Stayed here with friends for the Holiday Bowl. The hotel grounds and buildings are beautiful....even in the winter. We were moved three times before we got a room. Rooms are very nice. Spent a lovely New Year's Eve in the Veranda Restaurant enjoying a 5-star dinner. Will definitely stay again.

Quiet location. Very comfortable beds. I was surprised by the "resort fee ($20) & parking fee ($10)

The Rancho Bernardo Inn is exceptional in everything- the service and hospitality is probably the best I've ever experienced. The dining is fantastic, especially at the El Bizcocho restaurant. The dinner there was one of the best I've had- rivals the top restaurants in LA, such as Spago. I got married there at the Inn, and we went back again to celebrate our one-year anniversary because we loved it so much there. We got treated like royalty the whole weekend! The setting of the hotel is beautiful, at night it is spectacular, and the amenities there just don't stop. I can't say enough about the Inn, and I would like to spend every anniversary there! The staff is amazing and so helpful. I highly recommend the Inn to anyone wanting to hold a function there, a wedding, or to just have a fun, peaceful romantic weekend.

My personal experience was of short duration. We checked in at 4PM, left the hotel at 4:30PM for a family gathering and didn't return back to around 11:30 PM. Up and out by 8:30 AM. This didn't leave much time for exploring the hotel and all that it had to offer. I will look forward to a return visit when we have time to enjoy all that this fine resort has to offer.

Peaceful, beautiful, enjoyable. The resort fee and parking fee. It added 30 dollars to our budget a night. This hotel was a quiet and simple place to enjoy yourself. You feel no where near home almost as on some vacation you randomly stepped into. It has a beautiful zen environment with plenty of trees, pools, spa, and golf courses. Very enjoyable.

stayed at the rancho for 5 nights in oct. 2008. everything was absolutely perfect. the rooms are actually just like the photos, all updated and very lovely. the grounds are gorgeous, it is quiet, and the staff is extremely accomodating. the spa and golf course are also very nice. we did not eat at the restaurants except for breakfast and it was good. we definitely will stay there again when we are in the area.

If you're a business traveler and tired of the typical "file cabinet" biz-type hotel, stay here. The hotel was quiet, spotless, extremely comfortable, and definitely catered to a luxury-type crowd. I would definitely stay here again (the staff was great, as well.).

The property was very beautiful. Our check-in was delayed several hours because according to the front desk manager everyone the night before decided to stay longer in their rooms then they should have and they could not get the rooms cleaned fast enough. We got to the property at 3 and were not allowed to check in until about 6:30. That was a real bummer since we just wanted to relax and our time at the hotel was limited to begin with. The rooms were beautiful (my family had a total of 3 rooms) but none of the mini-refrigerators were working so the beverages were hot, our heater did not work, and none of the bathtubs had working drain stoppers. The bar staff was horrible, several parties in the bar just got up and left because they were not being helped. Other than that the breakfast at the Veranda was delicious, the view was great, and we would definitely come back.

The kids movie night was nice touch. The rooms were not that nice for being newly renovated, the bed was way to soft. Coffee pot handle falling off had to fix it. Fridge was overheating. Did not like the fact that $20.00 additional daily was added on to room rate for resort fees. Nothing extra was provided for the $20.00 daily fee that most other places include at no additional charge. $10.00 parking fee for area designed for compact cars only. The additional fees above my fixed nightly fee was $32.50 daily. For the total price I could have stayed at a nicer place closer the the ocean. The rooms still need some work on them, entry to bathroom has lip from tile to carpet kept stubbing my foot on. Employees were nice and helpful.

The service and guest rooms were great and we totally enjoyed our stay at the resort. It is upgraded and you could not ask for better service.

I felt like I was the only person staying at the hotel even though several holiday parties and a wedding were being held during my stay. The staff goes the extra mile without being asked and the room was wonderful!

Golfer might like it. Nothing more than a golf place. It was a golf place, the site was old, and you could hear noise from other rooms.

Service was not consistent. In room service, phone service were good, but housekeeping cleaning were not good. Didn't throw away trash, towels and toilettries we're incomplete, didn't clean up my in room dining. I requested for late check out w/c was great. But someone came in my room, after knocking a few times, I was still nude. I was so disappointed. She was not notified of my late check out. Double lock must be placed in rooms for extra privacy.

Nice atmosphere, golf course on premises. $10 fee for self parking that was a long walk to the room. Room was very comfortable, staff is very attentive & friendly. Had a great time on the golf course.

The hotel rooms were very nice. They had the feel of your little lodge. The hotel allowed for late checkout which was a blessing after a wedding! The only issue was extremely expensive and so much worth the cost breakfast.

It is a very attractive and romantic property. Well kept and friendly. A bit off the beaten path but very close to the freeway. It is in a residential area on a beautiful golf course. This is pleasant surprise for those who discover it. I had a clean and very comfortable room overlooking the 10th Tee Box and 9th Green. The staff was extremely nice and I enjoyed sitting by the outdoor fireplace in the courtyard having wine by the fire. Very Tuscany and Romantic.

i really did enjoy my stay only think that was a issuse was the ants in the room. The hotel did send someone to get rid of them but he did not clean up the ants so i had to clean up dead ants.
