We came to Seattle for a shopping weekend and had a great time. The staff at the Red Lion were very friendly and had some wonderful recommendations for dinner. We were very happy with the location as we only had a short walk to all of the shops.

The bed's here are the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on! So comfortable that I actually asked the front office staff the make of the bed so I can look into getting one here at home. The hotel was very neutrally located and very quiet, only bad comment on the hotel is that the front office staff didn't give us the right directions two or three times during our stay.

Cannot be beat. Walking distance to everything. Only drawback is parking fee... per day. If only interest is downtown events, take a shuttle. You won't need a car and can save big bucks for Parking Fees. AVIS location a few blocks down street if you want to see Ranier....day trip fee only.

The hotel's location was within walking distance to most of the major points of interest in the city. Excellent location. I would definitely stay at the Red Lion again and would recommend it to friends and family. Hint: There is a bus (line 194) that departs from Sea-Tac Aiport and drops you off two blocks from the hotel. The fee is 1.75. If you are on a budget, I would recommend taking this method of public transportation. It's worth it.

Staff was friendly, rooms are clean and spacious, pillowtop beds are great!! In the midst of downtown, walking distance to all the sites you couldn't ask for a better location. The Terrace Garden (restaurant hotel), was a little pricey. Would opt to eat somewhere else if it wasn't raining. Elephant Castle is located at the base of the hotel.

the room did not have a good view. it was not worth the money. i could have stayed at a motel 6 and had the same quality. when packing to leave, my husband checked under the bed to make sure we were not leaving anything. under the bed he found sexual material for a man which made me feel like the room was dirty. i will not stay at a red lion again.

Excellently clean rooms, very spacious (though the decor tend to be too much on the brown side), and right in the middle of downtown shopping and very close tot he monorail.

The hotel was recently remodeled and very clean. I was told the building used to be a bank, so its not as large as you would imagine but the rooms and bathrooms were a great size. The staff was helpful. My only complaint was that the air conditiioning wasn't extrememly cold, but we were there on the hottest day of the year. Its a great location in the middle of downtown. You can walk to the Pike Place Market, the monorail, and several shopping malls. There is also a great restaurant and coffee shop on the same block. I would stay again.

My husband and I stayed at the Red Lion 1 night, before our Cruise, Sept.1st 07, It is a wonderful Hotel. We had no complaints. Our room was very comfortable, roomy,and clean.We had drinks at the bars in both of the resturants, and apitisers at one bar, everything was excellent. Had breakfast in the resturant downstairs,and it was very good. Close to Pikes Market. We walked the area and felt very safe. It is also close to the Pier. Would stay there again and recommend to others.

Great location--a five minute walk to the Pike Place Market. Across from City Center, which has a nice Italian restaurant (Palomino). Desk staff is especially helpful. Rooms are large and well-maintained, many with great views.

The overall experience at this hotel was excellent. The room was clean, all utilities worked very well and the staff was exceptionally responsive. This is one of the best hotel's I have stayed at in the last four years.

We stayed here five days for a nice vacation. Be prepared if you have a lot of luggage, there is no curb assistance cab just drops you off, once inside the one bellman pretty much ignored us. Front desk people seemed hesitant and overwhelmed, although polite. . Hotel has a great location & higher floors have a fabulous view from the Western windows. Safe neighborhood, great shopping and restaurants all around, although the hotel restaurant was AWFUL. Room clean, bed very comfortable. Biggest drawback was unannounced window repairs which were extremely loud and began each day at 8:00 am. Close to Pike's Market and other attractions. Hotel pretty quiet, I'd stay there again. Grade B+ - good value for the money

Overall -somewhat satisfied. Service etc was good. Everyone positive. I asked for directions to the Catholic Church and he said I could walk- about 8 blocks. It was a good walk till I got to Columbia Ave where he told me to turn. I then had to walk up a gigantic Hill to the Church. I had to go under the underpass where all the homeless were.It stunk and I could have been in harms way. I got to the church finally out of breath. I am 73 years old and I think he should have recommended a taxis. Going back was easy and I went a different way staight down into and close to the hotel. My light bulb in my bathroom was out and I thought they would replace without me asking, It never got done. It was nice to be close to Convention Center and a great coffee, snack shop across the street. I also think the business center should not be a charge. I did not use it and used the library and Convention center because there was no charge just to get my E-Mail.

We booked a "executive level waterfron view room" as a prepaid special at the Red Lion. I had never booked a prepaid special and wondered if we would get a room that showed a sliver of the water if you crained your neck. Well, when we entered the room - there was Puget Sound in all its glory. I spend the first 15 minutes in the room simply sitting in the comfy chair at the window watching the activies on the Sound. The Red Lion is only about 4 blocks from Pike Market. We could see it from our room. This was a great stay. The room itself was awsome. The price was phenomenal. We would do this again, and again, and again....

We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel. We got it for such a great deal that we kinda expected it to be kinda shady but it was one of the nicest we stayed in. It was my mother and grandmother on the trip and all of had a wonderful stay in the Red Lion. The location is great for shopping or going down to the pier. Also the tram is not far away for the Space Needle. There is no need to rent a car since everything in the city is within walking distance.
