioning worked well, and there was a decent refrigerator and microwave. The staff was very friendly and professional. This hotel is located at the end of the Gatlinburg strip near the entrance to the National Park, so it was fairly quiet. It was a little far to walk to the shopping area (about 1/2 mile to the main strip) but the trolley comes by the entrance (for only 50 cents) every 15 minutes or so.

The title says it all. The room was very clean and comfortble, and the staff was was very helpful and courteous. It's located just off of the east end of the Gatlinburg strip, just outside the entrance to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. All of Gatlinburgs attractions and dining are just a short walk away.

Interesting interior/desk design. Not clear if breakfast was included. Hotel had a slight aroma, probably related to the close proximity to the stream right outside.
