Date of Stay: July, 2009

The hotel is near the Tampa International Airport. It is a decent hotel for a simple one night stay. The bar within the hotel is very nice. It has a nice atmosphere and serves a good menu. The hotel staff itself, except one lovely lady during the morning hours, was pretty lousy. They simply weren't interested in their guest. The rooms itself were pretty old fashioned and smelled a bit awkward. Use it just for a night if you have a flight leaving early in the morning or when you have just arrived. That is it, nothing more and nothing less.

Cheap and great location. Room was adequate for price, but not very luxurious. Lobby and surrounding restaurants leave you expecting a nice room but a trip up the elevator reveals how sub par the hotel is.

They advertise many things that you don't recieve, like coffee pot, micro,referigerator, etc., none were available. Each morning a paper is delivered to your door which you have to pay $ for whether you want it or not. Television only has 6 working stations, no sllep timer on tv, all lights for elevator don't work. Warm bottled water in room is $ a bottle. I got stuck in one elevator for 15 minutes because it doesn't work. Doors close, but door open button not functional. Fortunately, someone else pushed the call button and doors opened. If your not into sushi, don't go to their restaurant

being located near "strip clubs" made for an unusual clientle around the hotel. The place needs a makeover. However for the price, it was OK. A nice and friendly front desk clerk would certainly help.

Disguised as a nice hotel from lobby - but it's actually a run down motel. The hotel lobby makes it look very nice, then you go to the elevator and it's just like every other $40 motel - doors outside, small rooms, ceiling falling apart, bad sinks, rust.

We stayed one week in Flordia at this hotel and even though we read several reviews, both good and bad, we decided to stay. We were extremely happy with our stay and had a great time. The staff were especially nice and very helpful. We would stay again.

Location and extra soaps and shampoos. Elevator was broke, had to use a different one down the hall. I liked the hotel and it was convenient to surrounding restaurants and other attractions.

The place is a rat hole! The "fitness center" was a joke. The beds were cheap/too hard. There was an open gap under the door; I could stick my hand under it to the outside. Air and bugs could come in. The rooms are all adjoining and there was SO much noise coming from the other room until 3:00 a.m. We called Orbitz the next day and wanted to move to another hotel, but we could not get out of the reservation! Will never book through Orbitz again!

It was nothing I liked. Dirty outdated should be one star or less. I m not happy with that hotel I've stayed in 2star way better than this dump.

Best ONLY for someone looking for an affordable place just to crash in. OK just because of the location & price. Good option for the traveler on a tight budget who has to stay in that location. Not so sure about leisure traveler. Staff can be more friendly & helpful. Near to airport & downtown. Most annoying thing was that started doing some kind of plumbing work in the middle of night! made lot of noise & turned off the faucet without any warning or information! Would refer BUT with caveats.

This hotel has a presentable lobby with nice / modern furniture. It is not until you get in the elevator that you begin to get a feeling that it is really a low rate discount motel. This is confirmed once you step off the elevator and find your self in a multi-level motel type courtyard, as one would find in any rural area off of an interstate exit The quality of the room quality was probably the worst I have seen in a long time...again, comparable to a roadside budget motel. Severely stained carpeting with rotting borders, flaking furniture, old fixtures, broken knobs, particularly the bath's faucet handle which was broken away to a steel post. But the absolutely worst part of of all was hair on the bath walls. Aditionally, the hotel walls were stained, decor virtually non-existant, and lighting was poor with one lamp inoperative. Upon check-out, the hotel refused to provide me with a "check-out" receipt. When I told the desk clerk that I needed it for my expense report, he stated with a smirk on his face that since I didn't book the room directly with them , to " Go to Travel agency for a receipt ! ". I asked for a supervisor/manager where he maintained that there was no one on duty at that time of the morning. I asked for there corporate number where the clerk again stated in an arrogant manner that the hotel is a private holding, not affiliated with any company no coporation. In a nut shell, do yourself a very big favor...spend a little extra and stay at a decent reputale hotel.

Great night for quick stay. A/C in room was my only issue which really wasn't keeping the room cold but other than that my stay was fine.

Nothing! I didn't like the room, the staff, the beds, the amenities. Horrible. Its old, ugly and run down. The renovations they claimed they did are just noticeable in the reception area. The room are penetrated with smoke smell and the beds are uncomfortable. The room was super hot and the A.C. did not work. It was a horrible experience!

Checked in late to the blaring music from the Green Iguana Bar/Club downstairs. Moved to an old non-renovated room with wall paper peeling away from wall but at least it was quite. TV reception and internet connection was absolutely awful so next day they moved us to another room that was "renovated" - aside from being cleaner and TV working well it looked like the other room. Only two pillows per bed ( very, very hard mattress) and old tattered linens. The new room had been doused in bleach and other cleaners making my eyes burn and subsequently leading to a severe allergic reaction. The stay was just awful - the hotel's only saving grace is their staff. Excellent staff, lovely lobby and central location - everything else was simply awful. Stay away from The Westshore Hotel in Tampa.

With a couple of bars at the lobby area, it seems apropiated to use it when you meet somebody at the bars.

It was beautiful. When asked about breakfast answer was unclear. We were told there were vouchers for breakfast. It was not clear. We were unable to finish order.
