The price and location met my needs. I used it for sleeping only. Call your own cab when you're leaving. The ride back to the airport was by a private (a relative, I think) cabbie and cost significantly more than the ride from the airport.

Walls, carpet andfurniture were dirty. The lobby looked like the only clean part of the hotel. The room we stayed in looked like they were fixing it up and have not completed it.

Although advertised, we had no jacuzzi or refrigerator when we got to the room. There was an ironing board but no iron. The room was also quite small and some of the light bulbs were blown out. Also, when I was trying to find a nice restaurant and bar, all the phone books in the room were from Florida and New Jersey....we were staying in New York. Though we left early in the morning, we were not allowed to check-in until 2pm, and were turned away when we got there.

The guy at the front desk. Need more towels and pillows.

I was at this hotel just for a weekend. First of all... the location is not great, the area doesn't look super safe, we didn't have any problems though. The staff is not friendly at all, but they're not mean either. The donuts and bagels in the morning are a plus!! Probably the only thing I could say I liked. If you are counting on using the subway for transportation please make sure that the L train (which is the one across the street form this hotel) is working!! During my stay, this train wasn't working and I had a really hard time to get to Manhattan. The rooms are not super clean, but they're fine. The TV has like 10 channels only but it has HBO. Oh... and the room service people don't knock on the door, they just go into the room and when you tell them to come later or whatever, they still try to come into the room... It was the weirdest thing!!

Cheap and had continental breakfast, close to subway. Bathtub not scrubbed, sheets had burn on them. Okay. I was pleased with the staff and the location to subway entrance.

The service was terrible. The hotel is cheaper for a reason, You walk in and the attend is behind a barrier. You need to pay up front for your stay. The rent the room by the hour. Not suitable for kids or families.

Right next to the subway. Prefect for only sleeping, which was all I needed it for. I was next to lobby, which was kind ofloud in the morning. Small breakfast (donuts and coffee), right next to the subway(L train, Halsey St Station). Perfect for only being there to sleep.

Red Carpet Inn is conveniently located for people who are interested in sightseeing. The subway station is literally next door to the hotel. The hotel is clean; the staff is friendly. Our room was a little bit too small and there was no closet. Otherwise it's a good accommodation for reasonable price.

The location and free parking. No lobby seating and the room was run down. Damaged carpet, ceilings, fixtures etc. This hotel is old and run down. The rooms are uncomfortably tiny and the ceilings, bedding, carpet, and fixtures are dirty and damaged. I would not stay here again.

Red Carpet Inn Brooklyn, Brooklyn, New York is one of the best solutions for those who want to visit NYCity without huge budget. For your information, the hotel is located above a station of Subway L line! Yes, above! You may hear some subway sound and that subway smell, because it is above the subway station, but ultimate convenience for out-of-town visitors. This hotel only give you a modest place to sleep, what else do you need?

Bad service, no seats in lobby, dirty rooms, no working phone, no working shower, etc. This was the most horrible experience I've ever experienced when traveling. People in reception are very disgusting and have no service attitude. From the moment we arrived it was really a nightmare. No waiting area in the front office (no seats), rude people when asking for things that were supposed to be offered. Dirty sheets, not working shower, not working phone, no iron, no working blow dryer.

The Red Carpet is very affordable for it to be in Brooklyn, N.Y.

It was clean. The location, people could see in your windows too easily. Overall the stay was nice under the circumstances for the trip. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The only dislike was the room's location people could easily see through the window, very uncomfortable.

We stayed here because it was right next to the subway station. We could just walk outside the hotel and down the stairs to the subway for Manhattan. It was easily accessible from John Wayne Airport and only 30 minutes from Manhattan. There are two good restaurants across the street- one Chinese and one Latin. I'll stay here again on my next trip to New York City.

The train station is very near. The hotel is ok, is near of Manhattan like 30 minutes by train. Also the train station is next to the hotel. It was great!

Very rude employees, liars and cheats. Not worth it.

Places to get a fast meal across the street. No microwave oven or small refrigerator in the room. Small lobby, no information when checking in. This hotel is far less than one would expect for the price they charge. The person at the desk is not friendly or does not disperse any information about the hotel, breakfast or the city. The towels are poor quality. I have stayed in much better hotels and receive better service for far less money. I would not return to that hotel.
Date of Stay:
August, 2008
Stained rugs, dirty walls, hair in the shower, stained sheets, falty/clogged sink drain, no cable/sat, and the attendants can hardly speek english. Beside all of the cons listed above, there are actually a couple of pros. Secured lot with cameras, Subway stop right in front of the hotel (pretty much get off an walk right into the parking lot) and that is about it.
Date of Stay:
October, 2008
It was clean and tidy and quiet forI stayed on the 3rd floor. They do not call me a taxi and asked for a flat rate which is a little higher than a taxi and no company's name.
