Date of Stay:
June, 2009
I was in the Pelham area for 2 days and this hotel worked out well. It is close to the entrance to Oak Mountain State Park which I was visiting. It is directly off I65. Although close to the interstate, you do not typically hear any traffic even if on that side. Rooms are clean and functional, with a mini fridge and microwave. This is a good bargain for those in the area 1 or 2 days.

Convenient to Birmingham and areas south of the city, easy on/off of I-65. We were stuck with a smoking room which made our stay very unpleasant.

This was a great place to stay. It was easy to get to, there were lots of places to eat nearby, the location was in a clean, safe area of town. Room was very clean, service was exceptional. One of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. And the price was great. Did not use the pool but it also looked very clean. Overall I would recommend this highly and if I am in the area again, I will definitely go back there. I give it an A++++.

Simple access to I-65 Good resturanta nearby

Convenient to interstate, shopping & restaurants. Great interstate access & reasonably priced for the economizing business traveler.

This place was like a home away from home. The room was very clean and spacious. The room was actually bigger than the picture. The only problem was the housekeeping trying to enter the room to clean it while we were still sleeping and the parking was very limited. But, at least they were trying to clean the room. Overall with the room, it was a great stay. If I am in the area again I will staying here.

Basic generic place to sleep, which is all that was required. Good location for the need at hand and met every requirement I had for the stay.
Date of Stay:
September, 2006
There was a non-friendly clerk at check-in. The same clerk was there at breakfast. The 3 of us wanted waffles but there was mix for only 2 so I asked for more. My daughter and I ate the 2 waffles and the clerk still had not brought any more mix. For the record, he did not have any guests checking in, checking out, calling on the phone, or eating breakfast; therefore, that was not a problem. My husband decided to eat a donut and it tasted like it had been there for weeks! My husband finally gave up on the waffles and we decided to leave. The clerk brought the mix as we were leaving.

It was very close to the meeting place and also close to good places to eat. Nothing. Friendly people and warm service.
Date of Stay:
July, 2006
The room was very clean, but it's an older building and needs freshening up. Chipped furniture, etc. Nearly a hotel rate for a motel room.

Location. Outside entry, noisy, old no outlet for computer. Outside entry with little parking, service was not customer friendly and looked like an unsafe place. Other 2 star hotels in the area are much better and spent my last night moving to a Sleep Inn down the street.

They gave me a smoking room and were going to charged me over $13.00 to change. This hotel and others are not wanting to work with me to change smoking room are bed preferences. They always put us on the 2nd floor and I'm not saving that much.

Convenient to Interstate and major highways; clean, friendly host at sign-in; many choices close by for food. Early risers making noise in parking lot outside room. We would stay here again. Nothing to complain about. Comfortable beds, coffee in room, refrigerator in room, microwave in room.
Date of Stay:
June, 2008
Right off I-65. Gave us a room that was already occupied. The staff gave us a room that was already occupied. Luckily there were no guests in the room at the time we walked in, but it could have led to a very embarrassing situation. Also, the AC was not turned on until we called and asked for it to be turned on. The room remained very stuffy for a while.
Date of Stay:

Convenient with a friendly staff. Its a motel with outside entry and no elevator. This is a motel with outside entry and no elevators. The lot is choked with truckers and had no restaurant or decent amenities.

March, 2008
Near highway and restaurants Room size. This hotel was good for the and a short stay.
Date of Stay:
February, 2008
Clean, comfortable, convenient to business location and restaurants. Area motels are a little pricey.

Location. Noise. Noise from highway. Other than that not bad..
Date of Stay:

It was convenient to restaurants and the interstate. It the weather had been warmer, the pool was a disappointment. The stay was comfortable, easy access and a nice continental breakfast. The staff were helpful and polite.
Date of Stay:
June, 2007
Friendly staff, newer furnishings and bedding. Rooms were very small, all exterior halls, no elevator. The hotel was an older building, and was a nice stay for one night, but not what we expected for a Ramada limited. The rooms were very small; furnishings were newer, but left only paths between beds and furniture. The pool was okay, but across the parking lot, not the safest place when it is used for little ones.
