Location. No hot tub. I was very satisfied with this hotel. Istay atthis hotel for the location and price and therefore did not expect it to be any fancier.

"this hotel is the most run down Ramada we have ever been to. there were dead ants on the door frames and floor. Paint and wall paper were peeling the ceiling looked like it was ready to cave in and was stained , lots of spider webs and dust."

The hotel is right on the beach. In general, the room was dirty. Hotel is right on the beach, but rooms are dirty and staff is not friendly. Beware of mold on breakfast sandwiches.

Communication barrier with staff, hotel is old and needs renovation. This hotel is in decent location, hotel staff barely communicates in English! This was bad that they can't speak English; it was difficult to communicate anything! I'm not been mean but I was in Sunset Beach, California. The hotel needs upgraded/renovation, it looks old and smells old. It reminds me of a motel in Barstow, CA, you know in a far away deserted place.

The hotel in itself was unexpectedly 1960's era not at all as advertised on the web site. Ants everywhere in the room. Nice ocean view from room.

Our room faced the ocean, the view was spectacular and the hotel is just a few yards to the beach. The bathroom is so small, it's like being in an RV. Could use updating. The hotel is older, but it is clean and the beds are very comfy. The location is wonderful, right on PCH and the beach and just minutes to fun shopping and great dining in Huntington Beach to the south and Seal Beach to the north. The bathroom is the only drawback - so tiny and cramped, it feels like you're in an RV, not a hotel room. Overall, we will definitely stay there again.

"Great service, location, and price. Sunset Beach, which was nice, quiet, and relaxing the afternoon we were there, is right next door. The accomodations are not awe inspiring, but the service, location, and price were all worthwhile. Thanks for sending our ipod charger to us in Texas (which we left in the room when we left)!"

Proximity to beach, free breakfast. Cupcake and Twinkie choice at breakfast (because of teenagers choose them). Overall good experience, staff very friendly, coffee was good and ready in the morning and I didn't have to make it.

The room offered with the view was wonderful the manager who booked us in was so friendly and helpful its a shame we were only able to stop the one night For a good night try MOTHERS bar just up the road for a good night out

Convenient location. No air, ran out of breakfast items, outside real noisy. Ok if it was not real hot outside. Beach side was very noisy outside. Could hear shower and toilet in next room.

Very close to the beach did not have to cross highway 1. Bathroom sink inconvenient in the room so you woke everyone up if you used the sink. Nice location for the beach but the rooms need to be remodeled and the bathroom set up needs to be changed so it is separate from the sleeping area. Easy 15 min drive to Disneyland and less than an hr. to LA. Table set up for breakfast is right outside your door so when you step out of your room people are sitting right by your door so you have to step around their table strange setup.

Location, friendly staff. Older rooms (but told this will change) and road noise. The location of this hotel was great! Right on the beach. Continental breakfast was good, more than just bagels. Staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were very old and in need of updating, but we were told by the manager that the entire hotel is going to be updated after Labor day 2008. Road noise was a little annoying. See if you can get a beach view.

Maid service wasn't knocking on the door early in the morning. Bathroom was super small. Overall the hotel was a nice place to stay if you're on the ocean side. The other side faces the highway with lots of traffic. The bathroom was smaller than expected and the hot and cold water was difficult to figure out. That was the only shortcoming in my eyes. Everything else was to my satisfaction.

The beach was very close and we could see the waves from our window. They were working on the cable TV so the TV did not work. Other than the TV was not working we had a good time. The walk to the beach was at just a hop and a skip away.

It is literally on the beach. Daily room service was nothing to brag about. Pretty nice location. Just a few miles from Huntington shopping and night life. It was right on the beach which was nice, a quiet beach too. Rooms are older, so is the building.

Hotel management was exceptional. For the money and location there is not much criticism. The room and the bathroom was small but the location was good.

Right on the beach. Cozy little patio with view. Very low key at a reasonable price. Highly recommended. The outside looks low budget and smells like sewer. But only upon first look, once you check in its home sweet home! This wasn't the best hotel I have ever stayed in, but it was cheap and it was right on Sunset Beach. Bring your own liquor and mixers, there's a fridge, but no stereo. iPod and speakers will come in handy. Rent a kayak or ride your bike south to Huntington. Newport Beach is a 10 minute drive south. Long Beach just north a bit. You can't beat this location unless you owned a place here.

Location. Out of date room. Loved the experience, loved the location. it was clean. It was just an older room. The bathroom was small.

Balcony and distance from beach. Awful! Old, staff was awful. Other customers were also complaining! We hated it here! The front desk guy was a huge jerk. The hotel was smelly, old, humid, the refrigerator didn't work, the bathroom barely fit 1 person, the sheets were dirty, there was a door adjoining the rooms and we could hear the people in the other room loud and clear. Other guests that we talked to also hated this hotel. The pictures are deceiving.

Location. It seemed kind of old. Good place for the kids, right next to the ocean.
