This hotel was very comfortable, staff was accomodating and helpful. Very easy to get to NYC from here (the purpose of our trip). Connecting PATH train to NYC Subway only 3 blocks away, parking one block away, only $9 a day! Overall very satisfied and impressed, would definitely stay here again!

Location is too good. Staff was quite friendly and responsive. Bathroom space was too small. 1. Just 5 minutes walk from Journal Sq. path station. 2. Friendly and responsive staff.

We chose the hotel because of its proximity to NYC and convenient access to the PATH. The first room provided had no closet for hanging clothes and a small dresser. The heat and AC did not work, the table lamps had no bulbs, and the bathroom had exposed pipes. When I expressed my dissatisfaction I was told they "were totally full." I explained that we had paid for our room nearly a month earlier. Magically; the room across the hall was vacant. Although it had a closet, it smelled of 'cat urine,' the carpet covered obvious holes in the floor...almost fell when I got out of bed, the wallpapaer was peeling, and the water pipes in the bathroom were covered in plastic, but appeared to cover old asbestos shielding. The morning shift was more receptive to my concerns, and did move us to a third room which was more acceptable. They did provide a breakfast room with a decent variety of food and drink. My disappointment was more in Travel agency! Obviously, the "Roaming Gnome" never stayed at this hotel.

The room itself was clean. There was only one chair in the room, which made it difficult to do paperwork at the table with my friend. Internet service was provided for .10 a minute, which I found interesting. This is the first time I have had to pay for simple internet. The bathtub did not work properly. The water would not stay in the tub. The bed was extremely comfortable. We tried to call out local for some dinner to be delivered and found out there was a $20.00 deposit if you wanted to use the phone. This could be because it was New Jersey.

Decent location. Excellent price. Hard to tell how safe the area was. Great value.

This hotel was very nice from the front desk to the nice rooms. The continental breakfast was very delicious with lots of variety. The staff were so friendly. The only drawback was that the parking was a few blocks away. I'd stay here again.

The hotel employees were very friendly and helpful, but... there's a reason this is a Ramada Limited. Parking is offsite; must take a SMALL elevator to get to the bottom floor where breakfast and the fitness room is; bathrooms are very small; sink leaked.

Parking lot two blocks away, neighborhood, and no money back guarantee. We arrived at 8:00 at night and were told the parking lot was 2 blocks away. The area did not look safe and we had two young grandchildren, a daughter and my husband and myself. We also had a SUV filled with two weeks of clothes for all of us, a pack and play, double stroller and two car seats for the children. My husband said that we couldn't stay there. We ended up having to find another hotel. So needless to say, we were not happy having to pay for a hotel we did not feel safe staying in.

Check in was good. Staff was courteous. A/C in room didn't work properly. This is my main problem with the hotel. Dining romm for breakfast is too small. People have to line up in order to have breakfast.

Hotel. Everything. Wrong room. Outlets on a timer that shut off at 6 am. Horrible. I would not suggest this place. They shut off the outlets at 6 am hence no AC, no blow dryer.

I have stayed at the Ramada Jersey City twice now and have been pleased both times. My main concerns when choosing a hotel for my NYC trips are price and location and the Ramada is great in those aspects. The rooms are very nice and spacious, both I have stayed in had separate kitchen areas and a nice private bath. The most recent room also had a walk in closet and pull-out sofa bed. I had no problem with the room cleanliness - no bugs, bad smells, etc. The best part is how close the hotel is to the PATH Journal Square station. We walked there in about 5 minutes using an alley off of Magnolia St (right across from the hotel) and felt safe at all times.

Friendly staff, great breakfast, clean and comfortable room - only a block from the Subway - we enjoyed it. No parking available so expect to spend more per day for parking. First time in the big city - hotel exceeded my expectations since it was the most affordable hotel in town we were not sure what we were going to get - ended up being very nice and worth the extra time to get into New York.

All aspects are fine except the location is a little bit difficult to find out.

Easy on/off to Holland tunnel. No reading chair, buzzing refrigerator, noisy heating system. Old hotel Redux with lots of unfinished work. Rooms were spacious but not fully furnished. Ok if you need a place to sleep and don't get aggrevated with he unfinished details.

Very close to a PATH train that goes into Manhattan, that is about the only positive about this hotel. The train is 2-3 blocks from the hotel. Lots of activity around the train station and surrounding area, even though all local businesses are closed. Located in a somewhat sketchy neighborhood with no hotel parking. We were directed to a parking garage about a block away. We were a little early and the hotel had us put our luggage into a bag room that didnt seem very secure, as it was out of view of the front desk, and the door was left open, so anyone could, if they wanted, walk in a take bags. The bag room also was a storage room of sorts for the hotel, so i assume various hotel staff go in and out of there. The room was spacious, and the bed comfortable, however I had a difficult time sleeping as there was a constant loud drip on the window air conditioning unit (maybe from a floor above?).

Quick trip to Manhattan. Awful sound-proofing - front door, walls, etc. We heard kids screaming out in the hallway and above us, not to mention loud thumping. The staff service is like that of most of NYC - indifferent and w/o customer-service orientation. They charge for internet usage and require a deposit to make phone calls from your room! (In addition to your credit card!). The bathroom had hair from the previous users or staff - God knows. The location is inconvenient for loading and unloading. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Ramada Limited Jersey City, JERSEY CITY, NJ is good for money savers, 5 minutes walk to metro; once there you can get NY downtown in 15 minutes. Neighbor is not the best but it is safe. Room was bigger than expected. Almost no options for dinner, better to have it previous to come back at night.

It was fine. Clean and close to venue we were visiting. No parking! It'sa former apartment building and the rooms are oddly cut up. We needed a place to sleep and that's what it was good for.

It was an okay hotel.

The location was great, it was near the train which I needed. The room was clean however the bed was not comfortable the pillows was just horrible. For travel convenience to New York, I recommend this hotel. The staff was not that great. Other than that my stay was not that bad.
