Appalling accomodationthe room and corridor stankthe room was filthy - carpets not hoovered - fingerprints all over doors (I have pictures)the bed linen was not cleanthe room was in a very poor state of decorationThe door lock broke, meaning I couldn't get back into my room after breakfastThis is the worst hotel and value for money I have ever encountered, only endured beacuase I checked in too late to be able to go out and find another hotel

A hidden gem at a great price. This hotel takes itself very seriously and succeeds. Location is also great, which took me a bit by surprise.

Classy London 4 starDespite recommendations from a regular user, this was my first visit. I use London 4 star hotels most weeks, and this was one of the best

Well located for West End attractions. Rooms are small but well-kept.

A great hotel in a great location! As the title says this hotel is fantastic in a really great location. Set on a fairly quiet side street with about 10 pubs within a few minutes walk (nice pubs too, not the expensive west end type pubs). Only 2 mins walk from Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road with Soho, Chinatown and the Leicester Square only about 10-20 mins walk. This was the 2nd time i had stayed at the hotel and we will certainly be returning again later this year.

Great location, although very dated, tired & quite expensive!I choose this hotel due to the location and some positive feedback on Laterooms and, although not unhappy, did feel a little disappointed. The venue has a fabulous location, just off Oxford Street, with many attractions & quality resturants just a short walk away. If you're happy on your feet however and enjoy a good stroll, then many of the top 'touristy' sites can be reached by foot. Not far from Shaftsbury Avenue either, so great for the threatre too. Plus only a reasonable walk from Marylebone as well, which means you can pretty much avoid the underground network (as we did).My initial view of the hotel was positive, with the exterior and lobby being very impressive (only drawback was the rather noisey pub, directly opposite the main entrance). Unfortunately, our room was - at best - basic, with very tired decor and the bathroom facility only 'just' clean. There were cracks in the bathroom tiling; the pictureframes were pealing and the carpet was worn. We paid £329 for two nights, which we felt was very expensive for the actual quality of the accomodation offered, but I guess that you're really paying for the location rather the hotel itself! (my excuse!!).Yes, we would stay here again and would recommend to friends, simply because of the wonderful location, but would definately advise them what should be expected from the room itself! (ie. not alot!).

poor qualityThere are a lot nicer places to stay in London for the money that we spent ... Rooms are tired and dated and house keeping clearly do not have attention to detail with ripped sheets and dirty / dusty surfaces. When you lie down in the bath you can see how disgusting and dirty the underneath of the sink area is.Dont expect a relaxing lie in as the glass collector arrives around 8 am each morning and the crashing of used glass is heard for 30 mins of impossible torture. The only benefit is the location !Also .. I stay in hotels and locations all over the world and numerous properties in London .. This is the only hotel where they refused to take my full payment on check-in stating that they could only authorise my card as I may have extras ... When I stated that I didnt want breakfast or extras I was told that didnt matter and my card was authorised for an extra £60 over my room rate. I explained that normally I can just pay the full amount on check-in and not need to que to check out like we had to on the last day !!!..... The young lady ignored what I was saying gave me the room key and turned to the next customer. The staff on the floors in housekeeping could be heard chatting loudly in their own language and shouting at 8.30 am on the Saturday morning !!!

Great location for access to Oxford Street (just a couple of minutes walk). Staff very polite and seemed happy to work there. Considering the location the room was very quiet allowing for a good nights rest although I was unable to get the room temperature down to a more comfortable level. Team this hotel up with a Theatre trip to see 'we will rock you' at the nearby Dominion Theatre and you will be sure of a good stay. May want to breakfast outside hotel as it is a little pricey.

Great locations with lots of eating establishments close by some with a 15% discount for hotel guests. Room was neat and clean, the bathroom was a bit on the small side with no bath just a shower. Room was air-conditioned with free bottled water, tea coffee etc. The hotel lobby and bar are luxurious, a nice place to relax and enjoy a coffee and read the papers.

Only criticism not the fault of the hotel was the early arrival at 6.00 of the dray wagons unloading outside the hotel.

My wife and i booked this hotel as we went to london for the weekend to watch the rugby upon arrival i must say the staff are very pleasent and friendly nothing was to much trouble for them and also the rooms were very clean and new fresh towels and soap everyday would and will stay again we also recommended our freinds and they also enjoyed their stay all i can say is thankyou and anyone thinking of booking this hotel go for it .

First of all the hotel was overly charged. It was a very tiny room with an improper air conditioning system. Even on max fan speed, it never could manage to bring down the temperature of the room below 25 degree centigrade. The flush in the toilet was not working. The door bell was not working. The bathroom was even tinier.
