Front desk was helpful in person but when you called them they answered their phone as if they were at home. Weird! It was a great location, lots of shops and resturants

Convenience to eating establishments and to major highways. Uncomfortable beds, noisy 5 & 6 am travelers. The beds made our backs sore.

we stayed 3 nights here. Everything was clean. Service also ok. This is located in mid city. 30min from Downtown chicago. Everything is near by. So we really enjoyed this stay. But there is no microwave, refrigirator, hair dryer,iron . Place was very clean. There was a coffee machine in the lobby. Who ever likes the starbucks coffee they must try this. They kept breakfast also in the lobby. It was ok. I really liked the coffee.

While the staff and location were great, the room was so small I had to go out in the hall to change my mind. The rooms are clean but very dingy. The hallways are in need of repair and updating. All in all, with the exception of the very courteous staff, not a pleasant experience.

For what it's worth, if you're visiting a city like Chicago, you'll be busy. These rooms are clean and well kept and a great place to crash after seeing the town. For the price, you can't beat it.

Very comfortable bed. Only three pillows on a king size bed. Would prefer four. Remodeled in the last couple of years. Very attractive new furnishings. Large television. Easy check in and out. Shower has curved rod which makes it feel roomier. Option to go green gives you the choice to have less cleaning during your stay but still provides bed making and clean towels.

Stayed at the Red Roof in in Downers Grove to attend a wedding. The room was clean and updated. The amenities in the room were lacking. We did need to ask for a iron and ironing board. They said they were all out but they did bring one once we arrived at our room. There are no hair dryers in the room either. Same thing, went to the front office and they had one there for us after we called and they said they were all out. Other than that the stay was very comfortable for the price.

the price for the stay didn't seem worth it. I felt that the inn was not a hotel but more like a motel. even the room seemed like a motel. the outside seemed like it as well and the price I felt did not fit the quality.

Cleanliness of rooms, parking lot and public spaces. Size-a little cramped in the bathroom and desk space. An attractive, modern room with access to several highways in the West Chicago suburbs, this Red Roof has high-quality service and cleanliness. If you don't need much more than a bed, shower, and internet access, this hotel can meet those needs well.

Although they were short staff in the late evening when we were checking in. The clerk was friendly and efficient. The room is nice and clean and the stay was quiet and comfortable. You would misjudge it by the price because usually hotel with these rates are terrible but this was an awesome hotel. It is located by alot of amentities. and its right off the highway. You would enjoy yourself. I would recommend this hotel to those who do not like staying in run down and dirty hotels; because their prices are so low you would think its not the place. All Red Roof Inns are not like this one. I was totally shocked and have stayed many times there after because If you are use to upscale hotel but just can't afford it this trip. Then Red Roof Inn is the place for you.

This Red Roof Inn in Downers Grove has always given me a very clean and comfortable room at a very low price. All the furnicing looked new and well kept. Rooms bright and warm. Oh, and what a great shower!!

I was given a room reeeking of smoke even with keeping doors open for extended hours. Receptionist at check in refused to change to non smoking even though I dont smoke. They said no other rooms available even thogh I spent 1 week in the same hole.

This is an excellent place to stay if you are on a budget and just need a clean place to sleep. It doesn't offer any amenities, but you get what you pay for. It's fairly central and is reasonably priced. I would highly recommend it.

the room was very clean. there were tv, desk,and chair in the room. The room seemed much larger and very clean than I expected. the bathroom also looked very clean and new. the negative things about the place were that we had to buy a card to use the internet and there was no microwave to heat up food. overall, i am very satisfied and happy that i stayed at Red Roof Inn Chicago Downers Grove.
