We booked an executive king suite, and the room setup was very nice for our family. Our boys (7 & 4) slept on the couches in the living area, and we had a completely separate bedroom. The bathroom is small, though, and while the room is mostly updated there were some important details missed like the ancient a/c system. The kitchenette (with a little larger minifridge) made it nice for saving a bit of money by having breakfast and lunch in the room. ***I suggest checking to be sure that your room is NOT near the ice machine which has no door to block out its noise from the rooms.*** The waterslide was not in operation until our last day, but our boys liked that the pool had a nice sized area that was less than 2 feet deep and an equally nice sized space that was about 3 feet deep. There is also a hot tub and a small arcade with pool, ping pong, and air hockey by the pool.

Nice big bed and spacious room. Small TV with no hook-ups, loud from the pool area, poor breakfast.

Excellent hotel. Quiet even by the pool. I found myself wondering why the pool was so dead only to look out the window and find a lot of people in there. It was that quiet. Pop machines are located close to any room on any floor and a great restaurant attached. Over all experience was the best I have had staying anywhere.

When booking the room, I made a comment I was looking forward to the hot tub. I booked the room on the same day I stayed, directly with the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, there was a sign saying the hot tub is out of order indefinitely. Then, the person at the reservation desk told us breakfast was served for 6.95/person(half price) for kids. On the hotel's website and a sign in the hotel's lobby, it says the packages come with a complimentary breakfast. When I asked about this, I was told they no longer do this, and I should read the fine print that says"packages are subject to change." It did not say that on the sign in the lobby, nor do I see it on the website. When we pointed out the sign to the desk clerk, she said "I guess we should take that sign down." The room was very drafty, you could feel a breeze under the heater. The floors were not clean(we moved a chair to put an air mattress), and it was filthy underneath. The pool water was greenish-yellow.

The pool was awesome. The staff was friendly. Really enjoyed the location, close to everything in Grand Rapids.

Staff. Revitalized old property's location hard to get in and out of.

The hotel was ok. The bedspread had an unidentifiable substance they corrected it immediately. They didn't have the room we booked but that wasn't a big deal. The beds are very hard and lumpy. It was fairly quiet until Saturday night. We weren't far from the pool area, people were yelling and running up and down the halls and banging on walls until the pool closed. I would request a room change in the future if I was close to the lobby/pool area again.

The people at check-in were friendly and helpful. The lobby area was nice with an adjacent sitting area with a fireplace and nice leather chairs/couch. The room was comfortable and clean. The closet doors were terribly cheap, very difficult to slide and kept falling off the tracks, this was the biggest negative of the stay. If you don't use the safe in the closet, remember to tell them to take the 1.50 per night off your bill. The bathroom was clean, bright, nice granite counter top, arc shower curtain for plenty of room in the shower, nice shower head, good water pressure. There is no ventilation fan which was a pain, but not a show stopper. Beds were comfortable, used my own pillow. Overall, the pool area was ok. The pebbled concrete floor hurts to walk on with no sandals, and the hot tub was out of order as it was being replaced. The water slide was nice, they even let you sit your child on your lap when going down. The water was warm and the pool had a 1.5 foot deep area that was great for my son and the other part 3.5 to 4.5 feet deep was great for my daughter. The free continental breakfast was excellent! The restaurant had a huge flat screen tv, a belgium waffle maker, toast your own bagels etc, scrambled eggs, juice, cereal, and cinamon rolls. ***As of March 1st, 2008 the breakfast is no longer free.*** We ordered pizza (thick crust) from the attached restaurant (Old Chicago) and were pleasantly surprised at how good it was.

It's a good location if you're looking to go to Opryland, and much cheaper for a decent room. Just don't get a room that's on the busy street side, as it was very noisy, particularly in the evening.

The common area/pool was nice. The limitation of pool - use you have to have wristbands and if you need more you have to purchase them for $15

The hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The room was clean and comfortable. Shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Would highly recommend!

We stayed here on a college visit - got a great price and the hotel was a nice surprise. It is conveniently located, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable and my 10 yr old son LOVED the game area and the pool. The pool isn't big by any means but the water slide can keep a kid occupied and happy for quite a while, the game room had enough to keep him happy and there was a ping pong table. pool table and a foosball table...what more can a 10 yr old want! The breakfast was a little above the standard free continental breakfast and we enjoyed it pool side.....overall for the money this is a great hotel for a one or two night stay in the area!

The people who ran the breakfast facility were terrific. The lobby could be improved. Nice hotel.

The pool could have been cleaner. Shower curtain was missing, and shower head had a hole behind the wall. Molding was peeling on the side of the ventilation system. You really didn't need a wristband, because they didn't know you from anyone else and there wasn't anyone there to man the pool. The phone system was awkward. You had to press line 1 or line 2 to make a call. How would you know that? You had to make a outside call to the restaurant inside the hotel. The breakfast was good. The front desk couldn't tell us how to get there and we were in Grand Rapids. Had to talk to 4 different people to get the correct directions.

The room was not made up when we came back at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. We were told since we had our do not disturb sign on the door at 10:30 a.m., they do not clean the room. We were gone by 10:20 - with the sign removed and the brochure states 11:30 a.m. Your pool was closed due to a child having an accident - kids running amok throughout the hotel with no supervision. The bathmat in the tub is a haven for bacteria and should not be there.

Staff was extremely kind and helpful. The feature waterpark in hotel was closed due to understaffed hotel. The staff and rooms were great however the waterpark that was the main attraction of the hotel was closed due to understaffing of the hotel, in my opinion the hotel misrepresented itself by not making a greater effort to open its main attraction facility.

Our first room was overlooking the indoor pool area, but the window wouldn't close all the way and the chlorine smell was unbearable. Our second room wasn't much better. First of all the bathroom door knob came apart, the phones wouldn't work, no light bulb in the lamp on the desk and beds are hard and uncomfortable. In there defense they did come up and fix everything except the bed of course, but before they rent a room they should at least make sure it is in working order.

I arrived very late, (2AM). Staff friendly and room was great.

The room was very clean. Waterslide was not open for adult swim. Our hotel room was very affordable and clean.
