We had a really enjoyable time here. We declined an upgrade on arrival for a standard room which I must say was excellent. it had a really Cool DVD Player,LCD Screen and the room was very large and comfortable. bright bathroom with Power shower. Wed did not have dinner but breakfast was excellent with a great choice. For a nice change it was not the dreaded buffet but freshly cooked. great staff also and free wi fi

We had a lovely time in this charming hotel with amazing decor and a gorgeous display of antiques and beautiful color schemes throughout. It was also quaintly decorated for Christmas....Very lovely with the fireplaces going on a very cold weekend! What a wonderful feeling when we entered the front door!Any staff that we encountered were professional and friendly.An area for improvent needed would only be the regrouting and touch up paint jobs in guestroom toilets and lobby bathrooms. The beautiful bedspread that matched the grand curtains was quite worn out on the queen sized bed. But, we really loved our room anyway...very warm, cozy feeling, clean and quite spacious as well.Waitress at breakfast was very accommodating when I brought my own gluten free bread for toasting. Perhaps they could provide this or more for celiacs since so many people have gluten or wheat alergies these days. The breakfast room was gorgeous with chandelier and ornate linens and china. Although, the coffee was very disappointing...we couldn't drink. It was so exquisitely presented that our expecations were for freshly ground or brewed coffee, but it tasted either instant or that awful stuff that many hotels purchase frozen. We went to the town for our coffee after breakfast! Hopefully, the hotel will read this and try to improve before we return, as we thoroughly enjoyed everything else during our stay and plan to go back in the near future if the rate is still reasonable!

The staff are very friendly and service excellent. I also had treatments in the Spa and the therapist was excellent. My only issue is they do not have a lift to the 1st floor as it is an old hotel building so you just need to be aware of getting your luggage up the 1st floor. Other than that would definately stay there again.

The reception staff on arrival were exceedingly helpful in arranging a change of room given that the first room was somewhat dark & dismal overlooking an inner courtyard. A new room was provided with much better surroundings and outlook to the local mountains. This is an excellent hotel with all staff seemingly willing to do all that they can to make a stay as enjoyable as possible. It is clearly a winner on price when their lower rates apply from 1st November, albeit during their low season period.

4 star luxury hotel it is not. We payed 4 star prices for a 2 star service. At the time of reservation I specifically requested a twin non-smoking room. At check-in I was allocated a double room which was then amended by the receptionist. The twin room has a distinct smell of smoke. When I approached the reception staff about this I was dismissed in a most unprofessional manner. The carpet on the stairs was stained and one of the sofas on the first floor was broken.The hook on the bathroom was missing leaving a gaping hole. The bedroom furniture was scratched creating a shoddy atmosphere in the room.Please inform me, how this hotel is permitted to have a 4 star rating? We stayed in a 3 star hotel the night after departing from this hotel which was far superior.

My wife and I were in Kilarney for a 3-day mid week break. Hotel is central within easy walking distance of the Park, resturants and shopping areas. The staff were very helpful, the room was larger than average, the bathroom had a huge walk in shower and a heated mirror which did not steam-up. Breakasts were excellent with attentive waiter service We would have no hestitation in using this hotel again

Easy to find. Very pleasant and helpful staff. On a B&B rate so we only ate breakfast at the hotel, which easily met our expectations.

The hotel had no record of our booking. We were put in a smoking room next to a lift, we asked to be moved to a non smoking room away from the lift. We were moved to a non smoking room but were still next to a lift which made constant noise. Since the hotel was practically empty we thought they could have fulfilled this simple request. Two of the 4 lamps in the room had no bulbs and the room was therefore dark. The hair dryer was broken, there was no pen in the room, no tea/coffee facilities.
