I liked the indoor swimming pool and the jacuzzi. I didn't like that our room's air didn't work. We had to repack and move to another room. Not a bad hotel. I wish we would have stayed at a hotel more in the middle of Helen instead of on the edge. I think that in cold weather the hotel will be a big hit with my kids because of the indoor heated pool and jacuzzi. And even though the first room we were in didn't have the air working properly, we were dealt with very quickly by the staff.

July 08, 2008 (1 night, 2 rooms): All-in-all, this is a pretty okay place to stay. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and pleasant staff. If there is a down side, is that it is too far from the center of Helen to walk. You have to drive, and that can be an issue if you plan to drink. There is a water park within walking distance, so that's good for families and kids, but those who want to go out in the evening and leave the car behind will probably want to find something closer to the center. There isn't even a place to eat nearby. For folks looking for a good room at good prices and aren't worried about how far they are from the center of Helen, then this is a good place.

The gentleman that ran the hotel was very friendly and helpful at all times. The rooms were very nice and cozy, the indoor pool and hot tub were great.

The indoor pool was nice for the kids, it was still cold in the evening outside in April. Breakfast was nothing fancy, but not bad. Place was clean. Decent place to stay for the price.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great sleep, nice place. Did not care for the distance of the hotel to the shopping area. Hotel staff was great! The room was very clean and had plenty of towel and other items. If I had one complaint about the hotel it would be that it was not close enough to the shopping area. For the money it was well worth the stay! Yes I would stay again.

"Our room smelled musty. When I pulled the sheets back, there was a dead bug and a hair on the sheets. The sheets were stained. Breakfast consisted of packaged donuts, bagels, and coffee. Not even any hot tea!"

The room set-up was very nice. The blankets provided by the hotel where itchy and uncomfortable. Very nice overall.

Convenient to downtown Helen, on the outskirts of town so that you are not caught in all of the traffic. We did experience problems with accessing our room. The hotel key did not work when trying to renter. We had to get new keys 3 times during our stay. The key not working was an inconvenience during our stay especially coming back from all day sight seeing with a sleeping child needing to get in the room without delay. The fact that the key didn't work on 3 occasions was very disappointing. Overall we managed to overcome made the best of it and had a wonderful family getaway focusing on the sites not the room.

It was a good room for our weekend stay. Perfect for our running in and out. Not much time spent in the room, so it was great for a short break or crashing in the evening after playing hard all day.

It had a whirlpool and indoor pool. It hadno computers with internet connections for us. I would stay here again if I visit Helen again.

Convenient to attractions , but not too close. We were very satisfied with the motel; the whirl pool was not working due to pump problems.

Manager provided exceptional service. Interaction on phone after the stay with desk clerk was very negative. Did not represent the other staff we interacted with. Overall experience was positive at this facility. It is located at a good distance from the most active part of town so that noise levels are good for sleeping. Pool area is very nice, parking is ample. The linens are in high need to be replaced.

Nothing. Hotel was not as a 2 star. We left after only one night due to the condition of the hotel and facilities. There was even cleaning solutions on the bathroom sink when we entered after the clerk advised the room was ready. The bathroom had mold everywhere.

Good value for the price. Odd personality at desk. This was a good value for the price, conveniently located. Breakfast was a little meager and oddly presented.

This hotel is placed within minutes from great hiking and scenic views. This hotel's pool and hot tub were not working. The hotel pool and hot tub were not working; I have reason to believe the hotel staff is not allowed to turn the heater on during the Winter. I did not feel that the hotel staff was being completely honest with me about the pool/HT or about issues with the continental breakfast.

Clean and neat. Bed was very uncomfortable. I was not pleased with the man that checked us in. He had an attitude when asked why the pool was closed. We were on our anniversary in March; therefore too cold without the heaters that were being serviced. The mattresses were so uncomfortable; I didn't sleep good at all.

Convenient location to some of the places we were seeing. Deluxe breakfast was extremely poor. We were pleased with the friendliness of the staff and the look of the room. My grandchildren were excited about the indoor pool. Though we were extremely disappointed in the deluxe breakfast. I've been to other hotels/motels which had a much better food selection. Granted the problem may have been with us visiting during the off season, but a guest is a guest and a returning guest is good business.

It was clean and quiet. This hotel was a good place to stay and close to things. It was very clean and it was also very quiet. We will probably go back to Helen this summer with our children and will most likely stay here again.

Convenient to little town of Helen. Much better thanI had expected! Wonderful! Plan on going back!
Date of Stay:

Convenient location. Not what you normally expect under the name Ramada, it is a Motel, not a Hotel as you would expect. Very much in need of updating. Indoor heated pool was very nice, but since you had to go outside and down the sidewalk to access it, it was not really an "indoor pool". Obviously this "Motel" was not originally built as a Ramada.
