The Red Carpet Inn is conveniently located near all local attractions, shopping and theatres. It is also less than two miles from the University Of Virginia and a ten-to-fifteen minute drive from Thomas Jefferson's home, Monticello. The Inn features all ground floor accommodations with parking in front of rooms. The motel has one and two bedded rooms and also a limited number of kitchenettes and executive rooms. Both smoking and non-smoking rooms are available. Each room has a remote controlled 25-inch Zenith Color TVs with 65 cable channels, HBO and ESPN 1 and 2. A lovely outdoor pool with the hours of operation of 9am till 10pm is available to our guests from May until Labor Day. The Red Carpet Inn is locally owned and operated. We pride ourselves on our personal service and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Was in town to run a marathon. Everything went okay but late checkout (offered sometimes when marathons are being run) was not possible because of weekend crowds. Not a big deal but a bit disappointing.

In town for the weeked for the DMB show - located close to downtown, UVA, Monticello, etc. Open the door to your room and welcome to 1968 - which is probably the last time the carpets were cleaned. Room did not have basic amenities such as shampoo, clock, and had poor lighting. It also did not have hair dryer, but we were able to get one from the front desk when requested. Room was so musty, we had to buy a can of "Febreze" at the local store and spray the room down. After that the odor seemed to subside for the most part. Only two small pillows for a queen sized bed. Free WiFi worked sporadically at best - kept having to log back on as the connection dropped frequently. On the plus side - the A/C worked well and the staff was friendly and helpful. Overall the experience was not up to par from what would be expected from a moderately priced hotel room.

Nicely kept lower end hotel. Last minute planning got us here and we were suprised at how clean that it was. Would have no problem returning.

I pretty much got what I paid for. Service and staff okay, nothing exceptional either way. Bed somewhat saggy, bathroom a little dingy, sheets a little uncomfortable.
