The Red Roof Chesapeake is located of the I-64 at Greenbrier Parkway, right across the street from the Chesapeake Conference Center, and approximately 15 miles from Norfolk Airport. Location. Check in person wouldn't get off personal call to check me in. It's okay considering the star/price, but the room was missing some items like soap, some towels, shampoo, etc and the check in person was too busy on her cell phone with a personal call to check me in properly.

Earlier in the month I stayed at the Red Roof Inn Virginia Beach (196 Ballard Ct.) and thought it was a great bargain for a no frills overnighter. Unfortunately, this property was a far cry from that. The room was not very clean, for one thing. The carpet looked as if it hadn't been vaccumed in a while. The walls were thin, so you can hear conversations in the next room. The concrete pathway on the upstairs floor means that you're going to hear the heels of anyone not wearing sneakers outside your door. And because the parking lot is between the two main buildings, it amplifies the car noise for louder vehicles. I don't know why truckers have to idle their trucks for countless minutes during ungodly hours but it never seems to fail. The front desk staff was pretty mediocre too. The gentleman who checked me in couldn't crack a smile but was cordial. The lady in the morning was smoking at the lobby door trying to blow the smoke outside but it still filled up the lobby area. All in all I was very sorry I didn't spend a little more on a better room. Ironically, right across the street is the Marriott, so I could only think about how I should've stayed there!

I had to come to VA. Beach for family business and also had to bring my dog with me. There is no charge for a pet. The room I stayed in had a small refrigerator, microwave, queen size bed, a nice table for using my laptop and doing some work. Prior reviews were not very encouraging but I can say that it met all my needs and the price was reasonable. I will be returning to the area later in August and will quite probably stay in the same place because it was clean, comfortable, and allowed me to have my best friend with me. It is not the most fancy place but I was very much satisfied.

i went for a family babyshower. there was no pool,, the staff didnt even speak!! when we would say good morning. we always take our own coffee pot..good thing the complimentary coffee was out of order the whole weekend..

Good location, easy to find. Lobby was not attractive and did not have any bathroom facilities. Good location, the room was comfortable and seemed clean.

The room was very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, the staff was very helpful and friendly. The only real improvement that I would comment on is that they need more towels.

The furniture was out dated and old. The cleaning crew did not clean the hotel properly. We were afraid to sleep under the sheets.

The staff at the hotel were incredible. Very helpful with directions and things to do. They were respectful of 'our space' and fabulous to chat with. The linens and room were clean with little complaint about the condition of the room at all. Beautiful artwork was hung all over the room. The only complaint was the lack of amenities. However not having a hair dryer or iron was something that I could live without. Overall a terrific experience.

the red roof inn located in chesapeake virginia was excellent. it is a beautiful hotel. the staff made sure i was comfortable with everything i needed. they will see me again. the location was excellent.
