New rooms, but if you book on a third-party website, they put you in the old rooms and they are dark and have the smallest TV's.

I liked the television choices and the TV. The staff was unwilling to be helpful.

The room seemed clean enough. The wireless access was very slow. I couldn't do any work. The best thing is they allow pets. Overall the place just needs to be updated.

I had read before that there was excessive smoking in the hotel, but I found it acceptable. I did have a problem with my room location, which was about a "block" from the casino. The hotel is built horizontally, not vertically, so access to the casino, restaurants and other facilities can be very inconvenient if your room is at the other end of the hotel. Mine was!

Location. Overwhelming smoke stench. The motel is average, the casino OK, but the hallways to the rooms are connected to the casino and you either have to love stale smoke, or be very good at holding your breath. I will not stay here again. Most casinos can exchange stale air and make the areas acceptable. Not this Red Lion!

This hotel was just barely OK. The door to our room didn't open, the handle fell off and it took us 45 min just to get in after check in. Once inside the room the phone didn't work and our light in the bathroom rattled constantly. The staff was friendly & there is a Starbucks for am coffee, but that was it on the good side.

The hotel was in a great location, especially for people traveling. Next to freeway exits, but no noise from the freeway. Located across the street from a bank, and shopping area. So if you don't feel like gambling, you can get out and walk. In the dining area, you had a choice of buffet or ordering a meal, which was great. Usually it is separate, but this made it easier. Would be great for families, so everyone could get what they want, and still be able to eat together.

Good location, very nice room. The food in the restaurant was bad. Very fast check in, the parking was terrible, the room that we had was very nice, I did not like the restaurant at all. I would stay there again but go somewhere else to eat.

Even the non-smoking rooms smell of smoke. In addition, the pool is actually down the road at another hotel. We selected this hotel for the pool and then didn't use it because it was not clear where it was. No maps of facilities either.

The Red Lion Elko was very nice. The rooms were good sized and we all enjoyed our stay. The wait at the check in desk was a bit long though.

It was pet friendly. Staff was not friendly. The front desk night person was not very friendly but the day person was great. The room was nice, it was clean and pet friendly. The cleaning staff was very friendly. The restaurant was just ok the restaurant staff was more in to talking to each other and the regular guest than helping others.

Red Lion Hotel & Casino Elko, ELKO, NV was the most expensive cheap room I have stayed in in the last 6 months. The bathroom had very nice amenities such as soap and shampoo and the shower. The beds were comfortable, but the cooling system was terrible. The pool was very small for the size of the hotel. The T.V. was very small and did not work well. This place had a casino which had very tight slot machines along with a minimal sportsbook.

Friendly and comfortable. The fact that there was only one restaurant. Our stay was comfortable. The hotel only had one restaurant (buffet)? Would have like another choice of eatery without leaving the casino.

I was awakened at 6:00AM to hammering, drilling, and heavy footsteps above me. I called down to the front desk and was informed they were remodeling the third floor. I asked, at 6AM? I was told they have tried to tell them not to do this. I asked if someone could go and tell them to stop until a more resonable hour and was told theyhad noone available. I asked to be moved and was told the computers were down and they could move me whenthey came back online. No one ever followed up. Why they would take reservations for rooms in the wing on the floor below the remodeling is beyond me.

Good food, casino. Construction was going on. I would recommend it to others.

It was clean and nice. It did not have a fridge. Not many cable channels. It was nice and clean, beds were comfortable.

I could find it right away, and did not have a hassle in check in. Some construction going on. It's great for a short overnight stay. Loose slots, good food and a very clean hotel despite all the construction.

Location. Room was dingy and dirty. Location sells this hotel. Over the years the cleanliness and overall quality of the establishment has declined greatly.

Spacious room, friendly staff. Exterior appearance. The hotel was great. Public areas were clean and well-appointed. The room was large, spacious, and comfortable. Parking is close to the rooms. The prices for food and drinks are reasonable. The hotel is convenient (across the street) to fast food, grocery, gasoline, and clothing if need be.

Very friendly staff. Remodeling was being done in rooms next to us and a lot of chemical odors in hallways. Real nice motel and except for my comments above we were very pleased with the location and staff.
