I went for a college orientation. The hotel is small and older. It had the hardest beds I have ever experienced. The maid "forgot" to do my room the first day. It was a good price, but not sure it was worth it. No alarm clock, no hairdryer.

Man at desk was very nice. Dirty appearance, no towels in room. Had to get ice out with your hands, no scoop. Bathroom tile had been painted over poorly and had run down the tile. Old and dirty building not being kept up well.

It was a bit noisy, poorly cleaned, and quite run down. The staff was friendly, but not really 'in control' of the facility; for example, they were doing renovations, and the crew was staying at the place.

Nothing. Hotel room was shabby and not too clean. Drape hanging off window. Shower did not work. Checking in around 10pm, tookverylongfor someone to come to front desk, no one wasthere when checking out. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. Someone tried to break into room around 1am.

The exterior and hallways were frightening but the room was huge and clean. The bathroom was okay (clean but a little run-down). The wi-fi never worked but I think that was being addressed...

Near to the mall, gas station and public transportation and the mall. It is very old and the rugs are musty and dirty, the staff does not know much about anything and except for cleaning person who vaccummed non-chalant. The rooms are definitely very old and musty, there were wires everywhere and old and dingy everything and if you are on a budget for a fast trip like I was for a training it is definitely cheap, I took my kid with me and felt comfortable letting him make a mess which I tried to clean up best I could and I got cheap coffee and donuts and figured my way around thanks to little help from the staff. If you complain they shrug their shoulders, great place for a cheap quick meeting or training, def. nothing luxurious and expect dingy musty rugs and at least the room was somewhat clean. I was scared of the rug, the dirt on my fridge and the fruit punch like stain on the walls, and the walking closet I got, The cleaning guy vacuumed when requested and I kept things neat did what I had to do and thank god I slept and left!

I spent one night in this hotel and was displeased with the cleanliness and lack of accommodations in the room. According to my reservation I should have at least had a hairdryer, but did not. The bath towels were small and very worn looking, and the bathroom was also very small. The carpeting was nice. The walls were very thin and I could quite clearly hear the noise of neighboring guests, which was quite distracting. This hotel is worth it if your looking for something cheap, but I would advise spending a few more dollars in order to have a more pleasant stay.

There is nothing to recommend this hotel. The hotel was old and outdated. It is in need of a major spruce up. The hotel is surrounded by nicer chain hotels at comparable prices. The building itself is easily 40 or more years old and has not be updated. I would not recommend this hotel.

The bathtub had rust spots, and nasty under the bath mat. The walls had spot where paint had come off. They did state they were remodeling, but they should not even have people staying in rooms like this. Poor experience overall.

Conveniently located in one of the main avenues in Albany. Poor conservation, strong smoke/cigarrete smell (even in non-smoking areas), poor heating during night.

Like being in the bates motel lousy service The hotel is in renovation, but that doesn't expain the grimy rooms, dirty hallways, bad paint smells, unstable elevator and unclean bed linens

The king size bed was amazingly comfortable and elegant with its 4 posts. The bathroom was poor, halls/lobby/etc were in need of renovations.

Very attentive, helpful, and friendly staff. Room was attractive, clean, and comfortable. Convenient location to SUNY Albany Campus, and highway to go to Troy for girls' basketball State Tournament. Close to eateries. Hallways are an unattractive green with dark doors. Signs stated that hotel was being redecorated.(?) I WOULD stay again because I may continue to visit the SUNY campus.

It was old and dirty. New hotel going up next door. This one should have been torn-down first. Backdoor didn't fit in frame; so it couldn't be locked for security purposes. Frame of door room had been busted open and was fixed somewhat. Rooms were not yet made up for new occupants by 5 PM.

I stayed with my 3 children on our way home from a long trip. We were exhausted, and the quick check-in with the friendly staff was most appreciated! The room was clean and comfortable and the price was right. It was just what we needed.

Hotel clerk was very helpful. Location to Suny Albany. Needs to be updated and extremely old. Air conditioning did not work well. Hotel is very old and needs to be updated in every area especially air conditioning system. The parking lot is a mess due to the construction of a new hotel next door. Dirt everywhere.

Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Room, halls, elevator, lobby, etc. all showed signs of their age. Well worn, but clean. SUNY Albany was literally across the street. Very convenient. Would stay again.

Location. Old and rundown. Good location. Friendly & helpful staff. Rooms are so so.

It was, generally speaking, very good value for money. I needed a place to sleep before and after the Irishfest. Since I was going to spend almost all my time at the festival, I didn't need a lot of frills when it came to the hotel, as long as it was clean and safe, and the Red Carpet was excellent in that respect. I just wish they'd made the beds when they came in to switch the towels

We found the room to be nicely furnished. We were surprised to find a King sized four poster bed. The upholstered bench was wonderful for holding open suitcases. The traditional decor was tasteful. The bathroom had a few cosmetic issues but everything was clean and in good working order. Although the room had a refrigerator and microwave, it did not have a coffee pot but coffee was available in the lobby (as well as doughnuts in the morning). Very nice for the price!
