The hotel's website does not do it justice. The place was modern and clean and comfortable, with WIFI access throughout the hotel. We were a couple, we loved the bath/shower. Staff of hotel very accommodating, and they were careful to meet our request for no feather pillows. Very pricey in-room breakfast--better at buffet or out in neighborhood.

Only criticism not the fault of the hotel was the early arrival at 6.00 of the dray wagons unloading outside the hotel.

Great locations with lots of eating establishments close by some with a 15% discount for hotel guests. Room was neat and clean, the bathroom was a bit on the small side with no bath just a shower. Room was air-conditioned with free bottled water, tea coffee etc. The hotel lobby and bar are luxurious, a nice place to relax and enjoy a coffee and read the papers.

I didn't arrive there until 11.45pm and left again 8.30am so didn't make much use of facilities other than my room. The room was clean and quite spacious for London. Nice toiletries in the bathroom with fluffy white towels. There was even a real teapot but only criticism was 2 teabags is not enough to have a cup in the evening and again the next morning. Hotel is in a side street about 3 mins walk from Tottenham Court end of Oxford Street, so really central. Would definitely stay here again.

First of all the hotel was overly charged. It was a very tiny room with an improper air conditioning system. Even on max fan speed, it never could manage to bring down the temperature of the room below 25 degree centigrade. The flush in the toilet was not working. The door bell was not working. The bathroom was even tinier.

I arrived quite late at short notice, but the staff were very helpful and accomodating even though I had to check out very early the following morning. The room was very good quality and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. I didn't eat there so I can't comment on the food.

Having been based in London for the last two months, I have made best effort to experience the delights of the London Hotel scene! The Rathbone is clean, offers accommodating staff and is commuter friendly (two local underground stations nearby). However, the hotel decor is a little tired and dated and the room itself lacked many of the expected extras such as plasma TV, minibar and ironing board which appear to be on offer at other hotels around the city for the same value. Furthermore, the room was quite small.Should you be searching for traditional, then the Rathbone would suit. Conversely, if you are chasing contemporary then look elsewhere...

Generally very pleasant hotel - staff friendly and helpful, room very pleasant, if compact. Reasonably quiet for central London, and, at this price, quite good value for the area. We were put off by the breakfast price of £18.95 + vat. per person, and took advice from previous Late Room's guests and walked round the corner to Goodge St. where the Sandwicheria provided us with a fresh breakfast with toast, coffee, juice and one full breakfast for £10! Proximity to Theatreland is a real plus, and there are plenty of places to eat nearby. Would definitely stay again.

Since it is found on a little back-street, it is nice and quiet. The room was a little small but very comfortable. Staff nice and friendly.

Very good location is within five minutes walk to Oxford St and Tottencourt Rd. Lots of restaurants within 2 minutes of hotel. Good wireless service and television coverage. Biggest downside is the noise if you are overlooking the road especially since I had to leave the windows open to get cooler air.

The hotel had an excellent location, however the quality of the room was very disappointing. I would question as to how much time had been spent in preparing the room prior to our arrival as there were no cups in the room and both the boxes which should have contained shower cups were empty. Whilst having a drink in the bar we found ourselves being joined by a mouse who appeared from behind the curtains before disapearing once again. When we informed the bar man he expresed his surprise but actually did nothing more than walk around the room for approximately thirty seconds waving a duster rather like a morris dancer! Definitely not a hotel that I would recommend to a friend!

A very nice hotel in an excellent location. The room was splendid. My only problem was with the shower... it was so so fierce. I dont mind a power shower but having to stand at the far end of the bath to get out of its way was somewhat extreme !The head couldnt be adjusted in any way, to angle it differently. Other than that I will certainly stay there again.

Lovely hotel hidden away near Tottenham Court Rd. If you can persuade the charming staff to reserve you an inward facing room, you will enjoy a peaceful evening in a nice hotel.
