The hotel is clean and modern, has airconditioning and a good Chinese restaurant on site. It is conveniently located to see both Victoria harbor (not walking distance), and get to the airport easily. It is set away from Douglas street and can be hard to find first time. Parking is scarce near the Inn. Bit noisy from street trafic but AC drowns it out.

The hotel location is not good. It has a VIP. Lounge, and a Liquor shop in the same building and so in the parking lot even at late hours of night you find questionable people (drunk) in the parking lot. Not family friendly The equipment is back-dated and not well maintained. Got stuck in the elevator. Horrible experience. The hotel is very difficult to find if you are coming from Victoria City Center. There are no signs on the Road. The staff was not very helpful at all.

The location. The front desk staff. This was suite with a kitchenette. They did provide some dishes and cooking utensils, but no silverware. We had some difficulty with ourTV and called the front desk. He said he would be there in 5 minutes, but never showed up. We finally figured it ourselves. He really didn't care about us at all.

Considering the prices of most hotel rooms in Victoria this hotel room was okay. I've stayed in better rooms, but as I said, it was okay for the price. There is a strip club on the back side and directly in front, so, you might reconsider a stay here if you have children.

Very nice room, unusual because of the hardwood floor instead of carpet, granite tile in the bathroom, very nice furniture - not your usual hotel ambiance. My room had a fridge, microwave and stove along with dishes and cutlery! Next to old railway track that was converted to a multi-use trail which leads directly to downtown - great for roller bladers. Near shopping mall and all fast food outlets and a short drive to downtown. Unfortunately, there is a liquor store on the premises which attracts some unusual characters out front. The strip club that was mentioned is around the other side and is not an issue, the issue is the liquor store. This place would be absolutely ideal if it wasn't for the liquor store!

I reserved a room with 2 queen beds. Our room had 2 double beds. The room was tiny and very dark (40 watt bulb was the brightest light in the place). One bedspread had a strong, unpleasant odor and was torn. Location was not as convenient as advertised. It was further from downtown than listed and the restaurant selection in it's vicinity was very weak. We will avoid staying here again.

Our stay at the red lion was not full of frills but a clean decent place to sleep and that is all we needed as we were gone at 6am and did not return till 10pm. Nice walking path out the back door to take you downtown if you like a long walk with nothing more than bike traffic.. great city very friendly staff at the red lion and the rate was great..

I did not make it to this hotel. It is not 2-3 miles from the downtown attractions as advertised. In addition, it's above a strip club on Douglas street. I think that all travelers with families should know this before booking.

The restaurant on the hotel grounds was fabulous!! The dim sum for lunch some of the best ever. Good quality hotel for the money.

In terms of access to Victoria or the Saanich area, the location is good. Unfortunately due to location, there is a high level of road noise. There is also a great deal of noise from the pool area. The suite was well appointed and clean. The bed was comfortable. The supplies, such as coffee and toiletries were skimpy. The chairs in the living room were good to look at but uncomfortable. For the price, it is a good value for families but I think that the noise level is a factor to be considered.

Easy to locate, very clean, good choice of facilities nearby. NA. I found the room to be very satisfactory, a little further from the inner harbor than I anticipated, but overall for our short stay it was fine.

"The room was nice; it had a kitchenette. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The hotel was on a bike/walking trail that was convenient. However, the hotel was out of town, behind a liquor store and in a busy business/industrial area."
