Everyone is welcome! Our rooms are all ensuite with double or twin beds. We have a free wi fi service for those with lap top pc's. The rooms are all of a high standard bringing people back again and again. Breakfast is served from 0630 to 0830 Monday to Friday and 0730 to 0930 at the week ends. Though we offer room only rates. The pub downstairs provides breakfasts and meals. Meals are available all day from the pubs extensive menu. Most of the menu is two for the price of one. The pub has the full sky sports package - though theres no need to worry about noise as the hotel is located on a different wing in the building. We suggest you try to book early as we are normally full monday to friday.

Pretty good cheap place to stay for businessOn arrival was greeted by two people at reception. Prompt and friendly check-in. The room was a good size with fairly good facilities e.g. space to hang clothes, desk, tv, tea/coffee. A little dated but nevertheless ok. Very good powerful shower although the toilet roll holder kept falling off the wall! Only other comments regarding room is that the latch on the window was broken and the TV didn't work that well. In the main though not a bad room but could do with a little work. No noise at night from the room I was in so not sure about other comments. Pub is a fairly modern pub serving simple but also cheap pub food. The only bad thing is that they seem to close the kitchen at varying times depending upon demand - so check when you return from work how long you've got to get changed! Friendly bar staff and very helpful. Plenty of parking. Local area is ok. Initially given wrong code for wireless access but that was quickly corrected and then able to use Internet (which was stable and fast). Didn't have breakfast so can't comment. I would however say you can stay in nicer places around this area for the same money.Would recommend for business person working away or short break on a journey but not for a romantic weekend.

When we got to our room we discovered the following:The toliet lid was propped against the wallThe shower would not stay on its wall bracketThere was no remote control for the TVThe bedside lights were not workingI never received the iron I requestedOn booking breakfast at extra cost and after being asked a precise time for it, when we went down the next day the place was closed & nobody there to make breakfast.

We were catching an early ferry to jersey ans so did not want breakfast, the cost of the room without breakfast was excellent

Good value for money with a modern, clean intrerior. The rooms are set back from the pub so there is no noise heard from there. On a down side, the bathroom could have been a little cleaner; there was mould on the shower head and the toilet seat had not been cleaned properly although there had been toilet cleaner put in the pan.The staff were friendly and offered help with transport links to Portsmouth.

Room had faint smell of smoke. Very good sleep was had. Not too noisy but could be perhaps as connected to a noisy pub. Needs to attract a more upmarket clientele in the pub - not ideal for single woman on her own using the pub. Cheap food and very accomodating pleasant staff.

Hotel rather run and down and in need of some refurbishment. No one available at checkin - had to wait an age for someone to eventually appear, and never did see any staff in the morning when I tried to check out - the place was like a ghost ship. Room not too bad but again could do with a lick of paint. Tea/coffe cups and spoons hadn't been washed

The room although small was very clean, it had a good bathroom with a very efficient power shower and bath . Overall it was exceptionally good value.Food was extremely good value pub food. A fairly wide choice and very inexpensive, it was well cooked and delivered fast and hot to the table. The hotel and pub although co-located are separate in that you have to order and pay for breakfast in advance and everything has to be paid for immediately - you cannot charge to the room. There was no hair drier or iron available for us to use at the time that we needed one, so I would advise that you take your own if you are planning to stay.\r\n\r\nManager Response\r\n\r\nwe have 1x hair dryer and 2 irons and ironing boards

the hotel was good value for the money. the staff friendly and helpfull. the room was clean and tidy but a few things require attention in the bathroom.

Bathroom door handle was broken. Toilet roll holder was broken & on the floor. Bathroom extractor fan was extremely noisy. Shower head was caked in thick limescale. I have stayed here in the past, but feel the attention to detail could be improved. Also, the quality of the pub has changed which is ok if you like s huge flat screens. I found the male customers to be a little intimidating. I prefered the style of the hotel before it was 'updated'.

Pub grub was ok, breakfast was expensive, and, due to a mix up, (we thought we said 8am, hotel thought we said 8.30) was late, the cleaner got us cereals and then got a member of staff out of bed. On the first night we paid only £25 as a late booking, but for the second night we paid £55 which I think was expensive for the facilities we had.

Easy to find, good parking. Rooms clean and well equipped (soap, towels, tea & coffee etc) but a few snags: Missing bulb in one of the bedside lights; no coat hangers; broken window stay; and a most peculiar smell in the bathroom. Also the hotel advertises free WiFi, but doesn't tell you which WiFi service to select on your laptop. We were only staying for one night so didn't make a big thing of it, but would have if staying longer. We were going to tell them when we left in the morning, but after breakfast (freshly cooked, very nice) there was no-one around.

The breakfast was £6.00 per person and was good value. The hotel was very close to motorway and quite easy to find. The only thing that let the hotel down was the cleanliness of the rooms, although modern they could do with a good dust and fettle.

Lovely modern, clean pub. Food was good, the old two for one deal that normally puts me off if i'm on my own. The room was nice and clean although there was no remote control for the tv and the extractor fan in the bathroom sounded like an aircraft landing (for two hours).

good value for money. the room was comfortable , the only problem being a noisy extractor fan.evening meals are served on a two for one basis and extremely good value if both of you want the same meal but not so if you travel alone.

Not happy with the service we sat down to our meal at 7.10 and asked for a sweet at 8.04pm to be told no the kitchen is closedBreakfast could be a lot better for £6.00

Typical Pub food, good value, as a 2 for 1 offer was in operation. One hitch, we were not told that we had to order breakfast the night before, so when we went to eat, there was no food available.

Stayed here over night from the ferry. The hotel is on a main road and suffers from traffic noise until the traffic dies down. (could do with double glazing) The room was clean, spacious, modern, and was well decorated, had tea making facilities, TV etc. We did not dine there but they offer two for one meals. We would use it again next time we are using Portsmouth to go to France. They also have guest beers as well. It has been recently renovated and the bar is modem and nice, It is about 5 to 10 minutes drive to the cross channel ferry terminal. Opposite the pub is Cosham high street with shops and a Weatherspoons pub just handy for breakfast

Rather noisy as it was over a pub and the room very extremely hot and sweaty!
