The hotel was a great value. The beds were comfortable, bath & body works toiletries, and good continental breakfast. The hotel does not have a restaurant or room service due to renovations to the adjacent building. We stayed at the hotel while visiting Mt. Rainer National Park. It was nice to come back and relax in the hot tub after a long day of hiking.

Location. I would not stay at this hotel again.

Paid for and booked a king room. When we got there they did not have one available. Also Ad. said a casino was next door, -Closed!

I was warry after reading some of the reveiws, but my boyfriend is stationed at Fort Lewis and the location was good and the price was right! When I got there I was relieved the lobby was nice and inviting and the man at the desk was friendly. When I got to my room it was clean and comfortable and not only were there plenty of towels in my room, but they were the big fluffy kind that you can wrap around yourself almost twice! The last day of my stay I had an issue, my boyfriend was supposed to pick me up at noon, when I had to check out, but he got stuck on post. The young woman at the front desk was so nice to me, they gave me the latest check out time they could, then they let me stay in the lobby where they have very comfortable couches and a plasma TV. While I sat in the lobby reading a book I was frequently checked on to make sure I was comforatable and that everything was ok. I intend to stay there everytime I visit Tacoma.

Staff was from the first phone call abrupt, not willing to go an extra step, let alone the "extra mile" to ensure satisfaction or our comfort. Being in a "pet-friendly" room, there was an odor, which we had called the hotel about the night prior to ensure recent renovation of the pet rooms and had been told they were newly redone. The "free" wireless internet could not be accessed with the password provided and the front desk staff said we "could bring our laptop up there to see if we were putting in the right password, because the hotel password is what it is." No offer to help beyond that. We attempted to purchase a movie using the ordering system in the room, which did not provide a price or 24-hr service to place the order and apparently the room was missing the order guide. The front desk staff was to call us back with the guide and never called back so we couldn't watch the movie. Also did not receive a wake-up call as requested, had our key cards deactivated and maid staff banging on our door, then standing there AT THE DOOR waiting for us to vacate after we had arranged for a late check-out earlier that morning. Traffic noise was high, other pets were noisy and the property itself is not in good condition. I would NEVER stay at this hotel again.

Upon entering, I was impressed with the upscale atmosphere, which carried over into the room. Friendly staff, nice amenities in the upscale room (fridge, microwave), and very comfortable bed. Look forward to staying at the Red Lion again!

Son had to report to Ft Lewis so went up to say goodbye, took a last minute deal and chose this hotel. Staff was nice. Clean lobby. Some mold in bathroom. Feet got dirty from the carpet. Windows were really dirty. Indoor pool- didn't use. Located between major freeway - about 100 yards away on a curve, and a very busy street. It was so noisy, almost umbearable at times. But noticed that most hotels in Tacoma are that way unless you are downtown.

The clean, friendly hotel was easy to find and base out of...I think a restraunt was about to be added and that would be a good thing.

The bed was very comfortable. The continental breakfast could go a little longer. The newly renovated lobby was nicely decorated, and clean. The staff was both helpful and friendly. The parking lot was safe for myself as a woman traveling alone and well lit. The rooms were clean, large enough to move around in and the bed was super comfortable!

Maybe there is a shortage of towels in Tacoma. The pool towels were the size of dishrags, in the room only 1 big towel for 4 occupants. Desk help was good cop bad cop depending on when you called. Suite prices are way to high for the area!!!!

The hotel was an ordinary, decent hotel with extraordinarily helpful, nice staff. From the front desk clerks to the maintenance man, all the staff sought out ways to make your stay pleasant and easy.

Large room. Wi-Fi connection not good. The Red lion hotel for the has excellent accommodations. One negative was the poor internet connection, and I do not have a good explanation as to why. Secondly, the water pressure was next to nothing, and I am for water conservation however could have been a little better. Other than that excellent room and staff.

good stay, however housekeeping did not leave enough towels.

Front desk clerk was VERY helpful, answered all questions with good information and gave helpful hints. Room was clean and beds compfy. Pool was great, as was the hottub, and there was actually something to watch on T.V., which is unusual when staying in a hotel! Great stay!

Most everything was satisfactory but the noise was unbearable. The fan in the room is very loud but not loud enough to drown out the bar noise across the street and the very noisy vehicles as we were on the street side. If we stayed again we would ask for a room on the other side of the building.

The hotel was in a remodel and the front door and desk were extremely difficult to gain accesss to. The internet connection was poor at best and the staff was non exsistent.

They were able to accommodate my needs at check in. I enjoyed the stay and would use this hotel in the future. Great convenient location.

This was a great room for the money. Easy access to the freeway and close to several restaurants, if you knew where to go or asked for help. The room was large and the beds were comfortable. The only down side was that we had to walk through the entire hotel to get to our rooms, and my handicapped grandparents had a hard time walking that far since they were painting the outside and the parking lot nearest the room was closed off for the painting.
