Good bed and quite room. Staff were helpful and arranged a small fridge upon our arrival. Room was well worn and needed an update. Disappointed in the room for a 3 star hotel. Room needs major updating. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable and room was quite. Staff brought us a small fridge and microwave immediately after we requested a fridge and there was no charge. Good location for visiting Olympic National Park or using the Victoria ferry. While we did not use their restaurant, prices were reasonable.

The Pros ? There are two buildings on this property. One building has the doors facing the parking lot. The other building has the doors facing a hallway ? which was our building. When we walked into the room, we were very pleasantly surprised as it was very clean and totally updated. High speed wireless Internet was available with the rate which was very convenient. The hotel sits along the waterfront and the walk along the water was very nice. The Cons ? When you walked in the lobby and hallway area of the building we were in, the carpet is very old and worn and needs some updating. Although we were generally pleased with our room, there was no refrigerator and microwave in the room. We travel a lot and stay in both budget hotels and high end hotels. We find that these amenities are pretty much basic features in the room. Since we travel with a small child, we always have snacks and/or drinks that we need to keep cold or to heat up.

A clean neat and convenient place to stay over night while waiting to board ferry to Victoria. Room was smelly. Nice convenient stay to catch the morning ferry to Victoria. Just right across the street and has nice restaurant on sight.

Comfortable beds, good location, responsive staff, spacious bathrooms. Right on the waterfront, you can walk to restaurants (we ate at the Indian one across the street - delicious!), also a Thai restaurant we didn't try. You can walk to a beachfront playground and marine center that's open in the summer, also a walking path along the beach. A few things in the room: bathroom door didn't close completely, burned out lightbulb above vanity, dirty bathroom mirror when we checked in. We called front desk about the mirror and they cleaned it right away and apologized. Not top of the line, but certainly good enough for a great night's sleep on our way to Victoria. Easy driving distance to parts of Olympic National Park and a Safeway grocery nearby to pick up picnic lunch stuff. Smells a little fishy outside at times, I guess that comes with the territory.

The staff was very accommodating. Our family felt very comfortable and taken care of by the staff.

I stayed 07/29/07 to 08/12/07. Room was very clean & nice. several days during my stay the rooms were not properly cleaned. The keys are a chronic problem I am sure it must be corrected before winter. location is very nice. people at front desk are very helpful.

Convenient to Ferry Terminal. Upstairs rooms are generally quieter- so we prefer 2nd story.

The Red Lion was a pleasant surprise for us. We've never really had a family vacation. My 70 year old mother, my teenage daughters and I, (Mom), spent a week in the Olympic National Park. We had a disaster at the Lake Quinault Lodge but the Red Lion in Port Angeles was great. The card keys didn't work. This is my pet peeve and we had to return to the lobby on two separate occasions. Also, the food in the restaurant does not warrant the extravagant price. Sorry. I loved the wait staff though.

Great location by the ferry terminal. A good option for anyone wanting a hotel in a location ideal for ferry travel and within walking distance to restaurants.

Very good location right off the main road through town and beside the ferry terminal. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms quite nice but a little dated. Overall a decent place but somewhat overpriced for what you get. (Then again everything seems pricey in Port Angeles in the Summer!)

Customer services; attentiveness of staff. Felt like an apartment; didn't feel I got what I paid for.

Pretty much everything. First of all it's a motel. The room smelled like mildew and the bath tub was dirty. Definitely not worth the night I paid. For what I got I could have stayed at an economy motel. The crab house restaurant had only 1 or 2 crab items on the menu so we didn't even eat there. I had to make 3 trips back to the front desk because every time we left our room the keys wouldn't work.

Location. Sheets werenot clean! Loud obnoxious guests. Long wait times to check and check out. Other guests thought our room was the laundry room and constantly tried to enter.

The location next to the ocean. Would have been nice to have a continental breakfast.

The staff was very friendly and offered maps of the area and information about local hiking trails and parks. Double bathroom sinks! There was no fridge in the room and the porch had garbage that stunk in the trash can that wasn't emptied before or during our 2 night stay.

Large spacious rooms. Dated interiors. The hotel is located directly on the waterfront, though less than half of the rooms have waterfront views. The decor is straight out of the 70's with few revisions though it does get marks for being fairly clean. The rooms are large and spacious. If this place had a decor makeover and some improved public spaces or amenities I think it could easily be a 4 star rating, until then I'd give it a 2.

Convenient, beautiful view of the water. Bathroom wasn't as clean as I would have liked. Their were traces of the last guest on the floor and sink area.

Nice view. Housekeeping was average and no elevators. Had to make several trips to and from the room with luggage as there are no elevators. Housekeeping was less then average. Dirty glasses left there and not cleaned. Friendly staff though.

The rooms overlooking the water was wonderful. The toilet had not been cleaned. It was dirty.
