We were disappointed with the location on a busy road, probably made worse due to construction. It was very hard to navigate to and from due to Jersey barriers. Overall, the price was right, the room was clean and okay for an overnight stay. Wouldn't want to stay more than one night.

Best price. Cheaper at the hotel for one bed. Had to pay an extra day when I arrived early, hookers on the street within a block.

We stayed at this hotel to visit NY City. The staff was very friendly and informative about transportation into the city. Price was great compared to staying in Manhattan. Took the bus in daily for $2.50 (saving the $8.00 toll for the bridge plus parking in the city which could cost about $65.00). Easy access to the bus and everyone was friendly and helpful with directions. Room was very clean and comfortable. Recommended to my friends and will be planning another trip soon!

It was somewhere to stay, although not to my satisfaction. The treatment of the desk clerk upon signing in. The desk clerk was very rude. Several young people were in a verbal fight with the desk clerk.

I was there on business, it was close to the PATH trains and NYC. It was terrible. The neighborhood is poor, the rooms are tired and my sheets didn't look clean. A very fitfull night' s sleep with the constant traffic noise outside my door. I will drive a half hour and spend a hundred dollars more in order to get a clean room in a good location. Only stay there if you feel adventurous.

The staff was nice. The location made it super quick to drive into the city. However, the first night our toilet didn't work and by the time we found out it was too late to do anything about it. And the bathroom had ants. 8 to 10 little ones at a time. What was strange is they weren't in the bedroom, just on the bathroom counters and in the shower. Based on the ants alone I would not recommend dealing with it unless they've cleaned that problem up. If it weren't for that, the stay would have been next to flawless.

Affordable. Chain lock missing from door. The chain lock was missing from the door and even with the dead bolt engaged both of my children were able to open the door. Overall, it was affordable and comfortable and close to the major highways.

In all honesty, this place was horrible. Ive been to my fair share of horrid hotels but this by far has been the worse. not only is the location bad but the at 12 in the morning you hear children running and screaming as if it were a morning playground. the place doesnt feel too stable either as when the kids ran or a door shut i could feel it from inside my room. the rooms are decent by standards. although every second of the night i felt as if someone was trying to break into our room. one night here was enough for me before i decided i would rather drop several hundred more dollars than stay in a place cheap and horrible.

The Red Carpet Inn Jersy City was compforable and reasonable for the price and location. The location was within walking distance of public transportaion that was very affordable and safe ride into New York. Not much around the area for food, small diner on corner, good hamburgers. Staff friendly and helpful. If looking to save some money worth looking in to.

The Red Carpet Inn in Jersey City, NJ is truly a value for all that come to see the surrounding area. The room is very spacious and clean. The neighborhood is friendly and the bus to Manhattan is very close.

The Red Carpet Inn in Jersey City New Jersey has ground and first floor and No elevators. We had to carry our Suitcases upstairs through the staircase which is made of Iron and made a lot of noise.The Key card failed to work twice and we hade to run to the Reception to get new ones. There was no Hot water for taking a Shower.It was 40 degree outside.The Internet in the did not work at all.I had to go to the Reception are a to get connected.It was a big Hassle.The Path Train Station was not very near.The Danish served for the Breakfast was at least two days old and I had to throw it away.Because of the above I would neither go to that Hotel again nor recommend for anybody

Staff was friendly. The room was very dirty/dingy. The location was good for my needs. The hotel lobby was clean, but the room was filthy. The staff was friendly/helpful. However, I don't think I'll stay there again.

I was looking for a safe hotel to bring my family to New York City with me. Public transit was convenient(the Bus Gate 51, will bring you to Time Square in 20 minutes)and therefore, the Red Carpet was a good option to me. The room was clean and comfy, but the neighborhood is noisy.

Quick late night check-in. The room was small but clean and had everything we needed. Small clean room with friendly staff, the area of town was a little questionable. The parking lot was well lit and close to the room.
